That poor sweet dog! To be given away like that to total strangers, she had to be heart broken. I’m so glad though that the people who went to get her are who they are. Such amazing people to take in a senior dog. Such a sweet little girl.
Love the name Maple
❤️❤️❤️❤️
You can't assume the people were bad. Maybe it was an older person who couldn't take care of her and didn't want to take her to the animal shelter because she would have been euthanized due to her age. They may have done the best they could for her.
I hope there was a very good reason this pretty little girl was given away at her age and not because the owner just'didn't want her. Bless her little heart. So happy you got her...Bless your big heart.! I love dogs. I really love old dogs. I'm glad other people that do too,
A lot of people don't understand that re-homing is very traumatic for an animal.
Everyone loves puppies, of course. But, I think it is even MORE gratifying to care for a senior dog. And they let you know how much they appreciate your love.
Adopted mine when she was 8 we were together another 8.
It’s sad how senior dogs are casted asides, because people love puppies.
Agreed!
I ❤puppies, but I agree it is much more gratifying to care for a senior dog..I myself would much rather adopt a senior cat or dog rather than a puppy or kitten...I ❤baby cats and dogs but like you said senior animals let you know how much they appreciate your ❤ and kindness..to me,it wouldn't matter if the senior animal had days or weeks or months or just a few years I would still adopt them because they deserve ❤ too..I feel the same way about children,I can't have any of my own but if I wanted them I would adopt and adopt an older child because they are the ones(like senior animals) that get overlooked for adoption..and they deserve love just like a baby human would 🥰
I'd prefer an older dog. It's so great seeing their quirks and personalities and they are forever grateful
Honestly, I find senior dogs as cute as puppies, I don’t understand why more people don’t adopt them, they are precious.
People insulate themselves from loss with dogs and seek out puppies/stage their dogs. I have a 14 year old beagle now, when he passes I think I am going to care for other senior dogs. They are cuddly when they are old too! Lol
What's the point if they are dying soon anyways and just bring tons of health problems and vet bills
Medical care costs
It is just as well she was given away, whoever had her obviously did not give her the love she deserves ❤
It says everything about the previous owners that the poor dog was emotionally barren and then given away on facebook like a disused piece of furniture. Well done to the new owners.
@@eamonfire some people are scum, it's good that she has a better place now for sure
Exactly my thoughts! She unfortunately had to wait a lifetime to find a home and the love she should have had all along!
Makes me wonder who the real animals are.
I wonder if she belonged to an elderly person who passed away, and had no family to adopt the dog. I know of a case like this recently. My friend took care of her neighbor and her dog until the owner passed away at 96, then re-homed the dog. It happens.
My beagle Lucy was found on the side of the road. She was just like yours, shy, stand offish, but now she’s my therapy. Love her to the moon and back ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Give Lucy a big hug and kiss from me!
Beagles are the best, love to hear them bay (sing)
Give Lucy a hug for me, would you please?
@@nicholasfarrell5981 just gave her one and she said “thank You”
Animals grieve too, and she was more than shy, she was shut down. Thank you so much for showing her the love and security she deserved. Thank you also to your other dog for showing her how to be a happy dog. 💖
Yes, exactly. She was broken and now a happy lady. That makes me so happy.
@@susan8471 💖
Yes they do. Mine has lost dog friends and 2 years later he still looks at their houses. 💔
She was probably heartbroken from her previous home, but through your caring and love she came through happily ever after!🥰
Probably but you can tell she was also neglected as well. These couples were rehoming their Dalmatian and even though they showed so much love to him, they neglected him. Groomers said that his nails were overgrown for like almost 2 years. They said nothing was taken care of. Vet said his shots were long over due. They left him in a kennel all the time because of work. So he has bad separation anxiety and licks himself raw. So I can tell this dog here was also neglected as well. Glad he's in a better home!! Well taken care of!
I can see why she needed to be "rescued" asap. Lucky girl got scooped up and rescued by some very thoughtful and caring people. So grateful to hear she's now living her best life with her brother and doing awesome with so much love.
She is adorable. It’s so sad what she must have been through. You are so nice to take her in, and she has a good doggie friend!! What a sweet sweet story and sweet dog!!
I believe you can understand what kind of person one is by how they treat animals.
Thats why Dodo is the best🥰
Amazing humans 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💞
Thank goodness she is safe and loved as she should be now. Thank you.😘🥰
She escaped Fauci

How great it is to see that these poor animals are being taken care of.....
Yep!
I think the people that 'threw' her out did her a huge favour because now she has a truly loving family who really do love and care for her as she deserves. Let's hope the people who had her have kids who don't 'throw' them into an old peoples home when they are seniors! But if they do...well karma has a way of sorting things out! She's an absolutely beautiful girl. Good on you for rescuing a gentle soul in need of love🥰💓
God bless for going ro get this adorranle sweetheart enjoy all the love she will give you we need more people like you
Everyone loves beagles. You could really see her gradually start to hope and get some trust back. She looked 5 years younger by the end! It’s such a selfless act of kindness to bring a senior dog into your family. Knowing you’re going to fall in love and could lose them in a short time. It’s like volunteering for heartbreak.
Maple is the cutest thing, trots around like a little puppy. So happy for her.
I am too
I love that Maple is “beagleing around everywhere” as she was meant to! ❤️❤️
It’s a thing!! My Beagle does the same army crawl and constantly has her nose to the ground.
I love the "she's beagle-ing around". So adorable.
Everybody who knows a beagle personally nodded their heads at that part hahaa!
*amazing to see how love can transform animals!*
Love cures all
These are not just Pets you can have like a bag or a chair.
These animals are living beings, they are loving, they are family.
When will people understand you don´t give away your family?
Happy she found people that will love her :)
How do you know it wasn't someone who could no longer care for her, and didn't want her euthanized in a shelter? It's hard to find a home for an old dog, especially if you are old and isolated yourself. Maybe they were bad people, and maybe they just did the best they could.
What was the dog's background? Maybe an elderly person who got dementia, major health problems or even passed away owned the dog. Don't just assume people are abusive or don't love their pets if something unfortunate happens to them.
They made sure they had someone to take care of her, it's not like they kicked the dog out on the street to fend for herself. You don't know what people are going through, they could have had this dog for her whole life until something led them to be unable to care for the dog any longer. Focus on the positives here and don't shame people for doing the right thing in recognizing that the dog needed someone else.
I understand your comment entirely. It's easy to see it that way when we are so used to hearing these horror stories of animal neglect and abuse.
But the way it was brought up as being posted..."Must be gone by this weekend"... I don't believe great people wrote that.

It’s like she has a totally different set of eyes. I’ve never seen such a change in a dog’s eyes (and I watch a lot of videos). Thank you for rescuing her and giving her what she deserves
Agree! Her happy little squeaks and whines just teared me up 🥲
Breaks my heart when older dogs get dumped basically like rubbish.
Looks like she's in the right place to live out her golden years❤
She's so precious. I'm glad you got her, she's probably been shown more love than she's ever been shown in her life.
"Needs to be gone" What the hell is wrong with people?!....
Thank you for saving this sweet girl 💜💚🐶
It is my hope and prayer that someday…someday….people will stop treating animals like they are pieces of furniture. Something to be disposed of when they’re tired of it or it becomes inconvenient. Animals deserve our love, care and respect. People need to stop failing them. Thank God for the angels on this earth who make the attempt to right the wrongs done by those with no moral compass or compassion.
That’s a shame! How can they give away a dog just for being old? I can’t believe people are doing this. If you love your dog, this is unacceptable.
And congrats for those who went after him! ❤️
At least they did put her on Facebook to give away, alot of people would have just drove down in abandoned road and thrown her out and she would have starved to death or attacked by wild animals and killed.
She will spend the rest of her days living with love, pets, walks, snacks, good food, comfy bedding, playtime with her furry sibling, and with excellent healthcare to boot. Beautifully done! 👍🏻❤🐕
She's precious, and blessings on those who saved her.
I have a beagle myself and this just broke my heart. :( beagles are literally one of the most docile dog breeds, they trust so easily. It’s hard to think what she might have gone through. So glad she’s at home with you guys. Thank you.
So true! I have two and they are the most amazing dogs.
What a sweet girl. So glad she finally found an amazing home, and family.
I know it must’ve been hard for her when she was just given away, but it’s probably the best thing that could’ve happened to her
There's a reason why the reverse of DOG is GOD! Love them to bits in every form or shape! xx
Poor precious soul must be heartbroken but she is in good hands! Senior dogs are wiser and make great companion!
Kudos to this big hearted couple for giving this doggy her second chance!
She will live happily after!
THANK YOU for giving her the life that she DESERVES and for being kind and patient with her giving her the time that she needed to come out and blossom. Your the best!
I will never understand how someone could just give away their pet. I can’t even begin to imagine - we have dogs and cats and they’re literally like our children. I can turn into a puddle at the very thought of losing one of them. I can’t fathom the idea of saying, “Well, our dog is nearly 10 years old now, and we just don’t want him anymore.” Honestly, who does that?!!!!!!!
More people today are selfish pricks. And breeders who breed pets only for money continue adding to the pet overpopulation, too many animals get dumped. And too many irresponsible pet owners do not spay and neuter
Perhaps the person giving away this dog was not the initial owner? I got my dog from a shelter. Shelter personnel said something happened to her owner, and the owner's father surrendered her. I've often wondered - did the owner get sick, or have a car accident?
@@bonnieinla you should always dig for the history of the dog and find out from the shelter or whoever had the animal about the animals background, who had the dog before, vet records, etc. A good amount of vet records will tell you the owner was responsible.
I wonder if the owner had to move into an apartment or senior housing facility, or maybe even got put in the hospital, whatever I'm glad she's in a good place now.
@@animaljustice7774 The spay/neuter thing really hits home.
My girlie, right after we got her, got extremely sick. She had just had puppies a few weeks earlier and when we took her to the vet, we were told she had pyometra. The vet gave her some antibiotics and sent us home. She recovered, but would get VERY sick every few years, once to the point that we thought it was the end and I sat outside under a tree and sobbed hysterically all day.
It wasn't until about 9 years after we got her that a vet finally told us that pyometra doesn't just go away and that that first vet should've recommended spaying after that first round of illness cleared up. By the time she finally underwent surgery, her uterus was so enlarged that the vet said she took photos because it was unlike anything she'd ever seen, let alone in a chihuahua mix.
My poor baby suffered needlessly for YEARS because we didn't know that spaying did anything but prevent unwanted pregnancies.
My brother has three female dogs, none of them spayed and every single freaking year he ends up with several litters of puppies he has to find homes for. I have begged and pleaded with him to PLEASE get his girls spayed. He knows what my baby went though because she wasn't spayed but he refuses, saying "it'll make them overweight."
Unsurprisingly, this brother also refuses to wash his clothes with laundry detergent "because chemicals" and wont treat his dogs with flea meds because... "chemicals and death." I even offered to pay for flea pills out of my own pocket and he refused them. I considered sneaking them to the poor girls one summer when they were infested with fleas to the point that I was miserable being at his home but decided against it.
Some people do love their dogs, like my brother, but get these insane ideas in their heads that prevent them from doing the right things for them. Not only does that dog suffer, but you end up with dozens of unwanted puppies desperate for good homes.
It really makes me sick to see how animals are mistreated in our society! I wish I could help them all!
We don't even know what happened.
And there are a million ways to help.
Me too!
You guys saved her life. That sweet girl was ready to give up, and look what love did! She had BLOSSOMED. I am so happy that sweetpea had all the love in the world. You guys are a lovely family🌸💞🌸💞
Taking in a senior dog or cat, or any older animal, to make thier last years full of happiness and joy is the one of the most awesome things we can do. Great story!!
Oh my, I'll never understand people who treat animals like good and chattels, to be use and disposed off at the drop of a hat. Maple is so sweet and to see her at first just broke my heart. Once again however love, patience and care win the day. It's wonderful to see her enjoy life and I hope you have her for a long time. Love and blessings to Maple and her new family.
Senior dogs need love, too. Great story, and I love her name, too.
As a rescue beagle owner they always have a special place in my heart. How anyone can give a dog away …..no words. You are amazing & she is so happy now getting all the love she so deserves. Xoxo
She MAY have come from a good home where the owner died and the family had to do something. She was in a place she did not know. I am happy though that she found a good home. It's just one possibility. Another is her owner maybe moving into assisted living and cannot take animals.
"God knows what she went through" is right and thank God for both of you rescuing such a sweet little girl. Thank you!
Yes exactly. Now she have a real Beagle live. 🐕🦺🐾
“She’s beagle-ing around every where, just being her true self”. 🥺🥰
Such loving, caring, generous people to swoop up Maple and give her the life she deserves.
So happy for this senior dog t have such a loving chapter in her life. Spectacular job! Kudos!!!
If only some of the people of the world were made up of this kind of love and compassion. There would never be war. Outstanding save💗
about half way thru the vid puppy face just comes alive - her eyes shine she knows its safe & she's happy! thank you for taking her in
Who on earth could reject this sweet, gentle, wonderful and loving angel? Thank goodness for the abundance of good people to help her and love her the way she deserves.
Beautiful angel. It breaks my heart that these precious animals are either abandoned, abused, or discarded. They are family and you shouldn't abandon family. I adopted my dog, drove 2 1/2 hours to the rescue for him and he rescued us in return. And they know when they are rescued and are the most loving animals you can get! Thank you to this family who has him now. God bless you and your new family member.
I will never understand how anyone could give away there pet, they are part of your family!
This dog is lucky 🍀 to have a wonderful family and probably better off with them, kudos to that family♥️
Bless you for driving 3 hours to pick old Beagle dog. Her previous did not deserve her.
Thank you kind couple for saving her and giving her the best home.
I don't know why people don't understand animals are living feeling beings. I am glad she is in a family now that does understand this. She is getting the home, love, and care she has always deserved. ❤️
Because most people aren’t feeling living beings?
Just seeing her 'lil tail wag, takes me to my happy place. The difference in her demeanor is incredible.
So glad to know that there's good people on this earth to help the helpless animals that are mistreated and abandoned by rotten human beings.
I'm going to a shelter and adopt a senior dog who's not been adopted for a long time! They deserve love and attention!
What a sweetheart ❤️ oh Maple I’m so sorry for whatever you went through. Wishing you only happy days from here on out.
Bless you and your husband for sharing your lives with a senior dog. Every pet deserves a forever loving home
This dog deserves this. No one will ever know what's her souls been through or seen. Hopefully know those possibility will be bright for her instead of dark. Like not being able to move because her old owners probably abused her. This is definitely the best or one of the best family's that could've gotten her!
Omg, that poor, sweet, dog!!! What she must've gone through. She was so, so sad in the beginning. Thank goodness she now has loving owners who will spoil her rotten, and she deserves it. Love how her tail wags now. What a sweetie pie.
I can't imagine how upset my girl would be if I gave her away, and she's only 3....how heartbreaking
The people you got her from, they did the right thing, they couldn’t take care of her. Never will know Maple’s past, but now she will have a good life, be loved, and that’s what matters!
Senior dogs need to beloved too.
All animals do , thank you for loving and taking care of this precious girl!!!
What a sweetheart. So glad she was taken by loving people.
Imagine being betrayed by the ones you loved for your entire life.
I had this old beagle. He was the best. We think he was abused as a puppy before we got him. He was a sweet old guy and lived to be 17. I miss him a bunch. He was definitely the stupidest animal I ever met, but very sweet.
I rescued my yorkie Noah from a free to good home ad online. He was 9 at the time, never neutered and his teeth were rotting out of his mouth. He’s now toothless, ball-less 😬, living like the King he’s always been. I pray every night that he doesn’t remember his former life.
Here's to Maple and wishes that she enjoys her new, wonderful life with tons of love!!
We did the same thing for an extremely sweet, loving cocker spaniel. He is 9 and he will love his life out in joy and love!
Horrible heartless people that did this! To give a senior dog away at her age is very dramatic to any animal but it seems that this poor girl didn't live in a loving environment to begin with. She now has a loving place where people really love her and care for her and where she can live out her final years. Thank you so much for rescuing this sweet, sweet girl!☺️👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Senior dogs are really hard to live with because you know they're not going to be around too much longer and you know it's going to hurt when you lose them but they're still wonderful thank you so much for giving her a home
This poor beautiful dog was probably just being used for breeding. No affection was shown to her. So glad she found YOU!!!! X
Thank you guys so much for rescuing Maple, this wonderful beagle! She so needed lovely careing people like you! I hope your home can be her forever home. So many times senior beagles are bypassed. Our last beagle Lucy was a senior beagle, she passed last fall. Miss hrr so much, we had her about 8 years. We now have Bailey, & Shiloh. Bailey came from a research lab in MD. Hhis first 2.5 years were in the kab, had never had been outside! Can you imagine? At first he was afraid of EVERYTHING, but now after 8 months with us, he's loving life! I walk both beagles 2 miles every day, they love it, and we love them dearly!
That's great. I've seen videos of beagles being punched & shaken and yelled at in vivisection labs while being force dosed with pharma drugs (undercover footage, of course). They're sold by breeders to these labs just because they are so sweet and docile. I'm so glad animal organizations made it legally possible to adopt these poor sad creatures and finally give them to someone who loves them.
She’s a beautiful girl! Bless you for saving her life! Many people don’t deserve a dog they are heartless and cruel!
You guys are good people, glad she found a home that would appreciate her and make her senior years comfortable and most importantly enjoyable.
We did the same with a 12 year old Shih Tzu. He lived in a small apartment with his Mom. His Mom loved him and cared for him right up until she passed from cancer. Her family opted not to keep him and were planning on having him put to sleep. Fortunately a neighbor blasted on Facebook about him and serendipity I just happened to see it. I picked him up the next day and we never looked back. He loved us and we loved him instantly. He was so excited to have his own yard he could go out whenever he wanted, a jack russell playmate, trips to the park and cats to play with and chase. We lost him just after his 16th birthday and we will always miss our boy Sherman although we are happy to have him reconnect with his first Mom on the other side.
Just thank you to ALL the Dodo people who rescue and post these videos. You're all my heroes.
She's so sweet. I think Cooper filled her in and told her u guys r a great mom and dad. So she finally let u in her heart. Im so happy u scooped her up and gave her a beautiful family for the rest of her life. Ur amazing ppl. 💖🐕🐾💞
Thank God you adopted her and not someone who would use her as a bait dog. You are caring people and thank you for being so kind.
Cruel people...giving her away.
Kind people...accepting her
Good dog...poor dog.
Thank you so much.
Beagles are awesome!! So happy for her new lease on life ❤️❤️❤️
What a blessing to see the change in her. Who knows what she lived through and she didn't know if it was gonna be the same or worse. You're her angel! ♥️
the rescurer couple have really big heart. Im grateful for them.
Bless you both, thank you for taking in this beautiful girl, she definitely needed the love and care you've been giving her. I love how she has just blossomed in your care. ❤❤❤
I love animals especially beagles and it breaks my heart and infuriates me to see them in severe stress by animal testing or neglectful owners. Bless this couple for giving this old soul another chance at a healthy, loving life.
I'd go get her too. What a sweet baby.♥️
This dog is so lucky to have you and your boyfriend as her new mom and dad!
it's so sad some people go through life never having to learn to be intuitive to expression. that poor doggo had such a lonely sad life, I'm so happy someone was gracious and courageous enough to step up and pick her up
Thank you for caring and loving her♥️🐾🐾♥️
I have a soft spot for any beagle or basset hound. My sister has a bagel who's 9, she is the most unique dog I've ever met. And has the best howl I've ever heard! 💚💚💚💚
Does she put cream cheese on that bagel? 🤔
She’s absolutely beautiful I’m so glad she has a loving home
I wish PEOPLE would take care of their dogs. They are family.❤
Gonna loose my baby this week. My precious cat Snidge. He’s only 10. I’m just beside myself. He’s at the vets right now getting electrolytes so I can have some time to say goodbye. His kidney disease has taken him irregardless of all we did. Thank u DoDo for showing these videos. It warms my heart. 😰😰😰😰
I'm so sorry. I lost my beautiful little mini schnauzer a few weeks ago and cry everyday. Will be thinking of you
So glad these wo wonderful people
rescued her!!!Now she's living the dream.Blessings🙏🥰
I hate it when people give dogs away for free. Sometimes dogs like that don't get as lucky as this beagle was! Thank you for rescuing her!
She looks 5 years younger at the end of the video! So sad to see these pets face so much neglect in their later years. So happy Maple found a loving home.
She found the family she deserves. You are angels ❤️❤️❤️
Aww, it fills my heart to see a youtuber devote their channel to animals.
You’re awesome for saving that beautiful little Beagle. You saved her.
Her former owners...Total animals! People are the real animals! Thank you for loving her!
Whomever adopted her are angels walking through this earth. The dog finally got the love she deserved. Thanks for sharing 👍
So glad they saved this beautiful girl! Our daughter has an elderly female Beagle she's just the sweetest little girl I love her to the Moon. Her name is Moxie I call her Foxie Moxie❣️🐶
How heartless to just ditch the dog. How heartless to give the best care you can for your pet. And a huge huge huge thumbs up for driving 3 miles each way to rescue her.
Love & attention makes all the difference! Thank you for giving this pretty pup a well deserved life.
