The terms "bar stool" and "counter stool" are often used interchangeably, but they are different.
Want to know how to figure out which one is right for you? Counter stool vs bar stool? Get out your tape measure.
0:14 - Bar height stools work great for table surfaces that are 40 to 43 inches from the floor.
0:19 - Counter height stools work well for surfaces 35 to 39 inches from the floor.
0:26 - Adjustable barstools. If in doubt, consider an adjustable design that can be raised and lowered as needed.
0:34 - How much leg room between barstools do you need?
Make sure there's at least 9 to 12 inches of leg room between the seat and the bottom surface of the counter or bar.
