Now this has been one of the most effective method for me when treating dropsy and swim bladder issues sometime swim ladder problem can only be a mild problem in which the goldfish gulps up a lot of air while consuming food and that air gets trapped inside of the fish which causes in balance for the fish and fish finds it difficult while swimming if your fish is relief suffering from swim bladder problem or look at the video for the complete treatment

I had this happen to my Ryukin gold fish. It was literally upside down. According to UA-cam videos, it was bloated. I couldn't find myself performing surgery. I recall giving my kids camomile tea when they were bloated as babies. I had my fish 3 years and it's huge. He was dieing on me. I used 2 tea bags a cup of tea. Added to a gallon of water. Kept the fish in there for about 20 min. Put him in his tank watched him for about 20 min. It was working he flipped right side up. I put him another 10 min in tea water. Back into tank . He's been good ever since. I drink camomile tea when I get gassy. It don't hurt to try when you've run out of options. For me that was my only option.

@@arispade8152 No but make sure it's only camomile. I bought the Mexican version which is called Manzanillo. I made a mistake a Gallon is too much water. More like 3 cups of tank water and the 1 cup of tea. Cool off the tea. Hope your fish gets better.
I had chamomile tea sachets at home and tried this tea solution twice on my Oranda today, also i followed the same treatment in this video, i can say my fish is much better now

I rescued a large fantail last Saturday and have been treating him for swim bladder issues, as well as ammonia burn. I really hope he pulls through (knock on wood). He is quite affectionate and loves attention. The ammonia burn is the big issue. I appreciate the tip! I'm trying everything I can, but I don't want to do too much at once, as it is stressful for him and that could just make things worse. I actually have digestion/stomach problems and drink herbal teas, myself. Chamomile helps, for sure. I'll have to pick some up, though, as mine also has other things in it.

Found very easy and effective solution. My fish had dropsy nd was literally on the verge of dying. So as a last chance I put some Azee solution which we use for kid for 3 days in tank... my fish got cured nd is healthy now
What dosage did you use to cure your fish? Mine is struggling hard to survive 😢

Make sure you get sinking food. It'll help with this. The goldfish suck in a lot of air with floating food.
Yes, it helps to soak pellets in some water for a few minutes before putting them into the aquarium to reduce any trapped air pockets in the food

I started this treatment yesterday after i lost a beautiful Oranda 😢 and the other one was just going around with the flow not able to control his body due to SBD
I treated the tank with Pimafix , Melafix and API super Ick Cure combo for one week but the situation was out of control and none of those medicines worked!
Today is 2nd day of using Metrogyl 400 and the remaining ick spots on Oranda’s fins are all gone, he is swimming and has started eating peas although he is still not very well and sometimes flips on side but the progress is huge and im so happy 😍
I wish i had known this medicine before and saved the other one too😭

PS: (Yesterday i made chamomile tea using 2 sachets in 2 litres of water in a small bowl and put him in it for 30 min after which he seemed calm and much better, also i fed him 1/4 of Metrogyl 400 antibiotic dissolved in water with a syringe)
Today i dissolved 2 tablets and added them to my 40 litres quarantine tank
(I have been using API Aquarium salt as bathe and dip and in the tank also)

I’m have a problem with dropsy with my goldfish, and I put him in a quarantine tank, put parasitic medicine. The bloating went away, but the “pine coning” would be still form around his gills. It eventually came back and I don’t know if I should perform this method.
What are some early signs of dropsy? My betta is not pineconning but his stomach is swollen (just stomach). Hes laying on the bottom but I also suspect he has columnaris so im not sure if thats causing lethargy
Bloating & then slight protruding scales, if it’s not pine conning then it be normal bloating, due to tumour or bacterial infections
What do you do for small veil angel fish that seem to be dying in my friend's aquarium. I suspect the cause is high PH. 8.4 but he doesn't believe that..he has a lot of natural aquarium plants as well. Any suggestions?
It could be gill bacteria or could be Ammonia poisoning

You can use the airline tubing. Air won't come "out" because it's in the bladder, You have to puncher the bladder to deflate it. (Don't do it, It'll kill the fish) but this process isn't helpful at all, Feed it peas.
Would you recommend using metrogyl if you are already using an antibiotic? Im already treating my betta with kanamycin and nitrofuranzone so I'm not sure thatd be ok
Yes we do use metrogyl while using antibiotics the effects are better as tested always but use one kind of antibiotic and then metrogyl

I have a gold fish with popeye i think have tried everything he has had it for over a year. I cant seem to get rid of it. Hes a telescope eye gold fish. Both of his eys are big but the one has always been much bigger then the other. Im not sure what to do to get them to get smaller. Clean water tried epsom salt aqurium salt. Eyritromyicin. I dont know any ideas?

Tetra bits has 47.5% crude protein. Is it good or better then optimum 3 in 1 & hikari food?
I mostly feed optimum 3 in 1 , tetra bits sometimes artimia flakes and spirulina flakes but very less and some times Normal optimum

I had a sterbai cory catfish in my qourintine tank (My favorite kind of fish, i know my profile Lol) and his back /tail side would start to float when he tried to rest. I caught him with my net and brought him close to the surface so i could do the method. I situated him so his mouth was pointed up and lightly squeezed him a few time's, then i got some water in his gills even though he was in water so he could breathe ok. I swam down and wasnt floating and was finaly resting! I hope he does ok TY Aqua Maniacs for this method!!! I LOVE my corys Lol 😂

Just a process of molting or fading cause of the gene's the black will come and fade and the bright vibrant colour will replace it

I have done this with smaller size goldfish around 2 Inch but if it's something smaller it cannot be done

I used to have black Moore's . Floating food pellets cause this problem. I didn't know that until my fish was bloated already. They gulp on top of the water and suck in all that air. I used epsom salt baths to make him poop. I also would feed him skinless peas. But he was so used to gulping at the top for food he would end up like this fish all over again. I finally gave him to a pet store so they could help him more than I could. 😟
Sorry to tell you man but the fish store either just left him in a tank for sale or killed him
@@denverwhite5910 I know the owner. I've been going there all my life. I talked to him before hand. He told me he would do everything he could to help him. He was for sure gonna die if I kept him so I didn't really have a better option.

Took small radio speaker wire and cut off 4 inch piece.
Remove metal strands of wire from inside of speaker wire, you are left holding a small hallow tube.
Gently pushed in mouth, could feel resistance, held in place with a little pressure, eventually passed teeth in back of mouth.
No air bubbles, but definite improvement. (Possible liquid released ?)
I have fish in small plastic basket, with wood sticks criss-cross over/around fish, to hold upright stable, so fish doesn't float upside down. (Until it can float again correctly)
Other fish were nibbling on him floating on surface, thought he was food 🤣
How many times you have to inject Metrogyl solution into goldfish stomach?
That totally depends on the further symptoms after using metrogyl weather the improvement is major or little, if need if might have to be done again with metrogyl or using different medications, so once is recommended then you have to observe and proceed

Mine floats after eating then I don't feed it 24 hours it will poop then swim fine. Same issue daily but atleast it swims normal after pooping. My apt has to be 70 degrees atleast to get him to poop.

@@AquaManiacs Hi again, yesterday and today i gave epsom treatment and gave green pea (without the pea coat). I massaged the belly for approx 2 min n shit came out but unfortunately no air. It still float on the top most of the time (its quite active compared to the time before all the treatments). May i know if i can do anything else or just follow the epsom treatment on alternate days?(its eating and pooping naturally without any assistance)

I have a beta fish, he has a HUGE FLUID BUBBLE, it starts from behind his head, and extends to the mid part of his body, --equal on both side---he is not lethargic, --he has no problem with buoyancy---he has no problem swimming----it is HUGE and it is clear liquid, it started off white and keep growing, now it is so huge you can see the objects on the other side of his....I have not been able to find any other cases...at this moment, it seems a "lancing' is in order---I will try to text the number above
SOLVED!: I USED a "diabetic " syringe to remove the fluid, it filled the syringe COMPLETELY and had much more fluid inside, patient is recovering well..
