Thank you very much for such a descriptive video. I as a runner really needed to see this video. Your comparison and test is accurate. Wish to see much content like this.
Glad to see another great video! I check this channel every once in a while to see if I missed something! Haha I love this branch off from the main channel!
Great review. Agree on using one button Tom pause. Wish they would allow you to do all the basic features via buttons without having to use the screen - start, pause and end a run.
The earbuds were falling out every 20 seconds it was heavy rain and wind I thought I would give them a good test for the first day. I’m hoping it was just that the earbuds were to big I changed the tips size to small we’ll see what happens on the next run! What a disaster today. I lost one earbud in the middle of the street while crossing had to stop traffic lol. 300$ for two years of apple care but what good is Apple care if I lose the earbuds lol.
I’m upgrading from my Apple Watch series 7 45mm Aluminium to the Apple Watch ultra because of all the new safety features including the siren and stronger display ⌚️
My first run today and it was a disaster! Heavy rain and wind . I got rid of my cell service on my watch so I’m carrying my phone and my phone was calling random numbers lol EarPods were falling out of my ears every few steps. I switched ear tips to small and I’ll try to fix my phone settings for my next run and see what happens. What a horrible run
Great Review. Have you made the comparison between the airpods pro 2 and the beats studio buds already? If so, which one would you recommend for running? Thanks!!
12.0 versus 12.1 in distance on that run is statistically insignificant. And, tbh, claiming that the AW Ultra is the device that is incorrect is not accurately stated as there is no way to determine that the Garmin was in fact correct for that particular run.
For a $800 watch claiming the highest quality GPS, yes .1 difference is far more than serious runners would want. You’re right that technically I don’t know which watch was correct or incorrect, but I do know my Garmin has been reliable for the past year so it’s safer to assume the new watch was the incorrect one. Granted, I said it’s just the first run so not a big deal.
@@harrisontherun You will never get more than 0.1 mile accuracy in 12 miles (0.008% accuracy difference) and tighter tolerances than this are *not* "what serious runners expect". Despite your claim, your Garmin has not been more reliable (i.e. tighter tolerances) than this over the past year as even Garmin does not vouch for the degree of accuracy of accuracy you claim. There is no empirical way to know which sports watch was more accurate in your test run, and making any claim that one performed better than the other is false.
Can u listen to satilight radio. Like I like in Kingston n I listen to k rock on my phone. Out loud every were I go. N I wouldn’t mind air pods pro. Tomorrow I’m getting. Or starting the process of getting an ultra 2. But ya. That watch make me have to upgrade my phone in 4 months. To the 15 pro max. When I just went from a 7 to a 14 pro max.🇨🇦
I got a Garmin forerunner bout a month ago n totally fell in love w it until yesterday it totally froze on me it won’t even pair w iPhone I need something to track my runs swims biking sleep n HR thinking of going back to Apple specifically the ultra geez can they just make something that will work n last?!?!?!
@@ajayg9077 update: my forerunner had a minor glitch called customer svc and totally got me back up n running thankfully I didn’t wanna go back to anything from apple their watches suck 😂
Hi! I think you are the best person in the world to answer my question about the training function & audio feedback on airpods ^^ There is recently the interval function in the training app on the Apple Watch. - Now I was thinking about getting AirPods for running - Do you get audio feedback on the AirPods between intervals? I haven't found anything on this yet unfortunately. Best, L ✌🏼
On my run the Apple Watch would read me the data whenever a new lap and segment happened. For instance, i believe it would say, “segment 1: 5 miles, 40 minutes, 8 minute per mile pace” or “Lap 8: 1 mile, 7 minutes 15 seconds” or something like that. Is that what you mean?
@@harrisontherun Yes, something like that. Thanks for the answer ! I created myself an interval plan & was wondering if the watch (via airpods) then says something like "pause interval" or „training interval“ without reading me any data, just so I don't have to look at it when I want to know how long the interval is left. ^^
My first run with it also started off with a 180 bpm HR. I just tightened it up during the run and it was on par with my Garmin HR strap.
Yes! best running combo imo

Thanks Ryan! This is definitely my favorite channel to post to because it’s so casual

Definitely agree. Honestly, I can see them changing that. Would be a very easy software toggle to turn on/off. And thanks for the comment!
I can’t wait to start wearing the Apple Watch ultra when I get it in January I’m so excited
It looked like your right earbud was coming out. Would you really trust the airpods 2 to stay in on a fast/sweaty run?

Crisp, great review. Using the same button to pause the workout would be great. Waiting for in depth/detailed review after few more runs mate.
Thanks, I appreciate it!
The Apple Watch ultra looks absolutely stunning

Why do you think you would need to get a new one whereas not with a garmin?
Agree…. Why?!
Thanks man
Of course
In Australia the Apple Watch ultra cost $1300

At what cost? 1,048 USD is the cost. 😊
