Here's how I do it. I pray first, ask the Holy Spirit to help me understand, to give me revelation, understanding, knowledge, discernment. No2. I just open anywhere and start reading.

Agree you can start in any book and your heart will be uplifted and the Holy Spirit will direct. The Book of Psalms always lifts my Spirit. The Book of Mark was my initial reading of the four gospels. The Old Testament attests to the beginning and is needed for foundational purposes and Books such as Daniel and Ezekiel gives prophecies that will effect the end times. You become more and more hungry for the word as you study. Such Good Tips, Sister Agnes, may God continue to use you in ministering His Truth ❤️!

Hi sis Agnes, I would like you to pray for me and my son, he was asked by doctor to have an emergency surgery hearmorreideictomy, I don't have cash he is in another country, I haven't been working for nearly 7 months because of poor mobility from hips and leg pain. Recently I was told I need a major bipass surgery since I have a blocked artery on my stomach and my legs cant get enough blood circulation. I have been praying about it and still praying about it for God's guidance.
I believe God heals and God will never let us go through temptations that we can't handle. Iam going through too much in my life at the moment, no home,financial problems and now this. I trust in God ,please help me with prayers if it's ok. Thank you and God bless all of you

Thank you very much. I am usually directed to the book of the bible I am to read according to the circumstances I am facing. The Holy Spirit tells me... sometimes when I keep hearing a verse over and over again, it's God telling me to open up that chapter and read it.

Mumbi, i have studied the Bible taking different books of course others like Leviticus, Numbers which are difficult to understand then gone from Matthew to Revelation, the Holy Spirit is faithful He reveals deep things of God. Now i take a book at a time and i read a verse each day. You are a blessing to me and many others. God bless you.
I started aft the end. revelations because I had heard a great interpretation of it. then I listened to different books from genesis on youtube. I have to reread because I loose some understanding while listening. its not the same as when I read it. I skip all over the place though. I have heard that how you do anything is how you do everything. so true. I clean this way. eat this way etc.
You are very right on the books of Leviticus and Numbers. I have started over and over again countless of times bc I've gotten discouraged bc I couldnt understand those books clearly. The plan that I am on , definitely has my attention. It's mixed all up like you'll start off reading Genesis chapters 1-10 . Then it'll switch over to the entire book of Job and it's so interesting to read and have my attention. I love God's Word. Sometimes I read and study God's Word for hours bc I love Him. I just want to know him more and live for him. Very encouraging . I love your spirit ma'am. So gentle and humbling. Keep posting ma'am. From the USA 🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷. LOVE the videos . I like the book of Proverbs because it instruct about life Psalms I like it because it motivates it's where we thank worship and praise the LORD I also use to like Mathew Mark andLuke talks about the birth and the works and death and resurrection.of Christ

For me personally, because just opening anywhere doesn't do much for me, I will just hop from Book to Book without much, I will even leave one place and pick another. So, I prefer to use my current situationship as my Bible study point. Eg. Say am facing haters, anger, pain, joy and gladness, victory, etc, I will Google 'the Bible on haters/anger/disappointments/forgiveness/peace/ joy/hope/blessings/breakthroughs....' then I write all the Scriptures I can manage, then I sit with my Bible, and read and study these verses. Stms, I will use the verses as prayer points. "God, in this Book, chapter this verse that, You said....... grant me ..... In Jesus' Name, Amen'. Like that.

You can write down your prayer with scripture quoted, then you confess them out loud.
Hi sister Mumbi, I find NLT also does not have this verse. Which particular NLT Bible has this verse.
The best Bible to use is the KJV only all others are manipulated.
