Very very nice and impressive. I would love to build myself a sub one day. Until then I’m gonna stick with my captivator4000ulf lp. I’ll leave it up to Jeff to build me a work of art. I’d probably mess it up lol
Curious if that's a six order or just an interesting port layout with the 3 big and 3 small ports. From the thumbnail that's hard to see currently it looks to be a 6th order.
@@ChupaRustom2023 I believe there's a 28Hz tuned version as well as a 19Hz version. In this video I believe we see the 19Hz version so probably has very good extension to a bit below 19Hz depending on how xmax limited it is under tuning.
@@JilesMcCoy Looking at GSGs FAQ they mention that the Devastator is "technically a 5th order bandpass" Thought it'd be 6th but I guess I still need to learn. 😁
I would do something like this for an 18" pro sub. Assuming you are looking for midbass in a pro type setting: shop.gsgad.com/collections/roundover-mbm-by-gsg
Home Theater Fanatics very thank you for the response brother. I thought it would be free😜, im in no state to afford that amount. Anyways appreciated ur patience to reply
Home Theater Fanatics I just showed her this video and she was impressed with the build. Then she told me that "this would be my coffin". WAF is real man.

The music made it very relaxing to watch.
Glad you think so!
Wow, I bet this thing is just an absolute beast.
It is super muscular!!!
How heavy do you think it is?
180 pounds maybe?
Very nice build buddy!!
Glad you like it
Great video. What a monster subwoofer. How does it compare to a 24"
I think those are really different beasts. I don't have a 24" to compare to though.
More of the boom time. Bring the noise!
The boom has been brought!
GSG (Kevin) please send this man your rolling table in kit form! It would be the perfect introduction to a new product for all. ;)
:-)
Another Home Theater Classic
Thanks! This is a really nice subwoofer design.
Which drivers do you suggest?
Most people use Eminence, LaVoce, or similar drivers.
what a beast
100%
I think I can build this one!
You can do it!!!
Awesome build video Jiles! Man I love all of that internal bracing. That is an awesome kit. That is a beast of a driver. Have a great day!
Thanks! You too!
Such a Fan!! Gr8 build brother!!
Love your videos!! Will you ever produce a video where you are replacing the Eminence with the Kraken for comparison?
If I can get my hands on a new dev kit I will build it with the kraken. It’s sitting idle now!
You're nuts brother. I'd be frightened to watch movies at your place lol!
It will change your life!

When are you going it use the Kraken driver?
We are painting that box literally as I type this message.
Awesome work. Can you provide the cost of the build as well as the frequency range of the sub? Thanks.
For the frequency response I have a video that you can check for details on that.

I’ll get some cost figures together in a bit n
Can urethane glue be used for this or do you recommend only wood glue?
I recommend wood glue.
Think iv seen u build this one already is the anamorphic lens video coming soon
It’s coming. I don’t have a time frame for it yet though.

Yes, it’s a band pass design! Cool!
And yes, 6th order: ported box firing into another box that is ported.
It’s a 6th order I am only wondering how deep it dig

Big fan of ur works. Can u design me an enclosure for 18” pro sub, i love diy😍

This is massive, the real question is how's your back after moving this beast of sub. :-) Just watching that video I need a massage.
It does get tough. I recommend 2 people for this build.
Lol - I use my garbage can as a tall workbench too.
Why don’t you provide some narrative?
There is a version with narrative too. Go check it out!

My wife would count "21" ways she would murder me if I bought one of these....!
I heard that!
