If you read the V as a roman numeral you could read it as sE 57 🤔

Loving these older clips from before I listened to bsp 😊
Also personally I still prefer the SM58 & I remember rewatching its and the V7's video so many times before I got it a few years ago, but what really pushed me over the edge in the end was listening to the SM58 & SM7B side by side :3

Just out of curiousity,..so are you saying that you use the SM58 mic in the same manner you would an SM7B? This always fascinates me,..(not joking here) because I always get a bit confused or at least left wondering if its ok to use a mic in the style of the "live handheld" mics like the SM58 and V7 instead of these later style mics that dominate the market today. I have no idea why I would even wonder about it since honestly it should ONLY come down to how it sounds and NOT the look or style of a mic. My brain just feels like it must compartmentalize things and all things must stay in their lanes. Isn't that stupid?? Oh well. Personally I would think that if you need a clear path of vision to a cue card, teleprompter or PC screen with outlines, scripts etc....that these handhelds on a boom arm would be FANTASTIC!!!! Sorry for rambling.

You can totally use the sm7b handheld. It fits that hand surprisingly well too, and with the high pass engaged you can get right up on it.

One thing we must always remember too is "We also don't know about the durability of our own selves!" Nobody does. We can only hope its good!

Hi there! It's been over a year since I've been a Shure MV7 owner, and I still can't get used to this microphone. I have a low voice, and when combined with the MV7, it lacks clarity. I still prefer using my old AT2020. However, sometimes I record in an acoustically untreated room, and in such cases, a dynamic microphone is, of course, better suited. What do you think, since I was disappointed with the MV7, is it worth trying out the sE Electronics V7? I apologize for my English:)

Today I bought a sE V7 next to my Shure MV7 for some podcasting. And the first tests, I easily fall in love with sE V7. It's perfect maybe it can be more crisp and clear than my MV7.

The sE V7 sounds great on your voice. It would be interesting to hear how those mics perform with female voices too. Why is it always guys who geek out over mic shootouts?😅

Just listen to Mexican rockers, The Warning. Daniela and Alejandra use SEV7 capsules on their wireless transmitters. They USED to use SM58s. They sound much better now. Check out their live videos on The Warning channel on YT.

The sE V7 might not be suitable for people that has sibilance issues.
But I like both mics though.

    Sm58 is Legendary
I live in Aus, and these weren’t the cheapest of microphones, not expensive either
But i had to pawn one one day, the guy initially offered me $20
I laughed, and i was like, i think you need to price check that microphone (at the time they were $199-249 aud) he came back with an offer of $50
Still told him to go screw himself
