    It can be achieved with a bleached yellow color because purple is the opposite of yellow. If your hair is a brassy orange/yellow after bleaching- mixing a violet and blue will balance it out.

    This is by far my most favorite color on you! I have a short blonde pixie and I just picked up Joico Indigo, super excited! My hair isn't quite long enough for clip ins, but I've decided to grow out my hair.
    Would you post more tutorials on styling extensions? Updos? Love your ideas!

    I have my hair lavender too but due to it been so damaged I needed to get 10 inches cut off so I now use coconut oil, it's a life saver!

    yes, use olaplex in your lightener, and once a week, I use the olaplex #3 in my wet hair and leave it overnight. then shampoo in the morning. my fav shampoo is matrix so silver, it has a great purple color. and I don't use a purple conditioner, just pureology. sometimes I'll take the tiniest smear of pravana violet and mix it with the pureology conditioner. but Def try the matrix shampoo, I've heard a lot of people say that the shimmer lights makes their hair feel drier.

    Love your hair this color! I just went really light blonde yesterday, My plan is to go light purple since I have been obsessed with pastel hair for over a year so I hope I don't wimp out lol I have Joico Orchid that I will probably mix with conditioner or try out the new Paul Mitchell XG Shines 9violet, Thanks for this video!

    you don't have to go to beauty school to know that... most people know that crazy colors look their truest and best on platinum/white hair or grey since that also pretty much has no color. it's great that you stated that since there are some people who don't/didn't know. I know that and I haven't gone to school yet, I plan to though.

    If you hair is damaged..you should totally try using the Joici K-Pak protein reconstructing treatment if you haven't yet. It SAVED my hair. I had bleached and dyed it many times and one more lightening and I swear my hair would have fallen out (at the salon we even did a strand test and it was baaad). So I used that treatment on my hair 2 x a week for three weeks and we were able to remove the old blue colour and get my hair back to a level 8 blonde. Strong again and so much healthier.

    Any tips for a natural level 7/8 who went hot pink, and is trying for lavender?? I usually can get myself to a 9 very easily, but with red toned hot pink, I’m worried it won’t come out as red is hard to lift. (I did go to cosmetology school, buuut they didn’t teach ANYTHING with vivids/fashion colors so it’s been trial and error)

    I'm dying my hair red since a year now, once I dyed it brown and it got darker, my natural color is dark blond. I never bleached my hair and I'm really afraid it would damage it too much, but I reaaaally want to have pastel hair.

    • @meowscutie
      @meowscutie 7 років тому +1

      Narumitsu Uchiha since your natural hair is dark blonde, you wouldn't have to lift it too many levels so it shouldn't be too damaging. I'd stick with 20 vol developer (30 if you're doing a bleach bath and you* know* your hair can take it but no more than once) if I was you, anything higher could destroy your hair the first time, especially if you're not watching it. try color oops or the homemade one with vitamin c first and coconut oil to try and pull as much dye out as possible. the coconut oil will get into the cuticle and soak up the dye(it should) fading the color and you wash it away, it will also nourish and repair your hair helping to strengthen it. the color oops or homemade version should fade it more if not get the rest.
      tl;dr try coconut oil then color oops or something like it(homemade counts), and then you can try bleaching but don't use higher than 20 (30 one time in a bleach bath or if you're confident). that all will limit the damage and the fact that you don't need to lift much.

    Do you get a new set of extensions every time you dye your hair a new color? I have short hair and I have dark brown extensions but i have ombré hair so I can't wear them anymore. I want to dye my hair back brown but since my hair is ombré if I dye it brown won't the blonde parts of my hair be lighter than the rest?

    • @MariahMcLean
      @MariahMcLean  9 років тому

      ***** pretty much haha...it depends how dark you go..I would say concentrate on the ombre first then color the top part after to even it out if that makes sense??

    So i'm really really curious as to how you would get rid of this color...i went from red/burgundy to a bleach blonde and while most of the color came out I'm still stuck with alot of this exact color on top..i have tried bleaching again, toning, bleach bath, and dying with a yellow and blue base high lift blonde dye...i'm trying so hard to get it out and NOTHING is working. It'so so pretty but i want the platinum look so badly. I would love it if you gave me your opinion or some advise :)

    Seriously Olaplex has saved my life and pushed my career into perfection. I have been doing hair for 30 years and heard all about this miracle especially from Guy Tang, love him. You get at Salon Centric and mix with your lifter and color and your hair will be amazing. Love the lavender but I find when I mix with conditioner it does fade out faster like you said. I have tried the Pravana pastels and that fades just as fast. Great job Diva
