Of course brotha! Your work is fantastic. Tracing those cd/dvd points to those vias was MAAASSSIVE for these. Thanks to your diagram people can modchip these early desrs without unplugging a single one of those sketchy ribbon cables.
HD7's were a mess to tweak back in the day. I remember swapping a bunch with 400C's. Youre doing gods work figuring these things out. I need to get my hands on one eventually.
I used to have one of these console. First disc failed boot, and it won't even boot at all. It is a good system but flawed and difficult to repair. You did a good work there.
Such a nice install i really want install my spare Matrix Infinity into my PSX 7000 model aswell but i get a Green and Red Light. Fuses and the Ribbons are all fine but it did originally come with a damaged ribbon and a blown fuse which i have fixed only to discover this. I wonder if there are more fuses on the top side of the motherboard or on the button pcbs themselves.
I had similar behavior when working on a 7700 when I forgot to plug a ribbon or two back in. Even the little pcb on The top shell needs to be plugged in. Make sure nothing is disconnected. If nothing is check the ribbons as those blue tabs come off easy
Thanks for the shoutout dude! Very nice work on the install - great vid :)

@@ModzvilleUSA At least the vias definitely helped out.

Awesome work as always man. Your wallpaper cracks me up lol.
oh boy... Great work!
Thanks @ModzvilleUSA for the shoutout, amazing video. I helped him out create the Matrix DESR diagram.
My comment got deleted probably from links. My up-to-date diagram can be found on GBAtemp in the oldies consoles section.
I fried a PS2 attempting a modbo chip install, props to you for doing it right! Badass mods
With plenty of practice, with trial and error, I'm sure you'll get it right in the end.
@@sylverrezThat, and careful studying of the installation diagram for the modchip per motherboard revision.
Love the work you do
Pretty sure I saw Voultar do this mod, looks like lots of fun 😅
I hope Voultar makes a video on this at some point.
Excellent work! Also i didnt know they had a Japanese version of star wars battlefront, interesting.

@@ModzvilleUSA Yes i made sure of that and they have all been replaced. I do get and LED HDD Light.
If the burner laser is dead, will the DvD movie capabilities be restored as well?
I've had someone mod my ps2 slim with matrix chip. Doesn't read PS1 titles. He said this chip won't play PS1 backups. Is he lying?
What are your thoughts In terms of patching the PSX to make the menu in English format.
I did it to mine in the video before this one. I’m for it
