I love how Trudy is so calm under pressure and how Mouch protects her in this moment.
Years of experience.
Trudy is like a tough love mother, she's tough on the unit, but in the end she shows you love by taking care of you and doing whatever she has to do....
she's the tough love den mother that the unit is luck to have
Trudy is built like Fort Knox for this show. Even puts her husband in his sometimes. I will forever love that woman. Greatest example she can display on the show of integrity, bravery, yet, tenderness and humor all in one.
Mo Garcia she is a no nonsense gal. Get the job done
Mo Garcia Trudy is like the tough mother of the team and Voight is like the tough father but deep down they care for the team.
Trudy is a battle axe but she shows you love by looking out for you and she goes the extra mile to do what she has to do. She like the momma bear of the unit.
Even after 3 years I still get chills from this scene, Amy Morton (Trudy) really shows great leadership and gives off parent vibes she made sure that everyone was safe before she thought of herself
Dr Mike would scream at this because she removed the thing from her arm
If you look at her arm when she takes off here jacket the arm of her shirts is not bloody or torn

@@sarahneuren7057 actually there's a shot where she has has her arms straightened out and it's pure white sleeves. Not a drop of blood.

It would be interesting if there were an episode of Chicago PD in which the 21st District gets to co-ordinate with the US Army and Trudy meets a sergeant-major who is as tough as Trudy is and she turns out to be a friend of Trudy. This was the 2nd time that Mouch has seen Trudy injured since they married. But at least this occasion she was able to get up after getting injured, though it wasn't from an assault this time.
Trudy has earned my utmost respect.
I love this show. I can’t get enough of this show or Chicago Fire. Please continue showing these videos.

Stabler isn't a cop anymore, because he retired from the NYPD. Maybe he could be a private eye.

FYI, if you get stabbed by something, don't pull it out unless absolutely necessary, because then you will bleed out faster.

I didn’t know that Trudy was a cop I just knew she was mouch’s girl
Trudy is the desk Sergeant and has been show began. She gives the patrol their duties and occasionally goes out in the field.

I think it was necessary in this scene. Platt wanted mobility and the thing in her arm was restricting her arms movements, and trying to move with something in her arm would just make the wound worse and much more painful. She wanted more mobility plus it wasn’t a serious wound that would cause her to bleed out instantly.

If you don't have the natural reaction to pull foreign objects that pierced your body, it will lead to infection. Pulling it out will lessen the pain (though it hurts like hell pulling it out), and it will save the pain of infection.

Even-though Platt is an outstanding & a survivor of an actress.. I get it..its her job to be tough, firm, consisted, & to make sure everyone doing their job right.but why is she so mean,rude, hostile, 😡 & treat Burgess like she's a nobody??? however..Platt have certain level of respect towards to Hank & everyone else..except Burgess. which I don't understand why????
She's trying to toughen her up for the mean streets because maybe she see Burgess potential as a detective

Saw that as well. Maybe they thought they didn't have to show some things because she pulled out the debris. IRL most cops would likely not do that though as penetrating wounds like that are supposed to be left alone until you get to medical assistance. Probably either not knowing this (despite advisors) or just wanting her to look even more badass. Also would not roll a victim like that to check on them, especially after an event like that. No telling about neck and/or spine injuries. Also probably oversight or for dramatic purposes. I love Morton's work though. Trudy is one of my favorite characters on this show.

Nope. A trained first aid responder knows better than to pull out an object like a nail or knife.... the item is acting like a plug. Pull it out and that wound is open like a drain.
