Thank you Ricky. Great video. Your energy and optimism is truly appreciated and extremely motivational which is highly needed these days with all FUD on many levels on a global scale. I"m a student at your school and loved the video. Do you think that with the explosion of AI generated content and people cranking out so much (30 blogpost in a day) would the speed of cranknig out content have to change to get to that 100-500 posts? I hpoe the question makes sense.
I think Google would probably penalize any site that's cranking out 30 blog posts per day LOL Content that's just spun and regenerated by AI and published by the hundreds isn't exactly what Google is looking for. For most big blogs, including professional company blogs like the big banking sites, half of the content doesn't even rank. Much of the content just flounders in a wasteland getting zero views. Around 1/3 of blog posts are going to rank and gain views while most everything else won't. I saw this from the deep analysis I did on over 500 different blogs. So it's better to focus on creating good, lengthy, informational blog posts. The type of post that won't cause a visitor to click out and go elsewhere to find the answers they're looking for. Basically a blog with thousands and thousands of blog posts won't get any further ahead than a blog with a few hundred blog posts. Focus on quality and keeping the user on your site.
@@jollyjames30 Not sure lengthy is the way... But I agree with everything else. I put my heart and soul into lengthy articles and many of them did extremely poorly. Length have not seemed to help.
@@oscarsh2909 lengthy is better than short. The sweet spot is between 1,200 to 2,000 words. But the algorithms are complex so there's no concrete proof of what the ideal length is. But from what I've seen, lengthy articles (1000+ words) beats short articles (500 words) almost all the time.
@@oscarsh2909 One other thing to mention is that there's no way of knowing what will rank high and what won't. I've seen monstrous media sites with hundreds of thousands of backlinks and huge domain authority and with a massive team of professional writers get outranked for various big keywords by tiny competitor sites run out of peoples' bedrooms LOL That's the interesting and fascinating thing about the internet. Just because you're a big company doesn't mean a smaller blogger can't simply jump in and take his or her piece of the pie.
Is "average" earnings using the median or the mean? If we're using the mean, it can be skewed like crazy from a couple heavy hitters and not be a very representative number...
Quick question and maybe the comment section can help me out. I have used both the Rank Math and Yoast SEO. I like them both, but which one should I upgrade to get full benefits? Thank you.
I would only use at the max, 2.5 years for potential earnings. 30 months is kind of the industry standard average for potential future earnings, and with all the uncertainty and increasing competition from AI and AI in the search results and inside of Windows, I wouldn’t want to go beyond that number. I’ve also noticed that with the Google updates, it seems to be growing these larger established sites, so they earn more, but it seems to hit smaller or newer sites, making it harder to get started and gain entry. Just what I’ve been noticing from others 😋
Okay, so $59 per hour… plus you still have the blog at the end of 2.5 years and even if earnings decrease, it’ll still be worth something. And you can always battleship those posts, add a few more, and then the earrings don’t drop. Or add an info product and make more like $250 an hour…
AI will reduce some traffic to blogs. But the aspect of blogs that AI can't replace is the human experience. AI telling you how to fish is very different from a person who actually fishes.
Hi. Thanks for your videos. The information you give is incredible. You inspire me to start my own blog. My worry is would I be able to compete. I am considering a SketchUp blog offering help and advice. Do you think it's a good idea or too competitive? Thanks again!

I would love to meet these people getting 68K page views a month and getting 36-37$ per thousand. I've been doing this 4 years, with decent/to good SEO, and I'm getting 2-3$ per 1,000, and I'm also getting roughly 45K per month in page views. (With 600+ articles.) I feel like this data is a bit skewed, because a) people are more likely to announce better, b) its like studies of 'size', you are going to get more on the HIGH or LARGE end of the spectrum responding than the lower end, c) I think people round up a bit, and d) its also a self-filled out survey, so who knows if its 100% done in good faith as well.
@@IncomeSchool I get it. But do you think there could be a chance of skewing numbers since its self-reported? (especially for those not in Project 24?)
Hey, one of my sites had $15/1k. So yeah, it's not surprising. Make sure your target audience have the time and money to spend (But again, we can't go for a niche where we don't have enough expertise. It's a luck if you have expertise in those high valued niche). And of course, try to target the US.
@@stockmeat I get that there's outliers, not saying NOBODY is making the money they get. But I find the idea of it being the "average" is a bit wrong. Maybe "median" is closer to the truth than "average"? Because I have to imagine if you really asked the masses (like ALL bloggers), the average would be closer to 0$ but the median still bumps up closer to 10-15$. It also depends on a TON of factors. Niches, demographics, content, SEO prevalence, writing ability, markets, social media, countries, etc. For example, my niche is Craft Beer. American craft beer to be exact. Its not a HUGE niche as far as blogging goes, but its also a pretty hyper-specialized niche that has a few "BIG NAME" blogs/pages, and then nothing else. And people don't really seem to do a lot of traveling to other sites other than those big blog/site pages. And thats where building a community gets important, but unfortunately, that community is going to be relatively small (as communities always are), and less likely to KEEP buying from affiliates, etc. I feel sometimes like videos like this and blog ideas like this take the "writing out of it", and while its not AI generated content, if all of your content is so geared towards SEO and keyword and making money, it becomes in a way and fashion a commercialized product, and not just true writing. Its like Human AI generated in a weird way if that makes any sense. I also think this video really should use the term "median" instead of "average". It would be interesting to see a comparison between the two, but then of course, the problem is still 1) self reporting, and 2) how big of a demographic and market sample size are we using for the statistics and information here. (I would have liked to have seen some transparency on the statistics, like total number of sites, age of sites, amount of content, and a lot of the other variables listed, given to us as viewers.)
Mean and median give me about the same results. I acknowledge that fewer people who earn very little money from their blog are likely to report. That said, there’s no benefit to anyone here to report higher numbers than what’s true. I’m sure that if I could get more people who earn $0 to report, the numbers would decrease (obviously) but purposely selling out low income earners would literally be deliberate skewing of the data. The Bureau of Labor Statistics literally relies on self reporting to understand how our workforce is doing, yet they trust the data. It’s easy to look at a video like this and say “The data is wrong” or “this doesn’t apply to me or my niche”. A more productive perspective would be to look at it and say “what’s preventing me from getting those numbers that SO many others are getting?” And then get after it.

Hi, great video, I have one question, is it possible to make money as a blogger when English is not my first language? I’ve worked in the language industry for the last few years, translating English texts into my native language (I am from a central European country). I’ve also done translations in the other direction (into English) occasionally (although this is discouraged as one should focus on translating primarily into his/her first language). I’ve studied English for the last 20 years, and they say I am proficient in English (C2 level of proficiency), but even so I don’t feel like being able to express myself as aptly and naturally as in my mother tongue. Provided I send the texts to an English-native editor prior to publishing, do you think it’s a good idea for an ESL (English as a Second Language) speaker to give it a shot? I know I could target the domestic audience of my country, but from what I’ve heard the earnings would be much lower, so I’d like to target Americans if at all possible.
We have several Projects 24 members as well as subscribers to this channel who are doing it. You can definitely get a massive English speaker to edit your writing, but I suspect you’ll be able to write well enough and with just a little guidance early on, you’ll get a lot better as you practice.

These are valuable insights. However, are you capturing the full picture? There are millions of bloggers out there who do not earn a penny. Your statistics are based on a biased sample - the ones who actually make money. Therefore, they can be misleading. Don't get me wrong, I love your channel and that you are giving hope to the bloggers. Just felt I needed to point out to this fact.
I invited anyone to participate in the survey. There were some earning nothing who I did include. However, you’re probably right that the $0 earners are probably underrepresented in this sample.
Yeah, but ranking number 3 or 4 behind the big guys in a popular topic is far better than ranking number 1 in a topic that no one is interested in. The top 2 rankings are usually short and lacking in information because they got there on their name alone. Your item needs to be longer and more thorough to be in with a chance.
can AI impact blogging in future? no, not for relevant information. if apple launches a new product, information available in apple website is sole knowledge base for AI, AI cannot experience and product and write a view on it, AI cant visit a place and describe how it is changes for human to human experience. AI cant impact blogging until it get ability to 'feel', which will never happen. it can give in sights but not much more than that. search engines must also work on algorithms to evade AI generated content and rank genuine content better.

Content that's just spun and regenerated by AI and published by the hundreds isn't exactly what Google is looking for.
@@jollyjames30 alright, thanks for sharing!
@@oscarsh2909 One other thing to mention is that there's no way of knowing what will rank high and what won't. I've seen monstrous media sites with hundreds of thousands of backlinks and huge domain authority and with a massive team of professional writers get outranked for various big keywords by tiny competitor sites run out of peoples' bedrooms LOL
That's the interesting and fascinating thing about the internet. Just because you're a big company doesn't mean a smaller blogger can't simply jump in and take his or her piece of the pie.
Is "average" earnings using the median or the mean?
If we're using the mean, it can be skewed like crazy from a couple heavy hitters and not be a very representative number...
Mean with outliers removed
I never thought about it before, but blogging, before you're profitable enough to do only that, is an "odd job." 🤔
Quick question and maybe the comment section can help me out. I have used both the Rank Math and Yoast SEO. I like them both, but which one should I upgrade to get full benefits? Thank you.
In previous videos they more or less state none of them.
They do have a preference for Rank Math since it's not as heavy
What is a good average length of a session for visitors to a blog?
Datalicious
😆
You should change the thumbnail to include a specific dollar amount. Probably the CTR will go up. Ask Nate and he will probably agree!
Ricky, what do you think will happen to blog traffic once Googles new SE comes out...hopefully later than sooner.
I have a sports blog where I write predictions - what is the best way to monetize?
Affiliate links for sports products or digital products like the video suggests.
Betting sites?
@@IncomeSchool I think this is wishful thinking.
You got the budget and all for setting up blog?
@@Web-developer22 hi. Thanks for your reply. Yes I do have the budget for the domain and hosting.
@@davidbarrow5149 since your niche involves help and advice, can I recommend you a product?
@@Web-developer22 what product are you recommending?

Can you tell me how much you making per 1k impression in admob
I would love to meet these people getting 68K page views a month and getting 36-37$ per thousand. I've been doing this 4 years, with decent/to good SEO, and I'm getting 2-3$ per 1,000, and I'm also getting roughly 45K per month in page views. (With 600+ articles.)
I feel like this data is a bit skewed, because a) people are more likely to announce better, b) its like studies of 'size', you are going to get more on the HIGH or LARGE end of the spectrum responding than the lower end, c) I think people round up a bit, and d) its also a self-filled out survey, so who knows if its 100% done in good faith as well.
I know a lot of people with those numbers. But that’s because there are several who are in our have been in Project 24.
How can you write a good blog post in 1, 2 or even 6 hours? It looks impossible to me.
Will Google Adsense monetize my blog if I embed UA-cam videos of other content makers (like music artists) in my blogposts? I have a music blog.
Yes. Embedding other people’s videos is perfectly allowed and won’t impact Adsense approval.

Decide on a topic that you have enough interest in to get really involved in it.
What is the income source? Just Ads or Affiliate?
All income sources
my blog only gets an average of 1k visitors per month, how much can I earn with Google adsense? I haven't yet monetized it. I get 31.7k impressions and 500 clicks
Depends on your niche. But I will estimate $0.50 - $6 a month or even way lower than that $0.50😂
Can anyone give me a few examples of digital products? It sounds like the best way to up my incone on my blog but im not entirely sure what he means?
Ebooks, digital courses, reports, audio, classes to name a few

@@IncomeSchool Awesome, to be honest with you I was not expecting an answer, and certainly not one that would arrive so quickly. Thank you for the encouraging words.
should we focus more on youtube than blogging from now?
If UA-cam is something you’d consider then I would at least supplement your blog with video content. Honestly, I see the most success with a UA-cam first approach. But blog content is a valuable piece even for that model.
@@IncomeSchool Thank you. You guys are the best!
Ricky - are you doing the survey again for 2024?
I haven’t yet. Blogs have been pretty volatile recently but it looks like things have leveled back out so it’s probably a good time to do it again.
@IncomeSchool it's always been a great motivator in the past! Even if it's not where it's been in the past, you always bring value with the info!

How I can become part project 24
Daily News based blogging content will perform well in 23 ???????
Please when doing all these videos, show us the money you've made, keep them on the table as evidence

Earn those who tell you how to do things. Those who do it silently earn many times more
why every blogging videos are selling their courses?
But this guy is one of the few honest one I have seen to be honest
I just can't decide what to blog about.
Seems like every topic is covered to death.
Hey, if anybody here has financial burden to start a blog, let me know. I'm looking for investment opportunities in talented content writers.
Hi @libtron-devs, I am a content writer worked with various websites. If the opportunity is still on am interested.
can AI impact blogging in future? no, not for relevant information. if apple launches a new product, information available in apple website is sole knowledge base for AI, AI cannot experience and product and write a view on it, AI cant visit a place and describe how it is changes for human to human experience. AI cant impact blogging until it get ability to 'feel', which will never happen. it can give in sights but not much more than that. search engines must also work on algorithms to evade AI generated content and rank genuine content better.
epmp is $3...
But isn't chatGPT going to kill off all niche and info sites in the very near future??

ChatGPT could kill off the entire human race as well. Remember Skynet?
