This is the 7th game in this series. It came out on PC last October. All the games are standalone so it really doesn't matter which one you start with.

I completed Sword and Fairy 6 on PS4. despite its kinks, its totally worth it and one of a kind. Sword and Fairy 7 (Together Forever) is leagues better in graphics and gameplay than its predecessors. The stories really are special in this series, I have playlists for Sword and Fairy and Xianxia stuff. They should bring the other 5 to Playsation consoles too, though this game has to sell really well and with support perhaps they could outsource the classics to bring them as well. I think this could be the turning point for the series in the west because Sword and Fairy 6 is older than when it debuted on PS4, so its visuals and optimization tests peoples patience, though Sword and Fairy 7 is modern generation and looks and plays mountains greater than the previous one, so mainstreamers have a lot of quality to experience that no RPG fan would miss out on. Sword and Fairy developers really put a lot of attention to detail in characters, enviornment, etc. it can inspire a lot of people with unique genius and beauty to its style and nature.
All I know is, it's a long running series in Taiwan.

I've been playing it on PC over the last little while, and I think it's a "greater than the sum of its parts" kind of situation. It's got some jank, the subtitle translations are pretty bad (which I find endearing, but it might annoy others), and it has some performance problems. But it has this charm to it that really clicks with me. It very much comes across as a game developed by a team who loves what they do, and might have just bitten off a bit more than they can chew

There's still a big gap between this and western AAA games but considering how bad Chinese games were just a few years ago, this is a huge improvement. I don't think it will be long before Chinese developed AAA games are a common thing.
Chinese Wuxia are the best genre of movies and tv shows and its a shame not many westerners really exposed to it. I am not Chinese and i live in the U.S but i was exposed at a young age. Watching Journey to the West (monkey king), heaven sword and dragon sabre, legend of condor heroes and many more of those tv series made me wish there were more games like that. I cant wait for Black Myth and I hope there is a legend of condor hero video game

People in the West are so exposed and hyped by Japanese genre and ancient culture but not many know that Chinese culture is the mother of East Aisan culture and Japanese was acutally heavily influenced by the Chinese, many thing were originally bought from China or inspired and learned from the Chinese culture, the fact that even the Japanese admit. For example : Dragon Ball, Naruto, Katana, Kanji, Sushi, Kimono...

this game was/is the most beauitigul game ive ever played. Was playing on 4k RTX with DLS enabled. Do not hop over this game, its worth every penny. Cant wait til the 8th game.. Cant imagine how it will look but can only guess its going to be epic.

As a kid I watched the Chinese live TV adaptation of Sword and Fairy 1 (also known as Chinese Paladin) so I'm familiar with the franchise name, but I've actually never played it before. Glad to know S&F7 is coming to the PS5. I'll definitely be picking it up.

As someone that just finished playing sword and fairy 6 in all its buggy unfinished glorious mess, this series seems to have gone a long way in a very short time.

i was just about to post i got the limited edition of sword and fairy 6 from play asia when they put it out. i never opened it as i heard it was buggy but needed it for the rpg complete collection. so this is actually a 7th one then???

Played the pc demo a while ago . I had no clue what they were saying but it is a very pretty looking game. Def might consider picking this one up for ps5
What kind of gameplay is it? As far as the combat, is it an action game? It was kind of hard to tell, but if you were to compare the combat to another game what would you compare it to? Like a Dark Souls or a Dragon's Dogma, or is it more like a Final Fantasy 15? Kind of hard to tell from this video, but if it is straight up action combat it looks really cool

@@aandy078542 thank you for responding. Word, that's a tiny bit disappointing but I figured from watching the trailer that might be a possibility. I just hope they can do it as well as FF 15 did, FF 15 had the strongest auto-combat-type battle system I've played in any game, and even though I wouldn't usually be for it I think they made it work there
@@fozzythasalesman6125 i hope you realize that the full game is already available on PC. It was launched back in october last year. You can try the demo to see how the gameplay feels like or straight away watch a couple of gameplay walkthroughs on youtube before making a purchase decision

I’m highly impressed, I wish we had more of these games in the US. I’m playing Sword & Fairy 6 right now and I found a copy of Xuan Yuan Gates of Firnament. The newest Xuan Yuan led me to looking into games that Softstar released with English subtitles. Even if Sword & Fairy 6 and Xuan Yuan Gates of Firnament might be a little bugged, the stories are portrayed well and I’ve felt myself caring more about the characters than in most newly released games. I look forward to this new release. I want more!
I played Sword&Fairy 1 when I was a boy in 1996 using DOS. Even my father finished it. It's the legend of Chinese traditional culture.

It has nine series of this game but the early series are too old and has no english versions u can check online maybe someone translate the old series in English
