Yes to all you said about impressionism while showing the Lulu Mayo page! If the image isn’t drawn in a realism style I am all for playing with different techniques and methods, because the finished result isn’t meant to be like a photograph. Great month of colouring and I loved seeing the snow and birds outside your window ❤ and yes! to letting go, no planning and going for it! It’s great to see all the different ways that people approach their colouring - it would be boring if we all did it the same way 😂
I enjoyed seeing your pages. I just am not going to ever be one of the people that can make each page stunningly beautiful so I just have fun everyday with every page😂
I absolutely love you. You sound just like me. I have close to 100 coloring books and I’ve only colored the title page to Lulu Mayo’s A Million Magical Creatures too. I’m like I can’t color in my coloring books, I don’t know how to color!!! What if I mess them up, what if I don’t like it, what if I want to do it again. And oh my gosh, if it’s one of the good ones. I’m a paramedic, I’m like do you know how many years I trained before I went off by myself. I can’t just Willy nilly go off coloring, I have to be perfect when I start. IG ready. Then I’m like wait, didn’t you start this for relaxation. And now you’re too stressed to make a mistake to start coloring the page. Yep, so now I’m a collector, lol. I just came back to ColorTube after a 3 year break so hopefully I do better this time. I just wanted to say I love your personality and coloring!!
I’ve started copying some of the pages I want to work on, just because I know I’ll want to do it again later. It’s a thought, especially for the “I’m not good at coloring, I know I’ll mess it up” people like me. Lol. Plus, I have lupus (and severe arthritis) among other illnesses, and I’m often shaky, so it lets me color and have fun while not having to worry that my book is going to look like a 3 year old got into it😬.
