Not to be a Debbie Downer, but all males in a certain age range had to sign draft registration cards during World War I. It didn't mean they actually served in the military.

If your whole family tree is Norwegian and you've got 2% Scottish/Irish/Welsh, then there's a fair chance that's from slaves brought back to Scandinavia from the British Isles/Ireland during the viking age.

Yes you’re right Tony. Lots of coming descendants littered about Europe. The Vikings were traveling, trading people. I’ve read studies from Sweden that showed that Viking DNA was not homogenous due to the fact that they traveled so much and settled in many places. I suspect I only have a small percentage of Scandinavian ancestry through my Scottish side.

There is very little scandinavia dna in ireland. It was actually the other way around. The vikings took people from Ireland and enslaved and raped them. There is accounts by Irish monks who where taken by viking and i quote the monk I was taken to
a boat and gang raped as was there custom. Thats a translation from Irish. The viking where horrible vile people not this noble warriors that the like to portray today. Accounts of what they did in Ireland was appauling. There is even accounts of people preferring to burn to death with their kids that surrender to them. Any that settled didn't mix, sold natives to slavery. They where eventually booted out by King Brian Boru.

Amusing. But from his surname alone which is a small village near Trondheim and the knowledge that his family comes from Minnesota I could have predicted 95-98% Norwegian

7.8% is not from Moors 1300 to 500 years ago. Definitely not the Nigerian. That's far more recent.

The first Native American elected to Congress was a conservative Republican by the name of Charles Curtis, 125 years ago.
He served 14 years in the House, 20 years in the Senate, was Senate Majority Leader and, just by the way, Vice-President of the United States alongside President Coolidge.
He was 3/8 Native American (a hundred times more than Warren) he knew exactly who was Native American in his family tree (unlike Warren), his forefathers included chiefs of two different NA nations, spoke NA languages and lived on reservations as a child.

Actually Scandinavians are a lot more yellow toned ( less pink as English). My grandma is 33% Norwegian 33% English and % 33 scottish and is tanned also but strangely pale tan. I'm more ethnic than her and I'm Fair but she's medium toned with yellow tint. Scandinavians may have blondes but they are not as white as most think. Look at mads mikkelsen.
