I believe that new gas thrusters are in development that will be able to turn Starship from horizontal to vertical allowing a final descent & landing in a similar was as the Falcon 9 does i.e. without the overshoot. I believe I saw this on a Everyday Astronaut UA-cam video.

Apparently it does its job. It just sad it did not landed that way we want it to be, but, I think SpaceX has collected datas from that flight and we hope SN9 will not experience what happen to sN8. Its just like the Falcon Rockets few years ago. It was failure at first but now you can see it carriers supplies and human to Low earth orbit.

The real launch was shockingly accurate with this one.
Except for the engines being shut down one by one, which makes sense, the vehicle was easier to control that way.
Also the flip was a bit exaggerated in this one. Sn9 did flip like that however🤣🤣
