Beautiful unit. Cougars have really nailed the color palette and overall layouts. I think the next move for Keystone to make is to put these larger double door refrigerators in smaller towables. I don't think any person traveling in an rv has wished for a smaller refrigerator. Bring on the 18 cubic footers in the 24-foot + sizes. :)
Since I didn’t see anyone else comment on the bedroom open space that is above the half bath I think that would be a great space for all of the wives decorative bed pillows when hitting the hay, lol! All in all I love this floor plan and it’s on my short list when I’m ready to pull the trigger on a new rig.
Wow, what a neat trailer! Love all the little touches with storage but not a fan of the lack of bedside stand/storage. That kitchen bath is great and I agree with the spacer separating it making it better than being right off the kitchen.
Great floor plan. I agree with you on function over fashion. I don't like wasting bathroom counter space with a second sink. I would want the booth dinette, because I need the third sleeping option. The only thing I hate are the floor vents, but at least I didn't see any in the floor around the toilets. I really couldn't tell where the heat vent was in the master bath though. The all in one sewer connection is fantastic. As always, your video was extremely helpful. Looks like this will be my next RV! Thank you.

Well, Cougar almost hit this one out of the park. Almost! They cheeped out on the spare time the penny pushers ... lol I'd recommend installing 4 400-watt panels on top and keeping a good Honda 3000 generator on hand. That would make this a great boon docking unit for sure. But that spare tire man. You need to call them on that crap ... lol
This is gorgeous! I love the design choices and that half bath is great, but u said u liked the gap and I just see a gap for the 🤢 smells to get out so I’d make that a pee only bathroom. I also could see a makeup mirror and turning that closet/desk area into a total “dressing”closet. It’d be cute and more comfortable to add a cushion to the bench for putting on shoes or pants or whatever and maybe if there’s enough room i’d put a full length mirror onto the back of the door. Of course during the summer (and sometimes winter) I’d need a fan somewhere since I live in the south, but I think that would work to cool it down a bit. ❤❤
I think I prefer this layout to the 316. LOVE the window over the stove and the amount of counter space around it. I also like the window in the half bath, but think it would be better if it were frosted. I prefer a table and chairs for the look, but a Franken-table with a storage bench/ottoman is more practical. I love your videos, even when you’re speaking jibberish. 😉
Awesome! Loved it all. I think the table and chairs make it feel like a home. For me I would want a queen size bed in the bed room. Then maybe it would be sleep ready in travel mode. May have to put mattress in a different position, but could be okay for travel sleeping. Love the half bath, glad travel accessible.
@@JoshtheRVNerd Josh it's gonna be nuts when the 2024 updated floorplans start coming out, only issue I see is so many 2022 on the lots everywhere across the US. Gotta get those units sold
That is an awesome system and layout! Love the walk-in master closet! Could use a side for a office desk in my opinion. The half bath window…..I would not have built that in but who am I??? Wished it had an outside kitchen with a griddle!
Another nice one Josh! I'd prefer the table and chairs inside rather than the Dinette. Solar... At one point I wanted more but I'd rather have more battery. More run time that way.
I'm partial to the frankentable, but if I had to choose between booth or chairs, I'd have to sit on them and see which one is more comfortable. Queen bed. I'd probably put a folding chair or short stool in the closet as a place to sit for taking shoes off and on. If you don't want to put in a washer and/or dryer, you could put a filing cabinet and/or a safe in one or both to carry important papers & such, and misters Glock and Smith. You could put a decent size fridge in one of the bays for your adult treats, medications, or anything you want to keep curious osy hands away from. I don't know if it would have a market, but I'd like to see manufacturers offer a wall-mounted flip-down seat (jump seat) in the bedroom for the afore-mentioned shoe shuffle, in units like this with the private bedroom. Just a thought.
Absolutely single, right justified bathroom sink. Swap location of pantry with hutch, to grant access when closed. Raised outlets or power towers near couch, no good when low. Bedroom outlets REQUIRED, but should be avoided if in path of any slide out. Cougars doing it right with cross windows ventilation.
Wow, theater seating, residential table and chairs, porcelain toilet, TV, a true queen or king bed😁other than the cheap Dollar Store 4” fart fan there’s not much to dislike👍
What a great unit. I don't know how to chose between this one and the 316 except that I think if I am ever able to get into a unit like this I would be more long term stay overs as opposed to towing and going. So probably this one. Great job on the review all the info. Thanks Nerd!
Not a fan of the vents in the floor. We have a traveling puppy and her hair would be all in it. Love the colors of the cabinets. I like the 4 chair table. We took out our U shaped dinette to put in a bar top table so we could use it as a work space like you were talking about. Why can RV manufacturers not make spaces for C Pap uses? They need real side tables with power. Also why are 5th wheels not coming with gen prep or one already in them anymore?? It is a super nice rig. And the small things I said we could figure something out. We are looking for a front living with a half bath. Thanks for showing this one!
There are floor vent filters btw. Pretty handy for pets. CPAP spaces are possible certainly but they would require more space within that slide box.. which means a longer RV. A modest 6" table on both sides of that bed would require an extra foot on the bed which equates to $1-2,000 depending on the build level of that RV. That's a lot of money for a side stand and most builders won't go that far. CPAP stands are far more readily available in north/south bed models like this one: ua-cam.com/video/DwXPqPGA2ZM/v-deo.html

Uncle Josh: I always have difficulty giving any consideration to RVers who claim to dislike a half bath being so close to the kitchen. If any of these folks have looked at a "Super" C or Class A optioned with a half bath, they would discover that the half bath is right next to the rig's kitchen. Complaining about the location of the 355FBS's half bath exposes them as poseurs who know nothing about the obstacles faced in designing the layout of the full Cougar 5thW, the Class As or Super Cs. Failing that, I sincerely doubt any of these whiners have ever traveled, camped or lived in a 39' 5thW. RVing, by definition, is a life of sacrifices and do-it-yourself repairs. If they can't deal with a half bath in such close proximity to the kitchen, I suggest they rent a time share somewhere for $5K per week. They'll be a lot happier and they won't clog up the roads, or camp sites. Genuine RVers would rather they stay away.
Anyone who thinks that they can run their AC on their solar and battery will find that they won’t have any hot water, a 12 volt fridge or lights within 3-4 hours😢
Why do they refuse to bring the stove and countertop to the front of the slide? Everything is inches back from the leading edge of the slide, so you either bust your toes or have to reach out and lean forward to use the stove top and countertop space. Leaving the back of the cabinets and countertops where they are but making the cabinets a few inches deeper would give you more storage, more countertop space and have the stovetop where you could actually use it. And I can't see it costing much money. Foolish and, it appears, designed by people who don't use them.
Thanks, Josh! I appreciate your dramatization of the proper use of the emergency handle above the half-bath toilet.
Yes! An optional bar/desk instead of dinette would be GREAT!
