    Josh, thanks so much for your unbiased videos on the units you review as more people need to tell it like it is and let the people sort out the purchase for themselves with your input as a base. I have this exact 3761Fl but a 2021 Legacy Edition with every upgrade they had and even some they didn't but, since day one I have had issues with quality and craftmanship of the unit and that still continues today and yes i have a "Covid Camper" and no one at Keystone seems to want to recognize this. My most recent big issue is the upper sofa slide gearing came completely out of the frame of the unit when opening it and no one has ever seen this before yet Lippert refuses to cover it under warranty. I am just looking for any assistance to get what i thought i was paying for as far as quality and craftmanship on their most coveted line.

    I'm a little bit late in watching and commenting on this video. I was hard set either on a Alliance or Grand Design for a 5th wheel but after seeing some very nice Montana's in campgrounds over the past couple of months I decided to look at them and they're growing on me. First off, I wanted to thank you for making the videos, they always answer my questions! I had thought the toilet in the main bathroom looked tight. Also I wanted to let you know I am 100% with you on RV bathrooms only needing one sink. I have 2 in my house and only use one, I can't imagine 2 people wanting to be in a RV bathroom using it at the same time, rather have the counter space. Thanks again!

      It's not an accident Montana is the single best selling fifth wheel in history. For so many years they've been THE best seller out there in fifth wheels
      I think sometimes because they're not the new kid on the block they can be overlooked as old or outdated. But the fact is they're THE brand that heavily shaped today's fifth wheel market

      That's something I'd really like to see! It would put a lot of my concerns to rest. They don't tout their construction and warranty like the newbies do. I think I read they use a TPO roof.
      Something else I am going to have to investigate more is the rear bathroom setup, not only on this Montana 3761 but with all the manufacturers. I noticed pipes in the rear storage area in your video, I'm wondering is a flush enough to carry everything to the holding tank, humm..

      @@Out2camp I would offer that Barry Sanders, one of the greatest running backs ever, never celebrated his touchdowns because he didn’t want people to think it was his first time getting there.
      That’s kinda how I see Montana. They’re THE established high profile fifth wheel. They have defined the luxury fifth wheel segment. Not sure they need to boast
      Especially when frankly a lot of the things being touted are incredibly industry standard

      I personally think if they moved the bathroom door to the second level right next to the bedroom door, it would solve the "crap where you eat issue". It would make the 1/2 bath have a short ceiling though and make it closer to the full bath, so it has pros and cons.
      They could also make the 1/2 bath door faced more towards the dinette and away from the island.
      That being said, it doesn't bother me at all and I'd rather have a 1/2 bath than an extra pantry. Just turn on the max air vent fan and if need be, put a draft blocker at the bottom of the 1/2 bath door.

    The Montana High Country 373RD has a great floor plan as far as road access is concerned. Since it doesn't have an island, the kitchen and dining area is fully accessible with slides in as is the bedroom and bathroom. The rear living room isn't accessible with slides in.

  • @PreppingAngel
    @PreppingAngel Рік тому

    I agree. The living room needs a desk. There has to be some way they can do that. I also detest floor vents. Yea, I'm one of the ones that don't want someone crapping at my kitchen. lol I'd get the pantry since there won't be any visitors. No duel sinks, more counter space. I've seen some models have the shower walls go all the way up the entire wall which makes a lot more sense for water not to get up above the top or splash. None of your links are working

    Your spot on that the door window should have a shade factory installed. ESPECIALLY in a Montana. And their should be back splash/side splash all around the stove.
    I’m in the single basin camp for the bathroom and I’m not a fan of the freestanding bowl look. I just feel that the bathroom isn’t big enough for two adults to comfortably use it at the same time.

    Had 3 former brother in laws that had similar 5th wheels. This is really pretty inside with the decor colors.
    1. Yes, it's kind of silly at this price point that there isn't a shade in the entry door.
    2. I understand the convenience of a half bath for any guests you may have but dang if they could put an area for a stacking washer/dryer in that level it seems to me to be a much smarter location. I know you've mentioned before that before you add a washer/dryer unit in remember it'll get giggle banged around in the far back or far front. Wouldn't putting it there on the "ground level" make more sense?
    3. I am NOT a fan of vessel sinks. They have a tendency to splash over much easier than a traditional sink. I think one larger sink in the en suite would be a better option.
    Just my two cents worth. Thx Josh!

    Hi Josh. We owned a 2011 Montana that we loved but sold a couple years ago. Downsized to a Cougar travel trailer, wasn't happy with it, so we went shopping for a new fifth wheel. Planned on buying another Montana or Alpine, but after viewing Montanas and Alpines at a couple different dealerships, we were struck by the poor craftsmanship in today's premier Keystone fifth wheels. Made us leery of what we COULDN'T see. Our old Montana was great; so disappointed to see what they are putting out now. We then looked at KZ Durango Golds and Grand Design Solitudes. The quality of the fit and finish was head and shoulders above Keystone. My husband is a retired construction superintendent who's former company built big hotel casinos in Vegas and he is a stickler for quality work. Even he was impressed by the attention to detail that KZ and Grand Design show in their products. Sadly, we are no longer considering any Keystone products.

  • @HugsXO
    @HugsXO Рік тому +1

    Sure is pretty!!! Come on Keystone a privacy shade in the door would NOT kill you to install and include, especially at this price point. I liked the design on the flooring for the dinning table slide and the kitchen slide. I'll take the butler's pantry over the bathroom in the kitchen (at least this is an option). Some how the lighting in the kitchen does not seem to complement the classy lines (it looked more 60'ish), just my opinion. In our Cougar 30RLS (the last one off the line) the storage on the side of the island has a strips of wood that holds items in place so it is secure during travel (even over NM roads🤣), why couldn't they do the same here? Everything has to be removed and stored separately, just saying. The USB outlets on the side of the theater seats NEED TO BE MOVED....everytime you shift the plug on my phone/tablet gets pulled out or the cord is nearly bent in half. Finally, I personally liked the the bowl sinks in the bathroom. Just wished there was a fold down teak seat instead of the current model. Loved all the storage inside and out. Thank you for the wonderful videos and I wish you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving, gobble till you waddle 🦃 🏄‍♀️❤❤❤ Sending XOXOXOX's from San Diego.

    1/2 bath- I'd keep it a bathroom. If someone is spending the night in the living area, not only does that 1/2 bath mean I don't get disturbed, it also means the guests don't feel awkward trying to sneak through.
    The usb port in the inside of the arm of the couch is useless to me. Yes, I'd be concerned about it breaking the cord, but more so I don't want it digging into my thigh. Put it on the end or just don't bother.
    I wouldn't want to move the laundry down to the kitchen. Leave it where the dirty clothes are.
    Thinking about converting a couch area to a desk...why couldn't you put desks perpendicular to the larger slide window- so they are under the side windows instead of along the full side? You'd have 2 small desks, use 1 for the computer and the other for desk space. There might be room for a 4"-6" shelf along the window for stuff and an elbow rest.
    Then you'd only fall off sideways, you'd be more likely to protect your noggin. 😜

      Neither of those brands has been heavily associated with it. Some certainly but not a massive wave
      I really haven’t heard of a lot of Montanas encountering the flex problem. A few alliances but almost always with a swapped out pinbox the rig wasn’t made for (I don’t blame a customer for that - I blame the lack of consumer education and the dealer hitch shops that willingly took their money)
      Alliance has actually been good from what I’ve seen about backing their clients even in those cases for the most part (provided the customer didn’t start off at a volcano rage level)
      Alliance Facebook owners group has seen nearly zero discussion of flex as it really hasn’t been found a lot there
      Jayco has also done fantastically overall

      Technically solar does nothing but charge your battery. Nothing else.
      The other hardware that often goes along with it is what makes it "do stuff"
      Usually that size of solar package is capable of running anything and everything in the RV - albeit for a limited amount of time
      Cranking the A/C for instance will still overpower the system quickly

    Almost perfect! Now that the bathroom is on the lower level you raise the living room! So instead of climbing e stairs to go, I'd have to climb down 3 stairs to get there! Yikes! I'm looking for something with a kitchen, living room and bath all on the same floor level. As much as I love the luxury of a 5th wheel. With my knees that don't bend enough to climb stairs very well and needing to always get to the bathroom in a hurry. Sadly I don't think a 5th wheel like this one is a good fit for me. I do love it tho. Maybe a pull behind or toy hauler? Idk I'm getting discouraged 😞

    bath or pantry, hard choice.... guess it would depend on how often other people likely to be in there. i would rarely use it but for taking a leak... but if i have the new neighbors at camp ground over... they are basically total strangers at that point... dont want them going thru bedroom..... if having a party of all well known friends, still dont want everyone back and forth thru the bedroom.... but i do not know enough people to have a party out in the desert these days, and am not all that likely to invite strangers inside, just hang out outside....... plugs on seats where your legs are... are stupid totally.... just asking to break the plug or the jack as you get in and out, or even just move around during a movie. anywhere is better than there, outside in front, outside on side, in side the arm rest all far better. anywhere but where they are..... washer dryer hookups would be nice.. would take that in place of half bath any day.... 2 sinks in a bathroom is almost useless.... nice for 2 people to have their own crap around their own sink i guess.... but in all my years i never been in the bathroom at the same time as my girl, unless in shower together.. but anyway.. ... not crapping as she brush her teeth, not brushing my teeth as she putting on makeup.... would even rather go pee outside than do that...chatting and doing what you do in the bathroom together just seems ... not right to me.

    Love this floor plan. Actually wish they made one without bathroom or pantry and just shortened by 3-4 feet instead. Dual sinks in the bathroom is a waste to me. Would rather just have the one and the extra counter space.

    • @JoshtheRVNerd

      Trick with shortening like that is the entire kitchen or something else would need redesigned since there’s a slide there. Can’t shrink one side of the RV without matching on the other
      Designs are such a pain like that
      BUT.. I get what you’re saying “Give me a shorter front living” basically :)

    How is anyone able to have a beautiful RV such as this one, and obtain a loan or financing for it? Banks won't lend if you're going to live full time in it!? It's so disappointing to get one picked out only to be told this rule ...🙁

    • @anna7b
      @anna7b Рік тому +4

      Not a joke, just don’t tell them it’s for full-time. The RV people knew it would be for us, but we didn’t tell the bank that. It’s easiest to get if you have lived somewhere a long time, that way they don’t think it will be for full-time. If you don’t have a permanent address with strong history then you’re less likely to get the loan. We got ours even with not the best credit history and we were told many people with better credit than us and bigger down payments are still denied. He believed, the loan officer, that my very secure job (high school math teacher at same school for years) and long history at our residence played a big role. People with more work history of bouncing between jobs and a lot of moving are more easily denied even if they make more money than me.

      It’s very difficult to borrow over $100,000 because unlike a home that builds equity, the banks know that by the time you pay off the RV in 10-15 years it is probably only going to be worth $20,000😢
