    Nice video. The only thing I can not stand is the dumb ass left leg dead pedal location that forces your leg into a uncomfortable 90 degree angle. I would hate to have my leg at that angle for the 140 mile day trips we do. A dead pedal should be directly beside the brake not six inches in front of it. Hope the aftermarket comes out with a relocation kit asap.

      I notice that too. I think alot of the SXS are like that. I know my Wildcat Sport is. The other issue i have with the raised DP, is your knee tends to rest against the door frame. If you ever hit something hard, you could jam your leg, also its not very comfortable in that position.

    I have a 2017 RZR 100XP and an 2018Honda Pioneer 1000-5. Love my RZR for trails and beating as well as hill killin. However the belt drive jerking and reaction lacks. The Honda engine, trans, and power are great. I just hate the HIGH center on the pioneer. I would love to try out the Talon to get a feel for its center. BIG issue between any Honda vs RZR is aftermarket parts. NOBODY has an extra Honda axle or ball joint just laying around. Thus why it stays on the farm and the RZR trail rides. Plus roofs, windows, hell parts in general are $$$ on the Hondas. Simply put, I want to try the Talon next but until the market has reasonable aftermarket parts and I see one or two in a race ill wait and watch..

    I was not excited about the cvt set up until I bought my 2019 turbo rzr. I’m sorry there maybe power loss yes it’s a turbo but it’s so much faster to me than thumbing through gears. Can’t imagine that tranny is light weight to justify the cvt power loss. Just like drag racing cars and trying to convince a non experienced person with a built auto trans will be more consistent in shifting and speed than a manual trany. I mean seriously my machine hits its max speed of 80mph so fast. Idk the Honda is a bitching machine but I’m sold on the cvt great driveline fuse for a cheap $150 dollar belt to break. Cool video.

    • @BustedKnuckleVideo
      @BustedKnuckleVideo  5 років тому +2

      The belt is not the weak link, plenty of racers break all kinds of parts including transmissions before the belt lets go, and this is a auto or paddle shift trans in the Talon so you don't have to "thumb" through gears.

    it looses the same amount of power. about 25 percent. the cvt doesn't slip. power loss comes from rotating mass or slippage. a cvt works like a torque converter in that it stalls and flashes the engine to a peak power band. in most cases it out performs an automatic or a standard. the only reason it might loose less power is tire size

    • @BustedKnuckleVideo

      I disagree

    • @nathonsmithson3024
      @nathonsmithson3024 5 років тому

      @@BustedKnuckleVideo thats fine but its been proven on dynos across america. everyone argued the same thing on the yxz. they all loose around 25 percent. the talon has 104 hp at the crank and 81 hp at the wheels. vertually identical to all the rest. if your belt isnt slipping your not wasting power. just like if your clutch isnt slipping your not wasting power. 99 percent of power loss is from gears spinning in transmission/diffs,driveshafts,axles,wheels,and tires. this theary was debunked years ago.

    • @nathonsmithson3024
      @nathonsmithson3024 5 років тому

      @@BustedKnuckleVideo and to touch a little deeper a good cvt is allways in the correct geer and in essence it has an endless combination of gears and it will shift through many different ratios in the amount of time it takes an auto or stick to shift once. everytime you feel a kick in the pants on a gear shift you have been wasting power until the shift. yeah it feels good but smother is faster.
