Another absolutely fantastic video! Definitely adding this figure to my list of figures to pick up. As always thank you to Terry Smith for this! Always appreciate the tips and tricks to improve poses.
Awesome, we're glad you enjoyed the video! Very exciting to hear this Darth Maul could be joining your collection sometime soon as well 👀. Haha, thanks for watching :)
@@PosemasterGeneral Doah I try and not collect the same figure twice but this is where Hot Toys grabs a collector & says yes the name is the same but uhhhhhh check out the new threads man! LOL so far I only have the Solo Maul but damn Ahsoka is shipping today and this would pair nicely like Barbara with Ribeye!
I absolutely love this figure. Darth Maul is my favorite character in the entire Star Wars saga episodes 1 through 6. This is my second favorite Darth Maul figure after The Phantom Menace one. I have four Darth Maul figures. Sideshows Naboo Darth Maul and Crimson Dawn Maul I had to justify getting that one 1 it's George Lucas's character and 2 it was Ray Park. Because I am not a fan of Disney and the least bit I'm a fan of the real Saga George Lucas's episodes 1 through 6 and the entire Clone Wars series and movie. The final season of Clone Wars is still George Lucas's baby Dave stayed true to he and Lucas had planned out back in the day.
If I'm not mistaken, the head sculpt is reused from a prior release, but it still looks good regardless. The other version of Darth Maul that I have is the one from Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. It does take some futzing in order to take off the thin sheet of film that wraps around the neck and upper torso. The outfit has some nice stitch work and tailoring. The paint application is sharp and clean. Darth Maul doesn't come included with a lot of accessories, but that's perfectly fine because the overall sculpt, details and design more than make up for it. The figure is nicely articulated as well. It's a nice representation of Darth Maul from Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Otherwise, thanks for the wonderful and in-depth review! I really appreciate it!
The head sculpt for this Darth Maul does have a slightly different mouth expression than the Phantom Menace version! This head sculpt resembles the Solo: A Star Wars Story version of Darth Maul. We're glad you enjoyed the video, thank you very much for watching :)
Well now I'm going to imagine Maul smells like onions, Geralt of Riva style. Also, when Terry first showed the figure still with the plastic on I thought he was going to point out how it looked like a tux 😂 Instead we got helpful info!! 👍
Relating back to the mention of a blow dryer - a wrist peg on my Doctor Strange IW figure snapped, just 24hrs into owning the figure, when I was replacing the hands. I was luck enough to pry the small part of the wrist peg out of the hand. Now I’m scared of changing hands and adding attachments. Think I’ll just use a blow dryer on the hands next time.
14:45 - The other half looks veeeeeery similar to Asajj’s saber from The Dark Disciple. Makes you wonder if Maul is above ransacking a Night sister’s grave for his own gain. I mean, they were adversaries at one point during the Clone Wars, is it possible? 👀 18:10 - I also don’t recall seeing him in a hood either. I was told it was during the Martez sisters arc that it appeared. I planned to watch it, but saw your upload here and decided this was first, lol! Also, do you think the shirtless body was pulled from the “Son of Dathomir” comics?
It's possible that they had "Son of Dathomir" in mind. But I think it's more likely that they had to do the tats on the front for the exposed chest, it was just as easy to do the fully body with the tattoos as the front.

Darth Maul is the best thing that came out of the Phantom Menace.
The Phantom Menace did grace us with this iconic character!! Haha, thanks for watching :)
What about Darth Jar Jar?
And great video as always! Such a cool figure especially with that box. I hope we get to see more ancient Mandalorian art in the future of the canon..

Do you have issues with the shoulder pads popping off?
Don't forget it was Lucas's idea to bring Darth Maul back not Dave Filoni.

Is it possible to pose Darth Maul and Ahsoka to recreate the diorama of them in front of the throne?
Yes. I have done so.
I will be ordering this now
Awesome, very exciting!!
For about a second I thought he was wearing a tuxedo
I ended up pairing the cloak from Mandarin and pairing here with Maul. It POPS!
The Mandalorian sarcophagus box to me is such a great addition to this Darth Maul figure I can't wait to get this soon!
Agreed, it takes the packaging to the next level! We hope this Darth Maul makes for a fine addition to your collection!
The other saber hilt is Assaj Ventress.
That's awesome. Thanks for sharing. I'd LOVE to hear that story.

There’s actually a video on my channel demonstrating how to fix broken pegs.
Nice Tag Heuer Terry...
👌😎
Is his robe pleather? Or a sstin cloth?

Hey I have a question, so my magazine for one of the guns from my John wick hot toys figure is stuck inside the gun. How do I get it out?
