- Today on the BBQ We show how to cooked up some amazing and delicious pulled pork from the pork butt on the big green egg.
We barbecued this pork butt with oak log chunks as well as lump charcoal. Oak imparts a great flavor on the meat while you're cooking it.
I tried to keep the big green egg at around 275 degrees throughout the cook.
After about 5 hours or until the exterior of the pork butt has achieved a nice bark, you can then wrap the butt in foil to help speed up the cook and also ensure the pork butt does not lose any additional liquid.
BBQ/Cook explained:
Oak chunks with lump charcoal
BBQ set to 275
On BBQ until the color on the pulled pork is right
At internal temperature of 200 degrees start checking for tenderness with a temperature probe
Let the pork butt rest for at least 60 minutes

Yeah, it came out tasting very good!! Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting.
@@SmokedReb How long did it take to get to 203'? For the hour it was wrapped, was it still in the smoker?
BTW, UA-cam DID notify me that you had a new video. . . so there IS that.!
@@jeffreysalomone6354 I may have misspoke in the video. I wrapped the pork butt when the internal temperature was around 165 degrees and it was wrapped for about 3-4 hours and on the BBQ. I took it off of the BBQ and then let it rest for an hour on my kitchen counter wrapped in foil and a towel.
I am loving to hear that youtube actually supports this channel!
Hurrah!
