Who is still listening in 2021? Peter Doherty is pure gold!! From the Libertines, to Babyshambles, to Puta Madras, and All of his solo work!! Pure Gold!!! Keep Rockin!!
I'm a stranger. A stranger in my own skin. Often wonder why I ever let me in. I can't afford the cost upon my soul. The breeze blows. I'm a stranger. Stranger in my own skin. The skin's cracked and thin. Have what you'd call, a criminally insane sensation. Though it's nothing at all, if you'd come and make me whole again. When your back's against the wall; come out fighting. Come and stand tall. Or fall.
i dont think the drugs are a key necessity to his work though like i'm sure his work would be still great without a drug influence of course different, but at the end of the day its his health and safety i care about even if he quit drugs and never wrote another good song i would be happy that he was healthy
Or at least just get him on a healthy diet with some exercise and maybe find a source of h that isn't cut with a bunch of nasty chemicals. A big part of the health concerns of H is the amount of indirect damage it does by disguising the pain of being unhealthy and not eating right. I'm fairly certain he could live quite a long, full and healthy(healthier than a vast majority of americans) life. It would keep him pretty productive too I imagine. But he'd have to quit the crack, for heart reasons.

This song alone is worth buying that special edition of Sequel to the Prequel, the other songs are all great too but this one is something special

please tell me that "wife beater's of distinction" is a band.
I don't think so at all, they are a necessity for him to function properly, he's said multiple times that drugs keep him from writing.
Please Please

Lyrics by Wolfeman.
Think nothing could describe Pete Better- hes a shadow of himself a living ghost of his soul- this is his pride this is his shame
if he doesn't have the will to stay clean, no rehab will help him.
I love Morissey, but I love Pete more.
he is the new morrissey
