- 1989 4 cylinder Mustang (not an SVO) with a 2.3L SVO motor with pistons and rods making some solid passes and then lining up with a low 10 second Dodge Challenger Hellcat.

Here in 2023. Just purchased a 1986 2.3L SVO. It's crazy how the price has jumped over the years for these cars. The condition of the one I purchased is excellent.
Without a doubt I'm the only one in my city of 100,000 to own one. Talk about rare.
The engine internals, injectors, upgraded EFI and turbo and other things are upgraded and together pushing at the wheels 350 HP+.

Hi I'm looking now at a Svo. Are they really that fast.
They have 80s technology, which was good back then. Today they cannot compete but are fun to drive.
@@thomasthompson4999 a stock SVO 2.3L is mediocre fast, at least for a turbocharged 4 cylinder. I've owned several in the past 20 years.
Look on UA-cam and you'll see 2.3L SVO Mustangs pushing 1500 horses. Personally I prefer smaller engines compared to V8s that are just as powerful as a 4 cylinder Stang with horsepower that doesn't cost a fortune to make fast.
PLUS, most Stang owners do not own a 4 cylinder SVO. It's VERY rare. I prefer rare to common.
Lmfaooo gave the hellcat a head start and still won. Granted the hellcat is probably somewhat daily drivable but fricken hilarious what a good drag setup can do to a foxbody. Amazing platform. Arguably the best platform for a mechanic looking to make something unique.

I have a 1990 4 cylinder foxbody love the car and it's very clean for it's age and only paid 3600 dollars got a steal on the car
I had a stock 89 it had just as much torque as the 5.0s I loved that car.

No, no you didn't. The 1986 was the last year the Mustang SVO was produced. And even if it was a typo, the 1985 1⁄2 made the most TQ at 248 lbft and it was still less than the 5.0.
Search 'John Blair SVO'. Not the first time this has been done. I'll never forget that car.
