Arath Gomez , most track and athletes are beautiful because have the best bodies in the world. but they don’t have her personality. Her major was communication so she speaks better than most.
All of you saying the announcers were being “dramatic” are wrong. It’s not because she clipped the hurdle that they were freaking out, it was because of the way she landed. That could have been a very scary knee injury.
No disrespect to her but those announcers were being dramatic... 😂 I’m sure she’s clipped hurdles in the past.. She finished with great stride and just misjudged the hurdle. Those 2 coming off the 2nd turn are the toughest
Joken Word yea and I'm speaking off of hurdling experience....we can receive injuries from coming off of hurdles wrong & not know it or it may not hurt as much until we finish running because of adrenaline....the hyperextension she had was crazy it can actually cause serious danger but in her case she was fine...they weren't "overreacting" that's a promise.
Tae J I wouldn’t say that if I didn’t do hurdles neither only 400m I didn’t like going over high hurdles at full speed (bad rhythm lol)... That’s why I’m saying the fact that the race was over and they’re still talking about a hyperextended knee is crazy..
Joken Word I mean it's commentary....they are just genuine fans of the athlete I'm pretty sure Flo was even worried himself even after the race. Hyperextension is one of many injuries that could've taken place but she's good so it's good. They were just in disbelief or shock
Amazing! She was far from perfect and still blew out the rest of the NCAA! She is going to be extemely wealthy and rich one day based on her talent & beauty for endorsements. God speed.
Yeah that was very close to hyperextending. You can still run after doing that so the fact that she finished the race didn't necessarily mean she was okay. I'm glad she is though.
travz21 I mean I don’t know I’m just speaking based on what I’ve seen. I’ve never actually had that happen but I remember when Nick Chubb had that happen
Looks like she’s trying to left-lead too much, which is not her natural lead leg. I always ran faster leading with my natural leg and adjusting strides vs trying to switch lead legs. Keep it simple and stick with one leg, unless you are very good at leading with both legs.
I'm sure she's enjoying her college experience but incidents like this would have me (if I was in her situation) SERIOUSLY thinking about turning pro. She's at pro level right now as an 18 yr. old with a long track career and potentially millions of dollars in prize money and endorsements at stake. Why risk injury running for free for an institution that reaps all the benefits for your labor????? Hope she's injury free because she dodged a bullet here SMDH.
Alan Suh contrary to your belief of someone you don't know she has said that many times...she wanted to live her life not be a pro athlete straight out of hs believe it or not a lot of talented athletes take that same route & no running track doesn't pay your bills forever which is why most athletes get involved with other endeavors
Alan Suh to you! Athletes are people and juggle dealing with life outside of sports as well. Mentally she didn't want the hassle of dealing with the life of a pro athlete that many athletes have talked about. Money isn't everything at the end of the day there was more important factors that go into that decision. It's hard to speak about a situation with no knowledge of it.
sonojah maybe she wants a college education and wants to experience it not everyone just wants money the exoerience of college sports in general is good
Alan Suh running doesn't pay anyone's bills forever....you have to retire you don't get a retirement fund or anything like that....I know what I'm talking about sir thank you very much. If she pursued a coaching career after athletics that wouldn't be tied to her career but her name, I'm sure she could get an assistant coaching job now so that irrelevant. My response was towards the fact Not EVERYBODY wants to go professional and some want to experience a normally close life of a 20 year old.
I dont like how these guys be talking about if Sydney is okay or not but there was an athlete that wasn’t able to walk on her own after race. Not hating on Sydney or anything just saying everyone should be treated equally even if you’re good or not so good.
Scroll down for a rant on my parents... So I'm 15 years old and my brothers are 10, 11, and 13. I have to share a room with the ones that are 11 and 13 years old. The 10-year old has a larger bedroom than ours (with 3 people!). Why does he get his own room and I'm the oldest? Uhh?
are you jealous you little swine. Become a entrepreneur and show them you are great or stfu. He obviously was born later so they put him in a room by himself. Why move one of yall to that room when he's the youngest.
You wonder why women's sports aren't taken seriously? Those hurdles look like the size of a high school girls 100h. These are professional grade athletes, come on.
She is exactly what this sport needs. Athletic, smart and beautiful. The sky is the limit for her.
Is4real Yeah because if you aren’t beautiful then you really can be that great right?
Arath Gomez , most track and athletes are beautiful because have the best bodies in the world. but they don’t have her personality. Her major was communication so she speaks better than most.
@@Iskazi3285 I don't think that equates to her having better speech 💀
How smart, though? She's at UK, not Harvard...
I agree. Ignore the rest of the whiners who replied to your opinion/comment.
55.5 after "almost disaster". Another level.
I could maybe run that in an open 400m without stumbling. She's crazy.
All of you saying the announcers were being “dramatic” are wrong. It’s not because she clipped the hurdle that they were freaking out, it was because of the way she landed. That could have been a very scary knee injury.
yes, thank you. I was waiting for someone to point that out
Absolutely!!!
That was scary I screamed that could have put her out if she had a hyper extended knee.
Yes, she landed awkwardly. Even the hip could be injured with something like that.
You know you're special when Flotrack uses you as clickbait. hahahaha
Hope all is well in Sydney town, she is just too good!
Here after she placed 1st in the wc with 50. Something. She has improved so much her form her speed. Amazing
No disrespect to her but those announcers were being dramatic... 😂 I’m sure she’s clipped hurdles in the past.. She finished with great stride and just misjudged the hurdle. Those 2 coming off the 2nd turn are the toughest
Joken Word umm they weren't though she really could've messed her knee up on her landing...
Tae J Yeah if she didn’t run off already... I could completely see that..

Stumble and still blow out the competition....
she is just a different monster yet the same beast
The amazing part was that she was still so far ahead that the stumble didn't even matter
Amazing! She was far from perfect and still blew out the rest of the NCAA! She is going to be extemely wealthy and rich one day based on her talent & beauty for endorsements. God speed.
it’s always so scary when you hit the hurdle with your lead leg 😧
55.50 and wearing number 5. Biblically the number 5 is the number of Grace. 💕
Testament to flexibility and injury prevention, body has to be resilient.
If she had gone hard it wouldn't happen she toke it easy and that change up her stride length she is great good luck
Fine and fast 😂
well she made it look easy
Era una niña muy precoz
Looked like a bit of a hyperextension on that right knee.😮
Jacob Wolf probably not. She probably would’ve fallen on the last hurdle.
She has no competition 😂
i met her and that was the greatest moment of my life
Jared Hayes same
Wow! Even I screamed while watching, thinking she was going to fall and ruin her race.
Lmao. Are you trolling, Flo? Get outa here. She looks perfectly fine if you ask me. I've done this a plenty of times back in the day.
Leoooooo gangggggg🤪
Talent saved her
Looks like she’s trying to left-lead too much, which is not her natural lead leg. I always ran faster leading with my natural leg and adjusting strides vs trying to switch lead legs. Keep it simple and stick with one leg, unless you are very good at leading with both legs.
Yikes!
All hurdlers hit hurdles from time to time. Her clip of the hurdle was mild compared to others I've seen.
You put 400h

sonojah because running doesn't pay bills forever & she wants to live the life of a normal college kid

Nice stamina ! It takes a lot for people to do hurdles. But the announcers are like “OH OH MY GOD” like shut up it’s not that serious broski
I think it was just a bad race for her all together
She clipped it. Not full on collapsing over it😂 Too dramatic.
I dont like how these guys be talking about if Sydney is okay or not but there was an athlete that wasn’t able to walk on her own after race. Not hating on Sydney or anything just saying everyone should be treated equally even if you’re good or not so good.
your logic is lacking. If trump were hurt and you were hurt, who would media go to first?ok then
I suspect she's injured, 😞
adegbenro agoro Nah, you don’t get injured from things like this. It probably stung when it happened but I’m sure she’s fined
Arath Gomez yeah I can confirm it. She was fined 200 bucks for fucking that hurdle up.
