      Arath Gomez , most track and athletes are beautiful because have the best bodies in the world. but they don’t have her personality. Her major was communication so she speaks better than most.

    All of you saying the announcers were being “dramatic” are wrong. It’s not because she clipped the hurdle that they were freaking out, it was because of the way she landed. That could have been a very scary knee injury.

    No disrespect to her but those announcers were being dramatic... 😂 I’m sure she’s clipped hurdles in the past.. She finished with great stride and just misjudged the hurdle. Those 2 coming off the 2nd turn are the toughest

    • @Taedjaire

      Joken Word umm they weren't though she really could've messed her knee up on her landing...

      Tae J Yeah if she didn’t run off already... I could completely see that..

    • @Taedjaire
      @Taedjaire 6 років тому +3

      Joken Word yea and I'm speaking off of hurdling experience....we can receive injuries from coming off of hurdles wrong & not know it or it may not hurt as much until we finish running because of adrenaline....the hyperextension she had was crazy it can actually cause serious danger but in her case she was fine...they weren't "overreacting" that's a promise.

    • @Jokenword
      @Jokenword 6 років тому +1

      Tae J I wouldn’t say that if I didn’t do hurdles neither only 400m I didn’t like going over high hurdles at full speed (bad rhythm lol)... That’s why I’m saying the fact that the race was over and they’re still talking about a hyperextended knee is crazy..

    • @Taedjaire
      @Taedjaire 6 років тому

      Joken Word I mean it's commentary....they are just genuine fans of the athlete I'm pretty sure Flo was even worried himself even after the race. Hyperextension is one of many injuries that could've taken place but she's good so it's good. They were just in disbelief or shock

    Looks like she’s trying to left-lead too much, which is not her natural lead leg. I always ran faster leading with my natural leg and adjusting strides vs trying to switch lead legs. Keep it simple and stick with one leg, unless you are very good at leading with both legs.

    I'm sure she's enjoying her college experience but incidents like this would have me (if I was in her situation) SERIOUSLY thinking about turning pro. She's at pro level right now as an 18 yr. old with a long track career and potentially millions of dollars in prize money and endorsements at stake. Why risk injury running for free for an institution that reaps all the benefits for your labor????? Hope she's injury free because she dodged a bullet here SMDH.

    • @Taedjaire
      @Taedjaire 6 років тому +4

      sonojah because running doesn't pay bills forever & she wants to live the life of a normal college kid

    • @Taedjaire
      @Taedjaire 6 років тому +1

      Alan Suh contrary to your belief of someone you don't know she has said that many times...she wanted to live her life not be a pro athlete straight out of hs believe it or not a lot of talented athletes take that same route & no running track doesn't pay your bills forever which is why most athletes get involved with other endeavors

    • @Taedjaire
      @Taedjaire 6 років тому +1

      Alan Suh to you! Athletes are people and juggle dealing with life outside of sports as well. Mentally she didn't want the hassle of dealing with the life of a pro athlete that many athletes have talked about. Money isn't everything at the end of the day there was more important factors that go into that decision. It's hard to speak about a situation with no knowledge of it.

    • @26reasonz31
      @26reasonz31 6 років тому +1

      sonojah maybe she wants a college education and wants to experience it not everyone just wants money the exoerience of college sports in general is good

    • @Taedjaire
      @Taedjaire 6 років тому

      Alan Suh running doesn't pay anyone's bills forever....you have to retire you don't get a retirement fund or anything like that....I know what I'm talking about sir thank you very much. If she pursued a coaching career after athletics that wouldn't be tied to her career but her name, I'm sure she could get an assistant coaching job now so that irrelevant. My response was towards the fact Not EVERYBODY wants to go professional and some want to experience a normally close life of a 20 year old.
