It’s interesting to hear her talk about Dalilah being so dominant at the 2016 trials and then 2 years later pushing Dalilah to 2 world records. And now 5 years later she beat Dalilah at trials and set a new WR herself.
Genuine Superstar. Her last leg in the 4x4 just blew any chance Jamaica had out of the stadium. A lot of the American mens team should take a good look at her and how to conduct themselves. This woman could be anything if she stays injury free, hope she does so we can see her talent for the next decade. I will repeat it, " Genuine Superstar ".🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
She will likely switch to the 400m flat because she is still young so needs at least a couple of years to get up to the highest levels. After that she is a dream come true for broadcasters. Talented, experienced intelligent, articulate and beautiful.
Looks and beauty are essentially the same thing so for you to mention both is redundant. Also, humble is an adjective and does not belong on a list with four nouns. The proper way to phrase your first sentence would have been as follows: “Beauty, brains, talent, and humility!”
Well you can get your kid in something that rewards them, drives them and brings positivity and joy to themselves and others. It doesn't just have to be sports🙏🏾
For everyone mentioning her age, she was born August 7, 1999 making her 21 as of this upload date. However, this documentary was originally posted in May of 2017, making her 17 at the absolute oldest at the time. So yes, she was still in high school and this was her everyday life at the time of filming. “But right now, she’s very much still a teenager-most of the time.” Even the caption was copy/pasted of the description from when this came out in 2017.
This is one of the great things about the olympics, you get to see how these athletes grew up and became interested in sports. Thousands of kid are in sports but few make it to the olympics. As long as they have fun.
What a lovely young woman with a wonderful family who seems to have been in a great high school. Amazing what happens when we are loved and supported from the beginning of our lives. Good luck this time around Sydney!
From the way she ran as a 16 yr old girl at the previous championships, you cannot say you didn’t see her emerging as a WR holder one day and a champion too. She’s phenomenal and very talented. I love her because she’s so humble and nonchalant, she’s so poise and she’s unproblematic too.
I love how these interviews personalize and show you a different side of these athletes. We see them for the few seconds or minutes they perform on the track but in these interviews you hear their fears, dreams, goals, etc. Sydney is exceptional and I love how the fierce competition between her and Dalilah Muhammad brings out the best in each of them. They will be putting on a great show in Tokyo. Best of luck!!
