R.I.P. Phil, thanks for all of the great music and keeping the Dead’s legacy alive.
What a long strange trip
RIP Phil, thanks for the good vibes and trippy tunes.
Hail the Traveller! Rest in Power. Thanks for the music.
Rest in peace, Phil. Thanks for all the music and all the memories.
Thank you, Phil, for such a long and strange trip! You brought so much joy to so many and we love you. RIP.
I'm so saddened ..RIP Phil
Tears rollin' down my face right now. I know you will always be with us, Phil, but I miss you brother. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I just heard Phil went home… Godspeed sir! and thank you!
😢
😢 Don't know what's beyond this world, but if there is someplace I like to think they're about to have an epic jam ❤⚡️💙
I came here too when I heard...
Love to guys
Rip Phil
Rippin' some N2O and grooving hard...after reliving the old days and grieving hard. RIP dear Phil.
Lesh has moved on, thankfully he left us tons of gifts. Box of rain is now playing with new meaning.
I miss him already. The anchor of the dead for sure
This is probably my favorite band the van has gotten. That old man on the bass is killing it. I see a bright future for these guys. The lyrics are great too. Best of luck to these guys. RIP to the old man on the bass 😭
"old man on the bass"
I cant tell if this comment is trolling or not
that ain't any old man
@@sidthesloth12 definitely trolling. Sorry it took me a year to respond
@@Spacecowboy42 I knew the rest of the comment was a troll...but that one sentence was so subtly well trolled, j just could not tell
Rest In Power Phil and jam on with Jerry!
Wow! Awesome! The best bass player ever, who was the cornerstone of one of the best bands in rock history! Rest in peace Phil ,and may you and your talent live forever!
All ❤for Phil Lesh.
Watching Phil Lesh always makes me happy! 🎉
Big smiles watching Philbert lovingly scold the youngsters for their lyrical difficulties
God damn well I declare!!! Chills every time.
What a treat, to have this awesome moment in time for all of us and see Phil laying it down like a kid. Super special and fun for everyone who loves to dance.
Jam In The Van bringing in the big guns, I like it! Beautiful sound, they had an amazing run of shows a few weeks back
great to see a legend like Phil rockin' in the Van!
Groovy, dig it. Nice version of Uncle John's Band. Thanks for sharing.
was thinking about this song earlier today before my friend texted me that Phil died while my iphone screen wasnt working lol i thought he was joking but he wouldnt lie to me about that! RIP PHIL!
Phil's at Stanford's Frost Amphitheatre 6/4 - don't miss this!
Dude on the keys looks like a hippie Robert California from the office. Killer video!
Haha now I can't unsee that
Now I can't unsee that!
🤣
Why does Phil's bass always seem to command the thunders of heaven to boom down like a living Zeus?
Oh Yeah! Looking good Philbert! Love the sound of your Band there!!! Such a nice groove.
Crystal clear vocals - what a great version!
Awesome vocal harmonies all the way through,
Hey, that one guy took his forgetting lyrics lessons from Bobby! So epic to see Phil on this channel. Thanks so much.
Lol so true
After nearly 50 years, the lyrics to "Truckin" are still an elusive opponent for Bobby.
I love that the singer forgot the words right after the lyric "How does the song go?" Classic.
Good version of this hippie anthem pretty applicable today.
RIP
RIP Phil
I don't know if they're a real family or not, but making sweet music with people you love, ah, nothing better. Awesome tune!
The lead guitarist (the guy on Phil's left) is his son! Grahame Lesh!
Oh good!
Oh man, this is beautiful! ✌☮
Good to see James Spader playing the keys!
Really nice work y'all. Terrapin looks Marvelous, and The family sounds GR8. Grateful!
Hey there's Jason Crosby!
Sounds Great Lesh Philing.Old heads will get it.
Giving me chills. They are so damn tight in the pocket
damn have not heard this song sung so well since 1971... splendid harmonies for sure..!!
this is beautiful, Jam in the van, thank you....YOU ROCK!
Oh yeah... That's a keeper. And to think it was just a short 15 years ago when Phil's son Grahame was playing catch with our son Jake when Jake was teching John Molo in PLQ (09/2000 to12/2003)... Thanks to you folks at Jam in the Van take this from this old roadie... the road is long and hard but youngin's like you are keeping it alive,
Hey Larry-greetings from Terra- Linda (~);-}
@ about 2 mins..Goddamn...Phils legs shakin' it up..truly marvellous...
Wow! Beautiful performance!
This is really good!!!
This just kicks fuckin ass.I am a bassist who has opened for Stanley Clarke etc.and there is still no way I can achieve what Phil Lesh does. This is just high level stuff that demands respect from all.Love it and hope to hear it again in the hereafter even if I go to the meadows of Asphodel,as is likely..
Thanks Cody and Family... Remember to tell the people who love you, I want to be an Organ Donor..
Fantastic !!

If I buy a van, can I pay extra to have it come with these guys?!
This is fucking incredible
I know us Deadheads like to shy away from vocals but damn, these guys can sing!
Damn, Phil can still rip it!
God Bless the Grateful Dead

Phil is whiter than his shirt! Good vocals and lead guitar.
oie chaval padrazo tema
viva el rock y chamame
Cant wait for Wanee!
Ain't no time to hate
What’s the song for the beginning clip?
I much refer Phil's Blues for Allah era Dead approach to Bob's we're the new Beach Boys doing nostalgia. I enjoyed this while I find some other later Dead stuff frankly disappointing. For me the Dead had two peak era's; Pig Pen's 1968 to 1972 acid Blues era and Jerry's 1975 to 1979 evolved jazz rock when they still had energy and attack. With e few exceptions they were never the same after Jerry's stroke in 1979. Only Phil continued to improve. Check out the exceptional 'Eyes of the World' with Wynton Marsalis. One of the few later GREAT jams Phil's bass playing is literally the best bass ever. Only maybe Bootsie Collins excepting. Bob is a great rhythm player but Phil is the Dead's backbone and a great musician. Jerry's Dark Star and jamming dueling partner!
Is that Warren Ellis in the back!?
3:12 though 🤌
phil takes no prisoners
Kind!
Some people have been fighting the good fight for 50 years but there weren't any old Nazis at Charlottesville, just remember that.
God damn this is HEADY af!!!! #DeadHead
OMG thank you! This was nestled amongst all of the republican gloating you tube choices
sounds great! (very thankful Phil doesn't sing this solo :)..... vocals were so pretty here. great job :)...... one of the better Phil bands, if ya ask me
Mickey Rourke plays a mean keyboard.
Lmaoo
You sound much better than Dead & Co. Much better!
✌🏻🙂👍🏻 ❤️⚡️💙🌈✨
Head-e indeed

Dead live and well
Damn phil is usually a trash vocalist, what happened?! Lovin this, better than Dead and Co in my opinion
Like a fine wine...
Nah, he's always had a great voice. My favourite individual voice in the band but you can't beat Bob and Jerry combined.
