For years I've been trying to find out why (brace yourself) the term 'black' is used to describe protestants (it's ok for me to say it cause I am a dirty black yeeoo lol). I have some theories. 1. Protestants / puritans tended to wear black 2. We were considered to have black hearts 3. The Irish word for black and the Irish word for protestant are similar or the same 4. Black and tans 5. Did groups like the B Specials wear black? 6. Did the British police wear black? 7. Is it something to do with Dublin? Doesn't Dublin mean Black Pool or something? And didn't Dublin have the highest concentration of English people in it? Hence the archetecture. 8. Did the Papacy have some terms they used to describe non-Catholics? 9. Ah that was the other one. There's the Orange of course, but there's also the Black. 10. Was there an enormous amount of black smiths after the plantation that were protestant? Hence Black may have become a surname common amongst protestants? ..I think that's them all? Maybe you could investigate.
Really glad for another Irish movie. Feeling is almost like we had a brilliant conversation, really well and outspoken, and I am glad we had it. Enjoy. I am not interested in nor I will not comment your earned freedom and freedom videos, you obviously value it a lot.

It's pronounced "pay- pacy" not pap
Thank you for that clarification. I had no idea what he meant when he said “pap - pacy”
