I mean, when I got it, it was more because I was tired of apex and BR games, halo multiplayer isn’t my cup of tea and cod isn’t even my choice of water, Overwatch had what I liked about apex and halo combined, which is why I got it… also because it was free but that wasn’t my main reason
@@miragemain105so true I totally agree. I’m a BR/Multiplayer guy. I played Warzone 1 and enjoyed it whilst it lasted with its main map. Now with ‘Warzone 2’ it’s super dead. So I stuck with Overwatch and it’s the most amount of fun I’ve had since covid

Ive met a friendly doom and we had a melee off when ever we saw each other. It was stupid fun

I love when people just play a game to have fun like in that second match. Makes me want to go into QP or arcade and have my own fun doing dumb stuff while still technically attempting to win.
As a console player, one of the biggest problems with the xim is that not only do they get to use K&M controls and all the benefits that entails, but they get to keep the controller aim assist. It's such a massive advantage over those without.

as a console ranked player, ximmers ruin at least one game a night. it’s everywhere, extremely oppressive, and a crappy time for everyone else
edit: i play about 5-7 games a night. it’s that bad.
ximmers i get but people should be allowed to play on their preferred method of input. its dumb that people have to go out and buy an attachment just to play k+m on console just put the people with a k+m in lobbys with pc players or other console K+m users its such a simple thing but devs are too lazy to add it
@@Articus239I totally agree with you. Cod has allowed keyboard input for 5 years at least (I think) in warzone 1 it wasn’t too imbalanced but I think they should find a way to balance it out between the two inputs
@@Articus239I agree, there should be a separate pool or they get put into pc lobbies. With the potential of 120fps now it's not even as unbalanced as before if they get put into pc lobbies because someone willing to spend good money on a xim probably has a ps5 or Xbox x/s. Like masters up is hell right now with dps mercy duos, especially now with soldier getting buffed and how broken Ashe can be in console lobbies if played with a pocket.

My favorite two lines to spam in MH was when I'd roll Roadhog and use "Eat this" "Piece of cake".
As a note on the two chats there is a way to integrade both into one (where only you can see it so it doesnt break twitch guidelines)
Siege has been experimenting with things for better detecting mouse and keyboard on console for quite a while now ("mouse trap"). I don't use console so I don't know how good it is but at least they are addressing the issue and working on it.
I can confirm that as a console player, I do not care too much about Twitch, but I sure do follow my man Flats as well as Jay, KarQ etc.
Another thing, as a console gamer is that we also tend to see the majority of people sweating on console (surprisingly on QP)
As well as the fact that the skill gap is immensely smaller since a thing called "aim-assist" exists: wish they could allow kbm support on next-gen just for fun.
They should add an additional ‘cross play with PC’ tab or setting that also allows keyboard input on console and vice versa

Console's should allow Mouse and Keyboard support in games ONLY when those games have separate matchmaking for input methods. Keeps the different inputs in their separate pools while allowing people to use what they are more comfortable with
They should be an additional ‘cross play’ section for allowing to play with PC players and vice-versa. This way, people know what they’re signing up for. Although PC has a higher skill gap
Yes this is what needs to happen it's ridiculous people can't just play the game with the input they prefer and then people say just play on PC then when most PCs cost double the amount of a console
Thank you for explaining how mouse and keyboard is actually a major advantage over controller having aim assist. I hate when streamers complain about aim assist when they can aim with an entire hand instead of just one thumb.
Speaking of keeping controllers and keyboard separate, does anyone else remember when the devs mentioned balancing PC and Consoles separate? This was back during Overwatch 1 but they did 2 special change for consoles that nerfed Torb. If I'm remembering right they made the turret not lock onto you as fast and might have nerfed damage too.

Agree mouse and keyboard & controller should not mix. However, Xbox does support mouse & keyboard natively, if the game chooses to allow. Maybe OW should support on consoles, but queue device inputs separately

You can use MnK on console. I do all the time for games that allow it. It’s down to the devs to decide if it’s bannable or not and go after people who use it

I genuinely don't understand the whole "console shouldn't be allowed to use keyboard and mouse" when the game in question has forced crossplay.
Mouse aim is a literal advantage over controllers that no amount of aim assist can compensate for. Other Activision-Blizzard titles allow console use of K&M. Idk why OW doesn't allow it.
There is no forced crossplay. the only way to ever play cross platform is queing with a pc player on console, and then you play in a pc pool with only pc players
Personally I play overwatch on console against pc players and its very fun

Maybe Microsoft and Sony can update consoles to detect mouse and keyboard system for console games to communicate with so the games can detect that and automatically connect to PC pools only

I'd love to get the option to play k&m on a console that's actually supported by the game and doesn't give you the controller aim assist. I'm a console player through and through, mainly because i don't have a proper gaming pc. And i enjoy k&m

I almost considered ximming but only because I had no idea what it was 😭 I have a big family around 6 and we all kinda share 1 computer so that in itself is a nightmare so I considered maybe attempting mouse and keyboard but maybe trying to find a way to hook it up to my PlayStation so that I wouldn’t have my 2 other siblings nagging on me as I desperately try to play overwatch- it was only recently that I learned about what ximming was and how it worked and now I feel really stupid and ashamed 😭
As a console player I can confirm I am a casual player. Just here to laugh at myself when I do something stupid and die because of it
Multiple games have implemented ways to detect Cronus zens, including Fortnite and Warzone. IT should be possible for overwatch too.
I’m the only one between my friends that plays PC Overwatch so whenever we queue together they always complain that the lobby is just unfair and it kinda sucks

I mean i stopped watching overwatch on twitch becasue que times for top 500 players were like 30 min. Im sure its different for OW2 but after moving to youtube for most of my overwatch content i can just 2x andy it and watch you and emmong and j3 or whoever. Its just way more convient.

UA-cam is better for console because you can watch it on your phone or something next to you while gaming it’s almost like having a second monitor just not as serious

Idk why people have a problem with comp having console and PC crossplay i used to play ow1 with my friends and we even played ow2 for a while when aim assist was disabled and i was doing a little worse, i went into my settings and turned off aim assist and played console games when he was offline and got better

The only game mouse and keyboard and controller players can actually fight against each other decently well is ironically Fortnite, in the World Cup and FNCS there’s some controller players and these dudes are animals, granted most of them are on PC playing on controller but nonetheless it’s still very impressive
Outside of Fortnite, mouse and keyboard and controller should never mesh competitively, it’s a nightmare unless it’s a casual experience (like ow quick play when console players are with PC friends)
for the console conversation: why do people buy console over computers? its always a money issue. you made the game free obviously theres gonna be more downloads/plays on the console side.

Even though im one of the only few people in my friend group who cant play on pc yet, i can assure you im grateful i cant play comp with them. Yeah it sucks but comp is never going to be rewarding enough to the point where i can actively play against pc players while on controller. I use to think that people should just “put up with it” so we can play together but that is selfish and wouldn’t be good for the game. Sucks i have to spend $1500 on a pc just to play comp with friends but i think it’s better if a few players have to stick to quick play in order to play with friends than all console players going through hell. The aim assist is very strong in ow, but that is not enough to beat mechanically skilled pc players most of the time.
Mine was only 500 and I can run it. It's a budget build. Want the link? It's nothing impressive but it can run overwatch and have live streams pulled up at the same time

I feel like they just need to enhance the sensitivity for controller.
As someone who used to play OW on Xbox and has played other shooters on PC, that won’t help the issue. The problem is a lack of real control with a control stick, you physically can’t flick with a controller without having insane mechanics. You will reach a threshold where sensitivity won’t help purely because of the nature of the control stick.

Xbox series X is mouse and keyboard compatible. Definitely not cheating.
But console overwatch 2 doesn't support mnk, still have to use a xim. Which is still cheating. If you wanna use mnk go play on pc. Let us casuals play against other casuals

So with m&k on console it only works if you're grouped with other pc players.
Edit: Xims are basically cheating. You can program it say to have no recoil with weapons or for single shot weapons (mainly cod) to increase the shot speed so it acts like an auto rifle. You don't need it for m&k for ow2 on console. Just need to be in a group with pc players.
i think the only game you can play w a m&k on console without the zimm is fortnite, but otherwise you need it. Overwatch doesnt let you use it w/out
