Airman Jeremy Tedford deployed to tears of sadness from his family. But he returned to Rickenbacker Air National Guard base, Ohio, to tears of joy.

We thank our service men and women not only because of our duties to respect and love them but also from our heart. We love them it's doesn't matter whether they go and fuc- others it's the policy of the government.
My son is in the Army and one thing I learned is there is a lot of hard good byes! These people give up everything for this country! Thanks to everyone serving!

My mom had a son in the Army also. It was me lol she also had one I the navy. And while he was on an aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf. I was on land in Kuwait/Iraq. Talk about a worried mother
@@danielstevens3869 I can’t even imagine the stress she went through. Thanks for your Families service. I say your family because when one family member joins, the whole family joins. The amount of families that had to sit home worried to death while their children fought battles on foreign lands is over looked in this country! When you sign for your 17 year old son to leave for basic training a week after high school graduation that’s tough! Hardest thing I have ever done is watch him leave the recruiters office in that van.

God bless those in the military and God bless their families who serve and support their military family member. I don’t want to think where this country or world would be without them. My husband was deployed at age 56 to provide support for personnel going in and out of Afghanistan (he was in Kyrgyzstan). Everyone just thought it was horrible he was going overseas at his age. In a lot of ways it was easier on us than what I think it was for young families. (DUH). I had grown sons to help me. My husband was so proud to serve his country.

Several years after he came home he would write and sometimes call the friends he had made there. He had great respect for the Kyrgyzstan people. Makes me angry that congress refuses to make the job and home security bill for veterans go through. Last time republicans demanded 65 more billions to the military, the democrats responded with, let's make it 85 billions. Why not pass the bill and take those 20 billions and fund it. It's sickening to watch.

Watching his family say goodbye and his little girl crying like that adds even more meaning behind it when I say "thank you for your service". I can't imagine how hard it is, for our troops and their families. I have the utmost love and respect for our troops and our veterans ❤🇺🇸❤

Pish posh. I've had my fair share of goodbyes and welcome homes. While it is a somber moment for many. The Air Force guys don't go anywhere for very long. We did 12-15 month deployments. Air Force was usually 6-9 months

@Baky_T thanks. I was single for most of them. Still am single 20 years later. But I also have kids now. Glad I didn't have to worry about them when I was deployed.

The person, who appreciates your hard work and dedication, who respects you for your priorities and who accepts and understands your flaws because of it, because every dedication has it's effects.

It sucked when they get called in the middle of the night and you couldn’t say goodbye so when you get up your parent tells you they left my dad had to do that a couple of times he made it back home safely

Every time in the past 15 years, my son's and daughter are deployed, I shake in fear.
When they come home, I still hug them with tears.

After 30 years of teaching, I quickly realized the young lady who appears to be the infamous middle child is also the most emotional and involved in what is happening. Yes, many middle children can be a handful, but they also have amazing strengths. (And, yes. I am a middle child, was a handful from my birth and still am stronger than my two beautiful sisters.) Life is amazing!

Beautiful family! My dad was in the army, a colonel. He was often gone back in the 50s when we lived in Germany and Washington DC. I would wait in the dark for him to get home!

Thank u for ur service!! My dad served in the Army National Guard for 21 years! I was born and raised in Pennsylvania so I never moved from place to place…he was never deployed.
He passed away on July 11, 2020 at age 75…I had turned 44 that year on July 3. I watched him pass away…but his memory still lives on thru my family and I.
My served his country well! I will miss him every day…I miss his hugs…I miss him every day. Cherish these memories!! Make traditions that leave a legacy!! Ur girls will cherish every moment with u!!

My husband was on a Destroyer in Desert Storm. The deployments were 6 months and tough. I can not even imagine an 18 month deployment. Thank you for your service and sacrifice.

Daddy's girl, the middle child, sobs inconsolably while he says goodbye to his wife and three daughters. Then, after serving his unaccompanied tour of duty overseas in the USAF, he returns home. His smiling wife and daughters are all happy to see him. Daddy's girl is jumping up and down with excitement as she watches him descending the stairs of the aircraft. Once on the ground with Daddy walking toward them, his girl frantically bolts and runs to him. She leaps into his arms, wrapping her arms and legs around him, crying tears of joy now that her Daddy is back. Expressions of love can't get any sweeter than this. It just can't!
Blessings to their daddy!! May Our Lord bring him back safe.

They are all his kids. But the girl who cries when he leaves, and again when he is home, she has dad in her heart 💯%. That is the first man she ever loved or was loved by. She will have a high standard for her boyfriends/husband in the future.
