- There are a lot of adjustable templates you can buy, most of them made of aluminum, but they are not what we can call cheap, so I am gonna make my own using plywood.

You are the first person I have seen who makes his own guide bushes, that is something I have been wanting to do! Good stuff.
This is a great idea and just what I need. Thank you for the build.
BIG Thanks, I am about to make a new router table and have been thinking about how to make a template for the insert. You have come to the rescue. You have such ingenious ideas. I, like many of your viewers get great value out of your videos. Again thank you
I'm glad you like it, thank you!
Really cool project as always, I like the fact that you made your own guide bushing as well as the way you made the T slots on the table saw. Great job, thanks for sharing!
thanks as always friend, I am glad you like it!
Clever. Nice project for someone who has limited budget.
Thanks for your contributions!!
As usual, brilliance in its simplicity! Thanks for the very cool tip on making your own T track.
thanks!

I agree. A brilliant way of making the T slot without having to buy a T slot cutting bit which are quite expensive here in the UK. It was their cost which was putting me off making a jig but the way is now clear for me to proceed. Many thanks indeed.
Cool idea! I may build something like this for my cutting boards.
Good! this is something I saw long time ago with a different and overcomplicated system and always thought of re-thinking. Now you did :D perfect!!
Thanks Cactus!
Yet another brilliant vid clip, you make it look so easy!!!

so smart. Good shit
thank you so much!

May I ask why you selected the Kress over say a Bosch Colt 1 HP variable speed router? I know it's not a fair comparison as one is a Woodworker in router and the Kress is a highly engineered mill. The Kress with 2 sealed ball bearing as well as the stainless steel mount are very strong design elements that almost guarantee a longer life than a commercially available router, but 4 times more expensive.
hi Sean, both are good routers, here you can find more:

www.wisaplywood.com/global_resources/Documents/downloads/brochures/transport/WISA-Birch_ES_fs.pdf
como siempre sensacional
Gracias!
That's a real cool idea to make a routing template. I made mine based on Trend Varijig and I find it quite useful to cut accurate rectangles with the router.
What I like the most in your design is that there are no grooves or tracks on the top and you have a flat surface for the router to slide on. But if you want to use the Friction Clamps (used with Trend Varijig), is it possible to change the design slightly to incorporate the tracks on the bottom side?
yes, it would be possible with a few modifications, thank you!
Cool
Thank you!
золотые у тебя руки...
спасибо!
I've been trying to find the plastic half moon inserts you used in the jig. Are they called something specific? Great video!!

Does anyone know the North American English nomenclature for those plastic semi-circular connectors? How about a US source?
half moon bolt
Hallo,
habe Mai den Plan käuflich erworben und bis heute noch kein Plan erhalten.
Отлично , как всегда!
спасибо!
Оригинально!
спасибо!
A good idea and the right device. Not very convenient to use screws to fix the template. It is better to take the furniture eccentric screed (minifiks)
Mark. Ukraine.
I had also thought of using minifiks! the two systems are valid. Thanks as always
Great teaching vid - but please tone the music way back, way too loud & distracting.
nice
ok tank
for the motor can i use a power drill
with this base?
you can use a power drill to make holes , but not as router not has enough speed
and if you have the router bits can you use it?
a drill does not have enough speed, a router rotates at about 30.000 rpm, and a drill only about 4.000
OK thanks
que madera usaste
??

Vhare good Im live in Iraq
Thanks Zain!
Excellent Video such pity about that irritating "Musak", however I muted it and enjoyed the instructions
thank you!
I'm used to larger, corded routers ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQ5_mgwq6PcudJvAH25t-I4D-3cTPz4z so this was a different experience for me. Basically, this is an incredibly sweet machine, fits well in the hand, etc. It has slightly less power than I'm used to, but that's understandable. Maneuvering freehand takes some practice. These days, it's especially nice to be able to avoid power cords. This is above the level of a hobbyist but below a pro level.
5+.

спасибо!
This guy is the Macgyver of wood working, I bet his car is wooden
I really enjoy your videos because of your talent and how creative you are. I was a bit disappointing to see that you do not wear any eye or hearing protection. Maybe next time you will?
you're right, I usually use them, but sometimes I forget!
dude you're amazing but use security tools. you"ll get hurt
What do you mean by "security tools"? Riving knife, guards?
to set a good example, I would suggest using proper personal safety equipment and practices. eye glasses, keeping hands free of blades, keep long sleeves out of the way, don't wear bracelets (especially loose ones). etc. A router bit would have saved a lot of effort
Why do so many experienced wood workers wear gloves next to power saw blades? The glove will do nothing but inhibit your dexterity and situational awareness. A sawtooth can pull your whole hand into that blade if it catches part of your glove.
Nice build but you should realize a considerable portion of your viewers would sooner hear silence than your (or anyone else's) choice of music.
