It's not all profit. Many months my father and I made basically no money. There are so many hidden costs. You Realize for ever dollar you pay your employees, you pay equal that in workers comp. And insurance. So a 20 dollar an hour employees actually cost 40$ plus an hour. Not to mention industry certification, OSHA inspections even cost money. Everyone in government had their hand out. You really should think a little deeper into a subject before you speak about something you know very little about.
Actually many are making less than before. Due to hours being drastically cut back. Many would rather get paid less for more hours. If your not a full-time employee. Any benefits that require full time hrs are now eliminated. Here several fast food places are incorporating self cashier kiosks. The bare minimum employees are staffed.

That guy is damn liar....that pay increase is not going to make a dent in profits....let alone not being "able to stay in business" ..... he said he can't pay them overtime so he cut their hours to 35 and below....overtime doesn't kick in until after 8 hours....Bet you his hours aren't affected one bit
You obviously have never operated a business. It's costing these restaurants more to operated than they are bringing in. Even you can understand a business won't stay around when costs of business exceed the net income.

Taco Bell only had 3 people working; a cook, drive thru attendant, 1 cashier/misc employee. Years ago it was 5-6 working. They pay raised themselves out of work.
