Dude's so humble. Parkway are HUGE but he's just so down to earth and that's awesome. He was the same when I met him 12 years ago, threw a 50 in their tip jar and he shook my hand and we talked for a bit.

I’ve not been the biggest can’t of some of their last two albums, admittedly, but I can’t help but be so happy and proud of these guys. Metalcore legends in the scene and not they are branching out and becoming iconic in other ways, so cool. Winston has always been one of my absolute favorite metalcore vocalist. His lyrics and the sheer power and emotion that you can feel are unmatchable.

I don't find their music nowadays to be particularly good, but Winston has done some of the craziest, best vocals on so many awesome songs. Parkway Drive's best music is so good it's absolutely timeless.

This was so damn sick! But I wished you guys talked about their promotion with NRL and playing at the finals. I feel that is a huge recognition for the genre and it would have been awesome to hear Winston's perspective of this

If someone told me in grade 12, 2006 that the jocks would have Parkway playing at their NRL grand final in 2022 I would have never believed it 😅 amazing

Loved this interview fellas but it was missing one massive question. When is Australia getting a tour?? We had them for good things in 2019 and then day and knight gig for New Years but when is the rest of Australia getting their a a headlining tour with some crazy supports like we are seeing in US and Europe

They only use fire in their shows because Winston gets a little chilly.
just one point regarding clean singing within Parkway Drive around the 13:30 mark, this album isnt the first time! Go back and listen to Flesh, Bone, and Weakness from their 2004 EP! I got to see them on east coast aus. early 2005 BEFORE Killing With A Smile and it WAS Winston doing that live at the time.. it was a late song in their early sets, so he wanted to scream but was obviously having trouble.
On the recording it was the current bass player though, right?
@@nathandjohnny I think this was even before Pie, they had yet to tour Europe at all. I believe it was THAT bass player on the recordings, however. at the show I went to, I can confirm it was Winston doing that excited, high-range yell he does, right on that vocal edge before one of his styles of screams.
Awesome, I missed seeing people actually sit down and chat with artists and not have video calls as the only option. 🍻

Parkway is still my favourite band of all time for nostalgia sake of dont close your eyes, killing with a smile, and horizons, being based only an hour away and the lads are still cool as shit but fuck me I just can not get into the past 4 albums save a token banger here and there. It's their band and they can do what they want and I accept bands grow older and change their style but for fuuuuck. Sucks.
I had high hopes and I gave it a chance even knowing it would be different but the new album sucks. Definitely their worst.
I don't like the Metallica, soulfly, and rammstein rip off's they do... not.cool
