thanks, pellet stove computer went down and repair bill would have been $500 just in parts. Thanks to your video i got it running off the canakit for $40. HUGE savings. thank you so very much. ps, super easy to program and connecting wires couldn't be easier.
The augur is genius. I converted a double barrel stove to a boiler by wrapping 300' of 1/2" copper tubing around the upper barrel. I'm converting it to a pellet burner and the fishing pole holder is a perfect solution. I'm controlling sprinkler valves and moisture sensors for my garden, using an Avantech 32-channel I/O card which should handle the stove controls. Have you thought about automatically removing ashes so you can use a large capacity hopper? Hope you post your refinements.
hey I love your idea it's almost exactly what I was thinking of building but for my controller I'm using a temperature controller with built-in relay I got it for a couple bucks from China W1209 LED Digital Thermostat Temperature Control Thermometer Thermo Controller Switch Module DC 12V Waterproof NTC Sensor .basically you set the temperature like 250 degrees and then it's allowed to go + - 10 degrees and when it goes below up by 10 degrees turns on your feeder I'm going to use it for a smoker BBQ .can you share a link for your auger motor and gearbox. I was thinking about going one step further and using a timer relay for the auger.
CanaKit has a USB tethered 4 port relay controller: "4-Port USB Relay Controller with 6-Channel Temperature/Analog/Digital I/O Interface (Data Acquisition Module)" Look up CanaKit UK1104 - $60 Myself, I want a standalone deal with 4-6 relays and 6 I/O like that. Probably go Netduino though. The new ones are out.
I noticed you have 2 jumper wires red and black ,what is the reason for doing that? I have a 110 V auger motor that i will be running off of this cycle timer , fan will be run separately and continues. Before hooking it up i thought i would ask so i don't burn it out.
I scour the internet for hours looking for off the shelf stuff. Sometimes I get lucky. The PIC chip in this one can be modified too. They sell a USB chip programmer also.
thank's allot i will fix my control bord by replacing the original and connect the outlets to a relay where i connect the 120 volt to the system but thank you verymuch
+Jtinnon The motor itself is blank, no specs or labeling. Here is the gearbox I used, but Multi does not stock it: www.multiproducts.com/dc-gear-motors/model-9000 Another big $$$ maker of DC gearmotors in this form factor: www.merkle-korff.com/products/brushlessgearmotors.asp

Windshield wiper motors are almost free at your local junk yard.

Where can a person buy that motor? Obviously a Multi Products 9000 DC gear motor is what I want, but I can't find a dealer.
Excellent, great job thanks!
If I showed it, wouldn't be a secret project then eh?
I'll do a video of the big flame today.
