Me and my wife came to that session just to watch her and felt her pain😢 hope she bounces back soon
True. Openers were always supposed to be the best you could get under any circumstances, so you at least get on the board and prevent this. I think the coaches made poor choices.
@@bensacc its allowed if the current weight has not been attempted by anyone, as well as the new, lower weight. The same happened with Hampton Morris on his last c&j attempt. The attempt before her was 77 I think. Those were the right conditions to bump down

You tried so hard, and did so well. I'm so proud of you. I love watching Imperio and Cambei. I almost feel like I'm watching my own kids when they step up to the bar.
I'm sure she'll make comeback in Thailand. She's obviously strong enough. But I can't help but think all the recent online interest in the Italian team has led to a lack of focus.
You’re somewhat right but Lu Xiaojun grew in popularity near the 2012 Olympics and is still popular but he was still focused on his craft which was proved when he won in Tokyo(even with his recent popping) I think it’s a weak excuse about her or the Italians not having focus when Pizzolato and Massida are still performing well(Nasar is too strong for Antonino but Nino is still a threat and Massida is performing very very well although he’s not winning excessively)
If she and her coaches can live with bombing at Europeans because her emphasis is 100% on qualifying for Paris that’s their business. Early in the quad before he had qualified Massida missed opening snatch went up 3 kg missed again went up 2 kg and succeeded. Not every athlete or coach can operate so precariously but that’s for them to decide.
I think these are the times where you can prove how good of a weightlifter you are, or any other sports really. You keep crying over it or you overcome it and smash the next time you step on stage
