You really only need to use it if the material used to build the product isn't designed correctly! The JXR kits are made of softer metals to flex and nothing that will rust bind!
Hey thank you for the video, question, i am currently waiting on my 2023 wrx to be delivered, if I don’t say anything will they drill holes in my bumper?
I respect you wanting to have it, that’s your call. But naw, I can’t do these, I don’t think it’s a good look at all, I can’t get around it looking like it sticks off the side and isn’t centered. Call it OCD maybe but I gladly have mine centered with its frame and it all looks super flush haha cheers
Visually I prefer the centerline of the car to be uninterrupted and as the car’s designers intended- the side plate to me is less intrusive, though I would love it if we could get rid of them in our state

Located in Colorado so front plate is mandatory so happy you posted this cause did not wanna drill holes in the front. Thanks for the content

Sold! My dealership was nice enough to not drill the holes.
I got mine from eBay and they suggested anti-seize compound when installing the bolt in the tow hook mount.

Do you take off the plate and put the cover back on when washing the car? Or does it not matter?

Maybe next time use the tools that come with the kit, just to showcase kits full potential.
