- I've wanted to edit King's Maker for at least two years now, but never did, because I'm stuck in paradox where I badly want to edit things I love the most to express my feelings, but at the same time I'm afraid I can't make them justice due to me thinking I suck at editing. But this time I took YRS contest as some sort of motivaton to stop dreaming about editing them and finally do it. Plus this part of the song fits them so well (something I tried to show with quotes), I couldn't stop thinking about it.
Can't say that I'm satisfied with the result. I wish it was prettier, more detailed and just overall better, but I have no patience or creativity for that. And I've already spent too much time on this, I really can't edit and fix it anymore. But still this project is the only good thing summer of 2020 gave me, working on it was my way of running away from thoughts and problems I'm now going to face.
In the end, I only hope that maybe someone will want to read this manhwa after watching this, beacuse it doesn't get the attention it deserves. If you're into great well-written stories with exceptionally gorgeous art, you'll love it. And let's be honest, who isn't a sucker for a good old 'charming and open + reserved and distant' dynamic? I sure am. (But if you do decide to read it, please be aware that it deals with heavy sensitive topics.)
Okay, I don't know why I'm suddenly so uncharacteristically talkative here, I'll now disappear for an indefinite amount of time again.

Honestly I was never going to read kings maker because I wasn’t exactly interested in it... but this amv completely changed my perception. It’s absolutely beautiful. I’m definitely going to read it now :) thank u creating something so beautiful

I know this feeling of not being satisfied with your own work all too well but let me tell you that this is single handedly the prettiest edit I have ever seen. The aesthetics, the little details and gold ornaments and borders, the ANIMATIONS - everything in this looks absolutely pleasing and beautiful. I knew this was going to be something beautiful after only seeing the thumbnail, but I wasn't expecting THIS.
There are no words for how stunning this is. I have a soft spot for videos like these; where the characters, objects, and backgrounds are all animated and used to bring the story to life. You not only brought it to life through giving movement, but also by the feelings you created by your song choice and scene selection. There's nothing out of place. The attention to detail you put into the expressions is incredible. It looks so natural and beautiful. The fonts, quotes, and gold trims you added are just... woah. I'm running out of words to express how much I love this.
It can be hard to see the beauty in something you've spent so much time on. Things may have turned out differently than how you had envisioned it but that's okay. In the end, you created a piece of art; one that will surely place high in this contest. I'm rooting for you! ♡

ohh believe me, it took me a LOT of time to make this, probably the longest i've ever worked on something (mostly bc of the amount of animatons i wanted to have here). i'm super glad you liked it! i think i'll learn to love it too after some time, i would probably admire the dedication i had to make such a thing ahaha
and if it wasn't for you, my unattentive ass would never notice that the deadline for contest was extended and who knows when i'd have enough motivation to finish this
