It can but not necessarily, i dont have my pump at full blast meaning not all of my valves are fully open, all it is its like added a silencer to a gun or adding a small exhaust to a vehicle to reduce the noise if you arent looking to use it at its max potential then it shouldnt affect its power or flow
@@jay_vidzz2801 I get what you’re saying but if you think about it from the thermodynamics of the pump if you’re restricting airflow on the intake and on the manifold then you’re restricting the flow in return it’ll cause the pump to build up unnecessary heat and will prematurely burn the pump out.
True but also not allowing the pump valves to be fully open would be the same effect dont you think? This pump is pretty strong that im sure not everyone has it fully open, its like the intake being restricted but not the exhaust vise versa the exhaust being restricted but not the intake,
@@jay_vidzz2801 I’m picking up what you’re putting down I just know when you undersize a air stone it’ll put unnecessary wear and tare if you’re only using one air stone try using one that has a 1/4” line and a huge air stone and it’ll help you quiet it down a bit but I would try using a larger intake tube just so you don’t run into the issue of it needing to pull more air then it’s able to so that the heat can stay down and that’ll help it run a little more quiet. The cooler the pump runs the quieter it’ll run the heat won’t expand the metal case as much and it’ll have a lot tighter tolerances
Thank goodness this thing was noisy as crap. That was a great idea. Thank you.
Actually you aren't supposed to block the vacuum bro ..
It minimize the life of pump
Guys you can’t really hear the difference in video but you definitely can irl
True
Lmao 🤣 the buzzing goes away the noise is still their
Better than it was before that's for sure
Interesting, I wonder why the bass sound is reduced, probably it's absorbed by the tube, making it vibrate slightly
Acts more like a smaller muffler
Put a bucket over it, a pillow, outside, that is horrendous
Less air/ more air. Use larger hose and suspend pump with a bungee cord.
lol 😂 just buy a better pump like a Charles Austen pump 👍🏻👍🏻👌🏻👌🏻to many people chock there air pumps.
Sounds the same dude 😂
Try it it's no where as close to noisy, its still noisy tho lol
Exactly the same
You saved my life!
😊
That is probably putting a strain on the pump restricting the intake of air try a hose that goes around that Barb and then put it on rubber feet

But you are right it should be restricting air in if your going to use it at its maximum power

Put in in a foam box or something
the hack is put it in a box.
Is this a troll? 😂😂😂
I have this pump too and after a few months it stopped working! Do you have any idea how I could get it working again? My poor fish need some help!
Same here mine stopped working
I see not difference
Same? 😂
Lol no
Get your ears checked
🐵theyre fine doctor said🐵🐒
Check the Dr
I did he's making beats right now
