So... I found this video on the mountain today while trying to figure out how to get our dog down an unexpected descent. He had a regular harness, but doing the bunny ears with a sling around his back legs was secure and exactly what was needed to get him safely down the ledge. Thanks for making this.

Really appreciate this. I'm a hiker and my route is 800km along a 200 foot drop climbing ridge, escarpment. I want something for an emergency situation. This video is perfect.

Great content. You might be able to integrate some sticks into the "harness". I believe commercial harnesses have a stiff support to prevent the back from sagging.

raphael beinhauer yeah that does make sense almost like the bar below the hook they use with cranes to spread the load. 👍🏻

@@BetaClimbers The one I've seen was a tactical harness by singing rock. You could also check out jump harnesses, I don't know if there is a difference there.

Just shared on the Colorado 14er and Colorado Summit Team Facebook page. I remembered someone asked about a week ago for advice like this.

My Daughter is 9 and loves your "Climbing Fails". We searched but cannot find the doggie that was disliking your whippet harness video! Could you add the link here? Thanks!

Thanks for this video. I have an Australian Cattle Dog, and do a lot of hiking with him. Was looking for an emergency harness like this, thinking if anything happened to him that I would have to carry him home. So I would adapt a harness like this for carrying the dog.
