I wanted to put out at least a couple of videos from the road like this, even though I have others done already. Its been a fun and wild ride so far! After St Augustine, headed up to Fernandina Beach and then off to Destin / Panama City Beach. See you guys in the next one!
This house is great! Airbnb is always preferable to some hotel on a commercial road. I know you love St Augustine and 2 nights here will only cement that desire. Very nice you are walking distance to George St and all that the historic district has to offer. I cannot recall too much about the beaches there, though enjoyed the ocean view from the Fort. Fernandina Beach also has a great historic district, and the beaches at Destin (especially Graybar) are very nice - you can see both a sunrise & sunset over the Gulf, as Destin faces south. Enjoy the trip!

I assumed you meant this summer since everyone takes vacations in the summer so I was surprised to see you already made it to St Augustine and I’ve only been to Fernandina beach once so I’m curious what you’ll say about it. Not much surfing there as far as consistent waves bigger than waist high so I don’t go there much but it’s a popular tourist spot. I gave a jump start to a European couple on holiday when I was there
Saint Augustine, the oldest city in the U.S., been going there since I was a little girl. Born and raised in FL, now live in the cold NW. Its very commercialized now but I still love it, you can just smell the history, esp at the Spanish fort and graveyard. Still my favorite place ever!!
This is a super cool place to live...No stress,cool neighbors...Great boating both Ocean,Lakes...Sports;College,NFL...Great music live concerts...Just a laid back environment...Welcome to St Augustine...Enjoy..
I used to wait tables at Harrys in downtown st augustine 6 years ago, went to high school 30 minutes south of there. I could 100% see you being a local there, you’d fit right in with your laidback beach bum vibes. (not calling you a bum 😂 but you know what I mean) haha
We were just there last night, place was packed! Yes I would love it here, but don't know if it will happen. Prices are getting outa control here. I'll be talking about that soon, and I know what you mean 😉
I have only seen videos of St Augustine, but it looks very beautiful and charming. Definitely have plans to check it out. I also like how the buildings have northern style structure, as opposed to south Florida where the structure is different due to hurricanes. My husband says some of the houses remind him of Flintstones homes lol. I do miss seeing a lot of brick homes. I hope you get this house. I would love to see more St Augustine!
You definitely have to come visit here sometime. The architecture is also different because of how old the city is, some of the houses over 200 years old! Doesn't seem like I'll get this one, but I'll keep looking 😊 More vids on here coming soon!
It would be very diffcult to do a driving tour. Traffic is brutal. In 40 years I have never seen it like this. The restaurants are packed and have no staff. You can't walk down St. George Street. Oh, the BOL you say? In Davis Shores? I live here also. Too crowded now . But enjoy your stay, it's a nice place to visit , beaches are pretty.
My impression was Flagler beach was more affordable than the rest of Palm Coast. Inland Bunnel is undesirable. Coast is more expensive but worth it for weather and scenery

That's a nice bathroom. I like those walk-in showers. I'm not much of a tub person. It's different if it's a jacuzzi, but a small tub isn't one. 😅 I like grilling.
Michael we are in St Augustine now renting a vrbo. I've read that the area you rented in amd I rented in ( historic) is not allowed unless it is a week long stay
You're probably correct, although enforcement is the biggest factor. If the area has a rule but is not enforced its almost like there is no rule. But that could be problematic for people if they start cracking down
More a walking tour, as cars are not allowed on George St, the main drag - one of the things that make it great. No one wants to sit at an outdoor Cafe and breathe exhaust fumes, or listen to all the noise that cars/trucks/motorcycles make.
I wanted to do the walking tour so bad, but just ran out of time...I did one in the neighborhood I'm staying though across the bridge, hopefully everyone will still like it
@@MichaelBordenaro I loved the handmade cigars, too. There is always a lively scene in the historic district. I was in the area once on a Sunday, and had to park almost a mile away, but got to enjoy a great brunch on George Street.
Nice! But you could’ve stayed right on the beach in St. Augustine for the same amount or less... then again, you guys live on the beach in Miami so probably would rather enjoy the change! 😊
Definitely wanted to get a feel for what it would be like to live in the neighborhood over there as I would buy a house there not a condo, and thats right, we are on the beach every day at home 😄
Please do a walking, and a driving tour of St. Augustine. If you are able to find the time. We were planning to go there. But then the pandemic happend, and scandinavians was not allowed into the us. Have been to Florida multiple times, but never to St. Augustine.

@@MichaelBordenaro The Satellite beach up to St Augustine is my favorite mostly due to surfing although the really good surfing is in Sebastian and in winter at Palm Beach and Del Rey Beach

@@MichaelBordenaro Flagler beach is a bit chilly at times and the surfing isn’t great but it’s empty 99% of the time so I like going there to relax. Seems cheaper than anywhere else north of Daytona. But I have to be located by navy bases to use my veteran benefits so I’m limited to Jacksonville or Space Coast to use the commissary PX etc

@@MichaelBordenaro agree it’s has not much to do, often overcast and cloudy but it’s main and only redeeming value is no crowds and easy parking. No surfing either. It just a beach place you don’t have to fight over for parking or space on the sand. It’s cooler than the surrounding area so sometimes cuts a heat mitigation spot. I was unhappy about how hot St Augustine was this week not even summer but the weather report says the heat will be over in a week. Of course it’s small potatoes compared to Miami but California weather has spoiled me

@@jblackshe1 I'm not sure really, bc the way airbnb works is it will only show places that area available for your dates and match your criteria. Start with St. Augustine and go for "entire place" and see what comes up

Mexico does the exact opposite as the majority of Latinos don't have incomes that can be 'gouged', making it more than affordable to average Americans. Only in America is 'gouging' the rich a national past time, but oh how the rest suffer. It should not be this way..it is wrong and ever increases those who are bound in poverty. But..where Mar-a--Lago exists, so goes the State..right?

St. Aug grows on you. If I did not have my business in Ocala, I would either be in St Aug or St George Island, or maybe Apalachicola.
At least being in Ocala you can take a trip to either spot much easier than I can from Miami👍

@@MichaelBordenaro Flagler beach is a bit chilly at times and the surfing isn’t great but it’s empty 99% of the time so I like going there to relax. Seems cheaper than anywhere else north of Daytona. But I have to be located by navy bases to use my veteran benefits so I’m limited to Jacksonville or Space Coast to use the commissary PX etc

@@MichaelBordenaro agree it’s has not much to do, often overcast and cloudy but it’s main and only redeeming value is no crowds and easy parking. No surfing either. It just a beach place you don’t have to fight over for parking or space on the sand. It’s cooler than the surrounding area so sometimes cuts a heat mitigation spot. I was unhappy about how hot St Augustine was this week not even summer but the weather report says the heat will be over in a week. Of course it’s small potatoes compared to Miami but California weather has spoiled me

@@jblackshe1 I'm not sure really, bc the way airbnb works is it will only show places that area available for your dates and match your criteria. Start with St. Augustine and go for "entire place" and see what comes up

So.....only the rich need apply making living in Florida astronomical to the average person. And our nation caters to the wealthy, leaving the rest out in the streets.
Mexico does the exact opposite as the majority of Latinos don't have incomes that can be 'gouged', making it more than affordable to average Americans.
Only in America is 'gouging' the rich a national past time, but oh how the rest suffer.
It should not be this way..it is wrong and ever increases those who are bound in poverty.

I could openly state much more on this subject..but will keep this mininal; housing of any kind in America..vacationing included, is beyond ridiculous.

When are you going to show us SFL here were you live? Let someone who lives in St Augustine show St Augustine. This doesnt make any sense. I wanted to see SFL. You and Barefoot Vlogger are showing every place except SFL. Way more to do here than anywhere.
