I helped my dad with his old Valiant one winter up north, we had to put a cut down barbecue grill under oil pan as it was -30. Pinto in my opinion got a bad wrap, they were decent cars that got good gas mileage.

That is an awesome find for a first car project in the new shop you guys just built. Ralphi was just as enthusiastic about it as he was when his corvette was delivered. As always, really enjoy the content and family togetherness of your channel.
First time viewing this channel lm in the Bronx NY , l used to have a 1971 pinto back in 1980, l got from my brother in law, l toyed with the idea of putting a 289 C.I.D. in it but never did after seeing your video l wish l had, it was so nice to see how you're family is so involved and its obvious there's a lot of love there , keep up the good work ! 😊
Just when we thought we saw the best videos, you come out with a better video! I was clapping so hard when it started, and I was so happy for all of you! Everything is a family affair when it comes to the Sleeperdude channel, and it's great to watch. I'm so happy you have a great Ripper there! Yay!
LOVE THE PINTO!!! The body is so nice and that engine sounds GREAT. With the back being so short and light, it sounds like the perfect Burnout car!! Squeezy really is a very good artist! I was amazed by the quality of her two paintings she did. I bet she could sell those on your merchandise site. Love your family and animals!
Outstanding find, my friend. So glad that thing fired up like it did. BTW, that's the second GMC Motorhome you've spotted on the side of the road... If you ever get the chance to get one, you should grab it. They're becoming extremely collectable. Interesting fact on them: they're front wheel drive. Extremely cool engineering on those rigs. P.S. Love the clean-up time lapse at the end. Too funny. And Squeezy's art is pretty doggone impressive, too.
The are Oldsmobile Tornado engine and transmission. They are unique and a decent small motor home but the rear suspension and fuel tanks are usually bad and with no replacement parts they usually require good fabrication skills to get them back on the road. But they got lucky on the Pinto they might get lucky on one of those motor homes as well.
Great find!!! Sounds like you need to thank the father in-law. Thanks for the great video and the look on Wawas face never ceases to make me giggle!!! She gets so tickled with the rowdy cars she definitely reminds me of Josh!!! Have a wonderful and blessed evening y'all made mine for sure!!!

I just finished watching this video as my first sleeperdude video. It will definitely not be the last I'm going to watch all of them . Absolutely fantastic content and love the family style show . Blessings to all of you
I know that they have repeated it a lot, seeing your happy face when the pinto has started to work, and especially when you have driven it... it may sound a bit silly, but it has made my day. Thank you very much for the effort you put into these videos ( both making them , and especially editing them ) .
One of the first 2 builds I started out with. Pinto with a 302 and Vega with a 350. 4 spd in pinto, auto in the Vega. Oh for the good ole days! Thank you guys for taking me back.
You guys are awesome! Living life on your terms with your family and having fun! This is the kind of stuff people look back on and wish they would have done.
Among my favorites of your videos. Brought back memories of the 3 Pintos I've had. One thing that kind of brings tears to my eyes though is the price. Gone are the days when one could buy a fairly decent, running, drivable vehicle for $200 or less. Bought my first Pinto at auction for $110 and drove it home.
My first new car was 1980 pinto white automatic, 17 to21 seconds in-the quarter mile nice it was not my first car just my first NEW car. It had 30 miles on it p.s.if you want my pinto drag car for 2000, come and get it, lol thanks BigAl California
I was surprised that Pinto had any life left in it. It looked like the result of an explosion in a junk yard. 😆 But your skills and patience have put another classic car back in action. A good name for it would be "Wild Pony". You and you family continue to bring us great entertainment. 👍👍👍
Dad is a legend lol totally reminds me of my dad when i was younger. " who wants to drive it? You wana drive it?" I love that. And those paintings Are awesome.
This video is awesome. I owned a 460 pinto back in the mid-90's but the sketch level on this one is a solid "10". Couldn't beat it for the price though. The goats cracked me up too. I thought I had it bad with my cats but at least they don't try to eat car parts. LOL.
That car looks like a blast!!! It was a pleasure meeting you guys in Bristol. You were on your way to a podium finish in the burnout comp. Hope you get the Gremlin straigtened out and back out there soon!!
Amazing video as usual, and everyone had a drive at the end.. you're truly blessed with everyone getting involved and working on the revival.. Wawa swinging a ratchet and spinning filters :) I truly enjoyed this video and ended up with a nice ripper!
Although wiring a vehicle is frustrating as all get out, it looks like you guys figured out the mistakes in the wiring -- good job on troubleshooting & repairing.
Born in 67 and at 15, 4 other boys and me got pulled over 2 blocks from my home in my town of 1500 , when I asked why he puled me over he said he couldn`t see anyone driving lol , I was driving my moms pinto , he took all of us home with no tickets , my brother and I were the last to be dropped off , I was 5 foot 3 inches 90 pounds , I miss that car and hope all of you have a blast with it . I subscribed to watch the family project progress .
I smiled so much during this video. Love seeing how excited yall were. I've said it on another video, but I remember Pintos ans Chevettes running at Brainerd Optimist in the 90s.
I think the Pro-Mod hood scoop makes it worth at least another 2 grand!🤣 The look on Josh's face when it popped right off when they were checking for spark was priceless! I'd check and make sure you have two massive battery cables coming directly to the front from that rear mounted battery (or get a gear reduction starter). Ford starters typically draw a lot of current, even on a stock engine. That said, it would be a great idea to make a tube frame for it, complete with roll cage, and move the whole engine back another 12" or so, like you mentioned. It's just going to be a tire smoker for now, unless you load the trunk up with a few 100 lb. sandbags. I think you did well on this deal, considering the engine and trans seem relatively solid!😉👍👍 EDIT: Back in the late 1980's I built up a rowdy 2.8L V6 for one of these, and it would light up the tires in 3 gears, and chirp them in 4th. I don't know if the guy ever made it to the strip with it, but it was a really fun little street cruiser!!😄
love y’all’s vids please never stop making the long vids there so much better than the 3 min vids all other car tubers make i happily watch your 1hr+ vids cause there very entertaining love the family and the content
Y'all are just the best! Never fail to make me smile and laugh:) From seeing WaWa grinning ear to ear when you was taking them a ride to Mom barefooting it old school...so funny and fun to watch! You got yourself a bonified yard sale ripper! Hope to meet you guys again soon, take care!

Thank you we had fun
Yay!
Thank you so much
Love how you involved the whole family 💕 your childrens future will definitely benefit from your patience and knowledge .
I am blessed
LOVE THE PINTO!!! The body is so nice and that engine sounds GREAT. With the back being so short and light, it sounds like the perfect Burnout car!! Squeezy really is a very good artist! I was amazed by the quality of her two paintings she did. I bet she could sell those on your merchandise site. Love your family and animals!
We are going to try to do a burnout at ford fest. She is getting very good at painting
It's so great what you and your wife do with your kids the memories and experiences you give them is great thank you for sharing them ❤
Outstanding find, my friend.
Cool I had no idea they are front wheel drive .
That's a dream build of mine. What a steal y'all got. I need to get mine going. I got a 77 Mercury Bobcat
Awesome thank you
Great find!!!
What a jewel and a ripper!!! it fired up I got excited, wasn't expecting it to that fast, this made me smile to the end, Great find SLEEPERDUDE!!!

Yes!!!
Thank you
One of the first 2 builds I started out with. Pinto with a 302 and Vega with a 350. 4 spd in pinto, auto in the Vega. Oh for the good ole days! Thank you guys for taking me back.
Thank you
Who knew a yellow Pinto could be a “certified ripper”, lol? WTG Sleeperdude pit team! Very funny video. I laughed throughout it.
Awesome thank you
You guys are awesome! Living life on your terms with your family and having fun! This is the kind of stuff people look back on and wish they would have done.
A genuine family!
Popcorn and sleeperdude, no better combo
My first car yellow 1980 Ford pinto manual transmission hatchback with 20k miles and I paid $2000 in 1983
Awesome
I just made some nachos. Heck of a vidja so far
My first new car was 1980 pinto white automatic, 17 to21 seconds in-the quarter mile nice it was not my first car just my first NEW car. It had 30 miles on it p.s.if you want my pinto drag car for 2000, come and get it, lol thanks BigAl California
I have goldfish
I don't think I've seen Josh so happy! Great job family!
2000 dollars worth of fun all day. Seeing those kids faces light up worth every penny. You are a great Dad Josh. Live your channel.
I was surprised that Pinto had any life left in it. It looked like the result of an explosion in a junk yard. 😆 But your skills and patience have put another classic car back in action. A good name for it would be "Wild Pony". You and you family continue to bring us great entertainment. 👍👍👍
Yeah for sure
I ❤ watching y'all when y'all are in the car's after you get them running. Every one is smiles for miles! It's awesome!!!👍👍
Dad is a legend lol totally reminds me of my dad when i was younger. " who wants to drive it? You wana drive it?" I love that. And those paintings Are awesome.
Thank you
This video is awesome. I owned a 460 pinto back in the mid-90's but the sketch level on this one is a solid "10". Couldn't beat it for the price though. The goats cracked me up too. I thought I had it bad with my cats but at least they don't try to eat car parts. LOL.
Awesome thank you
Making a Crummy day Better every time!!! Thank you sleeper Dude and FAM!!!!
Glad to help!!
Thank you. Good times
Awesome thank you
Every kid should have parents like these ... and every parent should have kids like these. So great to see.
Thank you
You’re 110% correct.. I love your comment
love y’all’s vids please never stop making the long vids there so much better than the 3 min vids all other car tubers make i happily watch your 1hr+ vids cause there very entertaining love the family and the content
Josh if you see this?
Please consider putting a Charlie Brown zig-zag strip down each side of the PINTO?
Squeeze might go from a 0 to 7-8?
🤣🤣🤣
Hello Sleeperdude Family,
I love watching your shows on both channels. The love for vehicles in your family is awesome and it's good to see the chemistry between you and the kids.
I also couldn't wait to watch another episode of your 6000 mile yourney, Keep going on making great content.
