The falcons were cool cars for the time. Right now, I got a 1966 Ford ranchero that has the falcon front end very rear to see anymore. I'm glad to see other people want to save these old cars

Omg. I love this car. I had a 66 Falcon Futura Sport Coupe. The interior looked like that of the same year Mustang. I'm so jealous right now. Wish I still had all the good old cars I had back in the day. I hope you restore this beauty.
To me, your newest Falcon is the best body style ever made. That car would be in high demand if you repaired it and made it a street rod. That’s a super popular body. It looks more aggressive than your earlier body style to me. It looks more like a muscle car in my mind. But that’s why everyone’s allowed to have their own opinions! Great video guys. As always. vin code would tell. 3rd and 4th characters in the VIN are body code. I imagine this is a code 17, Futura 2 door hardtop. Sample VIN might be something like 4F17F123456... that breaks down as a '64 Futura hardtop, Dearborn built, with a 260 V8. @@PeterHinkle
@@garysimonson9593 right. I believe the Sprint code is 63D if I’m not mistaken. I’m sure Josh knows what it is. He seems to know a lot about them. I’m the one that is confused. yeah, 63D would be the trim tag body code for a Sprint, I think... 63B for a Futura 2dr HT. What I'm seeing suggests it's an original 170, 3 speed car although they might have put that little Dagenham four speed as an option on sixes. @@PeterHinkle
Falcon was not a race car but the product of someone working min wage doing what they could a little at a time. They had a vision and a dream, working with used parts from friends and anybody that would donate the stuff they had left from upgrading their own car. I did the same with mine. It wasn't what I always wanted but every little bit helped along. 90% was the look and the rest was bad decisions mixed with mismatched parts. And yes it was awesome!! Could be wrong but even with a 6 cyl and a original column shifted 3 speed moved to the floor would have have had a permanent smile on my face. Would have banged the gears like I was racing Grumpy Jenkins at every red light.
We just love Y'all. Thank you for loving on our special needs boy, Isn't he wonderful? God Bless Each of you with the best of health and safety. Thank you for good family entertainment. Get some rest
That 64 Falcon was almost my first car, but I was too big for it. I ended up getting a 69 Galaxie, and loved it. I had so much fun armor'alling the bench seats and sending friends sliding around on turns. Hahaha, fond memories of hearing laughing and screaming from being mushed against a wall on a turn gravitron style. 🤙
Granny is precious, the video of her sweet face was the best♥️🥰♥️🙏🏼♥️❣️❣️❣️❣️I pray y’all don’t end up gettin sick from bein out in that cold, bless your hearts❣️❣️
Get that Skeet Skeet from the Sweet Patina, for the hood hinges. That shizz works. Saving them & getting them back in circulation is important. Finding & flipping helps fund other projects. Or buys the kids time in extra curricular activities. Which is also important. Ty for taking us along
Keep it!!! 3 hours, 1 guy, a buffer, some mild compund and some wax and it would make what paint is there look awesome especially being black. It has so much potential!
As far as this old man can remember, they went from a 260 cid V8 engine in '64 to 289 cid in '65. You could get four speed manual or three speed automatic. Either two or four barrel carburetors. Of course, a six cylinder was also available. Basically same choices as Mustangs. The Sprint convertibles are the most desirables. Many blessings to y'all!
Actually the other way around the Mustang had the same choices as the Falcon seeing as the Mustang was built on the Falcon platform, now having said that Josh you’re right you can’t keep the all, this one deserves a full restoration and a spot in the fleet though, she is a beauty. What’s nice about this one is it’s a factory manual car, so you could drop that 302 with a 4 speed gear box in it and drive the heck out of it.
I'm a 67 yr old closet motorhead grandma. I would have loved to grow up in a family like yours ❤. I 'v got a few friends & relatives watching you now too!😊
Well Sleeper, You have me hooked on the Falcon - Had the same car in a ragtop when I was a kid, only it was a golden color - She's a keeper, and even Squeze is in on it - YaHoo!
Josh and family. As someone who has been in the pressure wash industry for a long time I love how you and the family methodically wash everything. One thing that may be useful for you is to get a turbo nozzle for your washer. Also I’m sure at some point you will get a hot water washer for your shop. Great job. Keep up the videos. Take care. 😊
I'd love to make a suggestion about cleaning these super moldy/mildewy cars. You can purchase high concentrations of bleach, like pool shock. Dilute to 2 or 3 percent with water. Apply and allow to soak for a few minutes. You'll see the mold and dirt just melt off. Then use the pressure washer to finish the job. Also, and extremely important. Please be careful mixing bleach with dish soap. There's usually a warning. For suds, use laundry soap or some kind of car wash surfactant. Love watching your videos!
I really like this car. Its sweet! You should do a complete restore from top to bottom. Painted and all shined up. Y'all need a show car for sure. This one is perfect for that!! 💯😎❤
I feel very identified with your videos. I recently went to live on the outskirts in a town to start over. I rescued an abandoned 1970s Ford coupe and now I go to my business in that car every day.
Josh, you got 2 donkeys in the pasture, don't you ,each with 4 leg power. Hook them up to pull your Falcon out of the shop. Them is bored, give them something else to do. You could use that other tractor to pull the Falcon ,save you and your children's back. Weld a push thingy on the front of that little tractor. it's got enough oomph to push a small car. Put that Big and little tractor to work, make them earn their keep. Use your head more and less of your back. Take from one who knows. I am 66 yrs. old, shouldn't listen to my daddy more. He plowed many a field in Mississippi behind a mule,he ought to know.
Santa Clause sooooo needs to bring you a professional tire machine for Christmas! 🎅🏼 🎄 He also needs to drop that four eyed Mustang off at my place on his way back to the North Pole. 😬
When I watched the video of yall getting that new tractor I kept thinking, This is gonna be a game changer for getting cars out of tree rows..looks like I didn't have to wait long to see...I love the way this mid 60s Futura looks its like a cross between your early shorter falcon and a 64 impala..or a chevy 2 ...it just looks like a racecar...excited for this one!!
What a cool Falcon. I love the steering wheel. It is just like the one I used to run in my old '72 Nova I had. This car needs to be built again. A gasser Falcon would be great. It will be interesting to see what you decide to do with it. Have a blessed week Sleeperdude family. Keep up the awesome videos.
This is exactly why I love watching The Sleeperdude UA-cam channel You guys see the beauty in something that really needs to be in a scrap yard...and will transform it into a running and driving thing of beauty That is awesome
In 1963, all Falcons came with the four lug wheels and tires... In 1964 and 1965, the Sprint Futura's all came with a V8 and five lug wheels and tires... If I were still a younger man, I would try and get this one off of you... I used to collect Falcons (Econolines and Rancheroes too) and I have owned them all except this bodystyle and the Sprint Futura convertable... But I am no longer able to crawl around under one the way you would need to if you wanted to fix this one up right... She would make a great daily driver for someone with a smallblock, nine inch, and new front suspension though... You are a lucky man! It is great to see your whole family involved in cars and in what you do in general... That is a very rare gift...
Another awesome video. Love your family and how y'all interact with each other as there is so much love and respect for each other and Oliver. Now that Squeezy is on camera more we get to see her personality a lil more. She's competitive, sharp as a tack and a trip as in funny. She's a show stealer for sure. I haven't heard the term "jump a coke bottle " in years. The more you cleaned that falcon the better she looked. She's a beaut Clark. Also loved the tractor purchase video... Merry Christmas!
She's a bute... definitely worth the restoration effort. A great adventure as always and super cool content. Appreciate you sharing this save😎🇺🇸😇🛠️👨🔧☺️
josh and tosh you guys have such an awesome family! I love seeing a family do stuff like this together and seeing kids happy to be spending time working on cars together. I wish I could've done this with my dad but he left when I was young. I love seeing a happy family spend time together and having the kids get interested in the automotive hobby! Especially with wawa and squeezy we need more women in car culture! I love seeing women who actually like cars and learning and working on them is really cool to see! keep up the awesome work guys!
Boy, I tell you what Josh you are definitely keeping yourself busy. I wish that I could afford to put out content right now but with the holidays and everything the way it is and my Escalade having the issues that it has the brakes are stuck lol keep doing what you’re doing. I hope you guys had an amazing Thanksgiving, if I don’t hear from you guys before have a merry Christmas and a happy new year God bless
@@blakeneysanders4264 it is a figure of speech. The brakes are stuck on me creating content not on my vehicle. I am a retired mechanic of 30 years and I also have my own UA-cam channel. I am going to be doing a EFI to carburetor conversion on my Vortech Escalade here, soon once all of the parts arrive with the holidays and everything else going on and working like I have been, I have not had the time to do anything. I was just commenting on how much content he has been putting out lately I commend him for that I envy that.
Great video great car. I don't usually like the gasser style cars but this looks like it would be a cool gasser drag car. Kids were classic in this video and Mom with her " fart sauna " comment got me too. You guys are great. Thanks for sharing and God bless.
When we were teenagers in the late 70's, my buddy got one of these and spent a ton of time and paper-route money fixing it up - it was really nice. He eventually sold it and six months later he was coming down a hill that overlooks a junkyard and saw it inside. The whole front end was folded up.
There's something just satisfying about watching kids clean a car and then having fun doing so. As a parent you got to be proud when they just jump in and get to see that transformation knowing they brought it back from a very neglected state. This is a good looking car and will make a fun toy for you all to enjoy. Looking forward to seeing what your plans are for this one keep up the good work you guys.
I had a 64 Fairlane 500 custom sport coupe with the original 289 in it. It still had most of the trim including the gold 289 badges. They turned Alot of them into Thunder bolts ⚡. I still kick myself for selling that car. I love the channel and the family dynamic! Someone would buy that car in a heartbeat and you should be able to get a pretty penny for it.😁
When you mentioned 66 and 67 Nova , I smiled , 66 Nova SS was my 2nd car , gave $600 for it 350 hp 327 , 400 trans , 411 posi , car was way faster than the brakes could handle. Still have the original 4spd console after 43 yrs
From a father of a low functioning autistic daughter, good on your family. Much respect. Love the 65-66 galaxy, so this car is very cool to me. Such a beautiful design.
Squeeze has found her callin'! Glad to see her more involved. I think her being able to drive has made her more interested, but I predict one day she'll be the one painting the cars! Y'all have to get a paint booth😊!
Dude PLEASE build this car… 100% my favorite vehicle of yours.. not much of a ford guy, but I have a huge soft spot for these falcons. This one seems to have pretty good bones to it
If I'm not mistaken that is a 64 1/2 falcon. Back when I was young my older stepbrother in those days had one just like it. He had a 351w with a nice cam ported heads a 750 double pumper with headers and it was fast. It rolled out the driveway one night and hit a tree with the trunk getting smashed up. It got sold after good memories
A few guys in my HS auto shop class had these. These "compact" cars with the small V8's were very desirable, especially with a four speed. I really like the slotted mags. They were really popular back then.
Josh, I believe that is a "64 Futura. What identifies the difference between a "64 and "65 are the side trim, front grill and gas cap. All are different between the two years. Four lugs indicate six cylinder. My mom had a "65 Futura when I was in high school. Two door sedan with 289, quick car for that era. Still my favorite Falcon.
I believe that gas cap with the dude on it was the emblem for Mercury many years ago. My mother had a Merc and that Emblem was on it. That was in the early 60s . I can't remember what year the car was
My neighbor had a 64' red Ford Falcon here in Newton Falls, Ohio but,it had the 289 HO motor and it would move! I love that body style myself. It would be cool to bring it back to life. Thanks for sharing! It was my first time of seeing your show. I'll definitely check back.
You should do a Christmas video like the end of It's A Wonderful Life, running around all the supporting cast of the show! Yelling "Merry Christmas, Oliver!", "Merry Christmas, Mike the Neighbor!", "Merry Christmas, you ole' Dollar General!"
Probably the last week to buy merch and get it in time for Christmas. Www.theSleeperdude.com

I'm happy to find another great channel. I can't do mechanic stuff, so I live vicariously through UA-cam.
Awesome thank you
Man I just gave a set of seats away that was for that car.❤
Oh wow
No skipping ads is the only help i could offer for this channel
I had a 65 289/ 271 hp Falcon Futura Sprint in High School. Thanks for the memories.
No problem thanks for watching
Not a Falcon guy, but this body style is my favorite. Another great video 😊
ABSOLUTELY------> OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!. 🙂
I really appreciate it to see Wawa get so involve. Glad to see she got her first car. Awesome Missy. Great lady
Thank you
In 1965 a friend bought a falcon 4 door,orderd it with a289 hipo motor&4 speed trans.A real sleeper stop light bandit..lol
Oh awesome
The new tractor already earning its keep! Great stuff as always family 👏👍
That gravel is gonna form its own ecosystem with all that moss, mold, mud and decomposed rat bits soaking into it. 🤣
I love watching when you guys pressure wash the cars. it's actually relaxing watching the cars clean up.
Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
Check your rubber brake lines, biggest cause of stuck brakes.
@TheHomeWrencher_1776 I apologize, I didn't realize and hope I didn't offend you. I missed read the comment.
@@blakeneysanders4264 no offense taken and we all make mistakes… trust me I
Know this one..🤣 But thank you for your comments and support!
Great video great car. I don't usually like the gasser style cars but this looks like it would be a cool gasser drag car. Kids were classic in this video and Mom with her " fart sauna " comment got me too. You guys are great. Thanks for sharing and God bless.
Can’t wait to see how this one goes spend several hours a day watching your videos
Hope you enjoy it!
That is one fantastic looking ride. I looooove Falcons. They have one of the finest looking bodys. ❤
When we were teenagers in the late 70's, my buddy got one of these and spent a ton of time and paper-route money fixing it up - it was really nice. He eventually sold it and six months later he was coming down a hill that overlooks a junkyard and saw it inside. The whole front end was folded up.
Beautiful video
Thank you
1st!!!!
Yes!!
This one seems to have pretty good bones to it
That Falcon is beautiful. Y’all can make it into a monster racer or pretty pretty cruiser. She’s purty.
For sure e
If I'm not mistaken that is a 64 1/2 falcon. Back when I was young my older stepbrother in those days had one just like it. He had a 351w with a nice cam ported heads a 750 double pumper with headers and it was fast. It rolled out the driveway one night and hit a tree with the trunk getting smashed up. It got sold after good memories
A few guys in my HS auto shop class had these. These "compact" cars with the small V8's were very desirable, especially with a four speed.
I really like the slotted mags. They were really popular back then.
Very cool
Josh, I believe that is a "64 Futura. What identifies the difference between a "64 and "65 are the side trim, front grill and gas cap. All are different between the two years. Four lugs indicate six cylinder. My mom had a "65 Futura when I was in high school. Two door sedan with 289, quick car for that era. Still my favorite Falcon.
You need to pick one, and do it up. My brother had a '64 Fairlane 4 door that was almost identical. Put one of those 302's in it.
I believe that gas cap with the dude on it was the emblem for Mercury many years ago. My mother had a Merc and that Emblem was on it. That was in the early 60s . I can't remember what year the car was
I’m not a huge ford guy but I’m really digging the futura falcon
My neighbor had a 64' red Ford Falcon here in Newton Falls, Ohio but,it had the 289 HO motor and it would move! I love that body style myself. It would be cool to bring it back to life. Thanks for sharing! It was my first time of seeing your show. I'll definitely check back.
This road Snake is coming back to life bit by bit by family power. It is gonna be awesome when he's full-time action ferrsure😂
You should do a Christmas video like the end of It's A Wonderful Life, running around all the supporting cast of the show!
Yelling "Merry Christmas, Oliver!", "Merry Christmas, Mike the Neighbor!", "Merry Christmas, you ole' Dollar General!"
It's so nice to see your family work together and still have so much fun, love your videos!! Excited for the next one
Man love the falcon . Your family is awesome working together….. saving fantastic old cars Thank you…..
Thank you
I had one just like this, in 1975 that I sold to my brother for $200.00, and I'm still waiting for him to pay me. LOL. Love it.
Oh my gosh that’s funny
