    What's impressive is that he rides his Begode in the rain. Brave man.

      That would not have been possible. It goes against my ride philosophy. I never push a wheel unless I've had it for a few hundred miles to learn its limits and quirks, etc

    Nice tests and imo it shows a lot about racing these wheels. It's not like someone is gonna totally smoke the other guy. The difference in max speed between these wheels is minimal. The rest is skill and fearlessness / willingness to overlean. It would be cool to know if Thomas has the modified firmware on his Master Pro. Then at least it would be safer. The V13 tiltback is quite decent... but it still takes some balls to hit 50mph.

    Nice wet streets race!
    I think it goes to show that the V13 is a more refined machine in every sense.
    Effortless acceleration (up to 48mph- creep for rest). Incredibly stable at speed -weight plays a roll there. Suspension system is pretty smooth on the smaller street encounters-curbs, potholes, shallow stairs-(V13 street rider). The height mixed with that weight allows it to be incredibly nimble through the turns. IMO
    Headroom for performance and safety at core level.The braking is where the highest energy is used. Stopping 300lbs in a short distance-think about how fast and how much weight you had off the back of that thing-very confident. It looked like you stopped on a dime -vs maybe not so much with other wheel.
    Part of that being you can’t hang off back and aggressively brake/be a smooth criminal your whole ride like on a V13 without worry of -beep-beep-beep-beep-face plant. I tilt scales at 205-215lbs suited up w/backpack.
    I love to ride fast! But I have to get up for work tomorrow, so it’s nice to know I have a machine built by a company who has that in mind.
    This is 20kW motor waiting to be matched to even a more robust delivery system -and in you previous video about new line of wheels to come from Inmotion, excitement builds!
    Thanks!

    I did a speed run on my MP vs. a V13, and I strongly feel like in order for it to be a fair comparison, you need to have the same rider do multiple times speed runs, because rider ability and size/weight is a *major* factor in racing. To call the V13 faster based on multiple speed runs isn't a good comparison. If you swapped wheels and ride on the MP, then it might be "more fair" of a comparison but a lot of it comes down to how acclimated you are with your wheel and pads also. What were the wattages that each of you were pulling?

    • @UStride
      @UStride  Рік тому +5

      Yeah I get you but this is the real world. They being comparable wheels and riders is good enough

    • @thugis07
      @thugis07 Рік тому +2

      Same thing I was thinking always swap wheels but at this point I-stide pads was customs so the other probably would like it. So do it again wit grizzla pass on both so both riders can adjust to there liking and do a proper race

  • @wheelman6964
    @wheelman6964 Рік тому +6

    You're pulling your left leg out of the pads when going for max acceleration, is that what you mean with speed/torque pads? Hats off for making such a test with that gnarly weather.

    • @UStride
      @UStride  Рік тому +4

      Correct. My leverage comes from the bottom part that hooks to my instep vs his with his sheen. He has more of an advantage that way being a torque pads but more risk to over torque.

    • @dirt.surfer
      @dirt.surfer Рік тому +1

      Yeah most riders do this, I lean in on my left. Also have a slight gap on the right pad for I start my mount with left foot in initially, making it easier for a blind mount with right foot.

    Wow, that was a great run, very intense. This puts the speculation to bed. There was a air of suspicion of the V 13’s performance. This just cements Inmotion’s first attempt into the performance realm as a credible contender. Has the question been answered, in regards to their choice of less range?
    I noticed Ewheel’s restocked the Monter Pro with limited inventory. They are offering a Molicel battery pack. In your opinion, can this model compete with the updated performance big wheels? Another point of contention, is the noticeable weight difference of the Monster Pro compared to the newer performance big wheels. The Monster Pro is advertised as weighing in at 88 lbs.
    Thanks

    I'm curious.. besides the pad setup that you guys are rocking, what settings are you both using? (i.e. pedals, any tilt angle? forward? backward?). i think acclimation to the wheel is a major factor and the V13 with its safety implementations allows a rider to feel more confident in full sending the wheel a bit more. Having the overhead is definitely nice. A better test would have you both swapping wheels, but unless you have a bit more time on the Master Pro, risk of cutout is there. Good to know you're testing the Master Pro now and can make some more informed opinions :)
    I have ridden both, and the overhead of the V13 is what has me prefer it over the other. I haven't checked, but is the Freestyler firmware with the dynamic tiltback available for the Master Pro? That would certainly be a nice addition and would instill some nice feedback and assist in cutout prevention.

  • @yusufcanaktas6929

    Master pro has more torque than v13. With the same rider you can achieve better acceleration numbers

  • @firstlast9813
    @firstlast9813 Рік тому +1

    He looks heavier and less experienced with high speed. I'd say they're both equally powerful wheels. The V13 has better stock ergonomics whereas the Master Pro would need modifications to enhance braking and acceleration.

  • @bobbyshaw6831

    • @TrungNguyenSquallLHeart
      @TrungNguyenSquallLHeart Рік тому +1

      was about to say, they should swap the wheels around to factor out rider skill.. though obviously acclimation to a wheel is still a part of that factor as well.

    Two different personalities, very murky and not logical tests as you say at the end. Some people trust the road rash is never that bad if the PPE is on point and the individual can blend with the ground... The V13 is also more reassuring and is hard to push to the limit... Is there anyone that has actually cut this beast out? It seems to push back so hard that nobody can cut it out 😮

    Good video content! But a terrible test/comparison of the wheels. I get why you weren't willing to hop on the MP and push it right away but these results mean basically nothing without switching riders. Now that you have the MP for testing please run time trials on both wheels and compare those results.

    he isnt a race rider, the master pro is faster , always test them both urself using a speed app, I know you did this for views but it is very misleading ...I've tested all these wheels ... master pro is faster , I used the same pads on both wheels and me same rider (me) and master just has more speed /accel and torque...
