@@khaledgamal9842 no, just two/three. Usually the first one would be a 3D application of your choosing, blender or C4D work great. Then you would move your work down the pipeline to after effects or another editor. You could also use applications like Houdini to further enhance your motion graphics through procedural FX

That Apple show reel you showed while talking about Apple Motion can't be made in Motion, at least not the version that was out when they made it. Most people think it was made in After Effects. Pretty ironic and important to know.

Adobe AE has the most advanced toolset for Motion Design together with C4D I think these are the best.. however I would always suggest starting to learn Blender bcs with its consistent development Blender will surely become a great Motion Design tool as well and the thing is that even if AE is 2D layer based they are working more and more with 3D assets wich you can load in to your scene but AE is not ment for modeling, means u can not make adjustments ..think blender in combination with AE is a good and budgetfriendly choice

I'm shocked to see Blender at no 2. All I've heard since June 2020 (my interest in modelling, vfx etc) is that it's not the industry standard at all. So I started learning other software. This seems to go against this. Very interesting turn of event.

Love the lineup. It was fair. I like how Blender got a listing, showing Ukramedia's work. He's a Cinema 4D pro who recently began making tutorials and courses about using Blender for Motion Graphics.
Cinema 4D is still the best at Motion Graphics, especially for beginners. Houdini is the most advanced, but the hardest to learn.
I'm surprised that 3DS Max and Maya made this list, although it's great since they're getting better mograph tools. Everybody wins.
Do you know if MASH will be ported over to 3DSMax?

I just hate it when people underestimate bmd fusion.
Fusion combines 2d and 3d motion graphics in a way that no other software can do. I can talk for hours about how powerful fusion is but it will be a waste of time as bmd itself doesnt promote fusion enough.
Heard about that before.
Seems like BMD needs a new marketing team.

People don't know what is the future of stand alone fusion.

@@soban9685 confusion, tokyo productions, thinking penguin these are youtube channels I would recommend. Fusion can do everything except character animation. Fusion particles and expression system is much better and easier. What makes fusion powerful is macros,bin,setting and user controlls. You can work much faster in fusion, you can create 5-6 different version of any node and show them to client within half second. Fusion is combination of after effects and nuke.

i dont think blender will ever surpass houdini, it's just in another league of its own when it comes to simulations and procedural, houdini is a goddamn beast
Will Adobe after effects CS6 work fine in every aspects? or would you rather recommend another program?

Of course All of these can be used for animation to a certain extent.

@@blackash6d922 on this list Blender is the only free 3d software. and Cavalry, Motion, and AE are 2D software that are affordable to a certain extent.

How could you leave Blackmagic Fusion/Resolve off of this list. A clear oversight. Especially if you included Apple Motion and the new kid Cavalry.

i know blender is great and all but how come blender is at number 2 spot?, the number 2 spot should be after effects, because it is the most used software for motion graphics and a must for any job posting requirements, here in our country its neither cinema 4d, after effects and some of its adobe suite software, it has even a 3d plug ins for 3d motion graphics, i dont know where did you got this information?
This should have been two videos because you can't compare Houdini to AE for example.
so the first part was about 2D software, AE being#1, and second part was about 3D software and C4D is the best.

@@sashabent6585 there are a lot of criteria taken into consideration when making this list, like popularity, ease of use, and resources that can be found when choosing to learn the software.
@@InspirationTuts true, i can see that, houdini is considerably more difficult to learn than any of the other programs that youve stated like you said in your video, but there's still an abundant amount of resources for people to learn from (probably not as much as blender but its still substantial) , and tbh if they can get the hang of houdini i think that it will absolutely be the most important tool in their kit by a long shot

I don't think you understand the difference between Motion Graphics, general graphics and 3D animation.
Motion graphics is what you do with a program like After Effects. It's title sequences, logo animations and End Frames. Motion graphics doesn't normally require dynamics or simulations because it's just graphics in motion.
General Graphics is what you do with Photoshop.
3D animation is what you do with Maya and Max.
Having done Motion Graphics for 20 years, and presently earning $2,000 a day, I would NEVER do 3D animation OR general graphics for the same price. They are totally different disciplines.
You can do motion graphics and motion graphics alone as a career.
It doesn't matter that some programs have motion graphics capabilities, THEY ARE NOT MOTION GRAPHICS SOLUTIONS.
It's like Chris Rock's joke 'You can drive a car with your feet, but it's not a good idea'.
Having 'Motion Graphics Capabilities' is like saying 'I have some basketball capabilities'. Can you go on the court with LeBron?
I can work with nearly every solution you list, but for motion graphics, After Effects is king.
Why?
Companies that I've worked with (AT&T Wachovia, Bank One, Rolex, Ricoh) would NEVER accept flashy graphics because they've spent millions on the film shoot. the LAST thing they want is to have the graphics overpower the actual ad. They want simple tasteful graphics.
All that flashy stuff is cool for getting a certain type of client but when you want to work with the big dogs it's all about After Effects and some freaking restraint.
Big studios use Unreal for game design (which is what it has been used for for at least two decades) and VFX (which is NOT motion graphics). Also, Unreal Engine is free until you've earned $50,000 whether you're making a game or not. It has NOTHING to do with making a game.
Your ENTIRE Houdini section only displayed VFX. Not a single example of Motion Graphics (which can also be said for other sections as well). The fact that there is text present doesn't make it motion graphics.
Underrated comment. I dove deep into AE over a year ago and jumped on Fiverr (please no jokes) I basically accepted that I was going to work for free and be exploited but I actually have been getting 8-10hrs a day of work for the past year just from that terrible site. I feel like now I'm definitely ready to start to try and find my own clients but am a bit scared and frankly have no clue where to start. Any chance you can shine some light on landing a paying client?

But as far as getting big clients goes, you need to do some time with a design house. I was lucky in that I got a job at a HUGE post production house just before post production houses started switching over to 'All in one' houses. So I got jobs working with major clients right off the bat.
But you need to build a name with big ad agencies.
After Effects skills have landed me as much as $2000 a day. It's the industry standard and won't be knocked off the pedestal any time soon.
You don't pay for simplicity, you pay for the ability to do more.
unreal engine & blender have better future, since its free and growing fast.

No, c4d also has amazing support from developers side, and max on is really growing, they also bought redshift. Blender never will be as good as c4d, get some info
stop using adobe products! why give them all that power? no one man should ever have all that power! stop wasting money on these blood sucking fiends! go to the open source community and invest money in that way! allow these free and open source software to grow and kick ass along the way like blender has already done! now everyone can have the same power! what would happen when everyone is on equal levels? god only knows! but should be a site to see.
