Yup, seen them at Penns Peak. Great guys, they came out into the crowd and played in front of us and I also met the Sax player. Such a memorable night out in Pennsylvania. John and the band were terrific.
Wow, 30 mins ago I caught a 'Triple B' reference in a movie and here is another...Beaver Brown Band. 222. Pop Culture "Influencers" out there like those doin tv, film and music, they do everything for a reason. The more a mid-aged man like me, who has lived in 4 decades of shifts and TRENDS, the more I see the patterns between those Spiritual Influencers using NUMBERS to manipulate people, and small, obscure details like a line from Tony Stark: "Am I running a BED and BREAKFAST for a BIKER gang?" The more these patterns can be seen for what they are, the less CONTAINED a person's brain becomes. THAT alone...is a real daily nightmare. Has been for me.
Always liked Part II best. The ending is pretty cool when you suspend disbelief and imagine what it would be like for something like that to actually happen. John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band did great with their music.
Crazy thing is I really similar thing happened in the 90s. An American musician got huge in South Africa, where it was rumoured that he died. There’s a pretty good doco about it called Searching for Sugar man.
Love it when *best* is trucked out. Woof, if this is the best then I guess you either haven't seen many rock movies or you're just very biased towards this one. But, hey, fun movie anyway.
My hands arent down, although Ive loved this movie for a long time, there are many more that could be considered the best. Everyone has their opinions, as is allowed.
For s song that's 35 years old from an obscure but fabulous movie, this video is sure popping off. The movie might not have even made it to VHS in the day. Now look at it!!
The end when he told the whole world that he is Eddie Wilson that was powerful and classic way to tell everyone that you never died. Classic movie classic .
Grew up on this movie. Loved the characters, loved the music, and even as a youngster totally got the story…also wanted to grow up and marry an Eddie… still waiting 😂🎉
awesome movie, John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band were tops, saw them many times in the Boston and Cape Cod area in the late 70s. doing the college circuit and small clubs. always a great show
John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band wrote awesome music for these movies. And my hat is off to Michael Pare for his performance as Eddie Wilson in both films. He was also good in Streets of Fire.
Well there is some B level acting in a lot of it so let's not get too hyped. The music is great, lead actor is solid, the rest of the cast--it's up and down, a bit rocky, nothing over the top or bad but just--you know, middle of the road. It's alright. Movies are fun but don't think I'm putting them on any kind of pedestal.
the actor playing eddie really sold it. the singing matches his voice and character. first time i watched it i had no idea he was lip syncing. then the album came out and i thought who are these guys ? lol!
love both movies so much. the first band in part one had his heart but couldn't get the music he wanted done. the band in part 2 is the band Eddie needed
He sing his hole song by heart created his own and made his movies so I say both parts and at the end he played best one and that he was eddie himself to the band with his friends.😊
Only thing wrong in this movie is eddie and his band don't kick the snot out of the record company guy. Talk to any musician, they will tell you there is no lower form of life than record conpany ppl.
Yes I heard and saw John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band at the York College in York, Pa. Just after the movie came out they were definitely kick ass!
For ANYONE who knows these films, their stories and the actual singer/group performing this music, keep this IRONY in-mind: Michael Pare' lip-sync expressions vs John Cafferty's almost EXPRESSIONLESS singing style. Point-being that Pare' exerted and strained his words while NOT singing while Cafferty's voice is ALL that we ever hear while in the video for 'On the Darkside', the guy looks like some creepy ASMR host. 🤤😣😎🤣
at least in THAT THING YOU DO, Director Tom Hanks had the band's cast members practice for weeks prior to filming. they played and sang their own music in the film. allowed it to sound much more authentic.
let's take a moment and thank the real band that played and wrote the music for both movies. The great John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band.
Huzzah!!!
Yup, seen them at Penns Peak. Great guys, they came out into the crowd and played in front of us and I also met the Sax player. Such a memorable night out in Pennsylvania. John and the band were terrific.
Double ditto!
John cafferty and the beaver Brown band wow

Has been for me.
This is the most 80's thing that ever 80'd.
Yep, mix in roadhouse, dirty dancing, back to school and put in a time capsule. Cheers!
😅😅😅😅
2024....still love these movies !!!
One of the best movie endings..John Cafferty also was one of the most underrated bands. Great music
Cafferty and Band needs to be in R&R HOF
Cafferty should've made it. Eddie and the Cruisers only gave then some attention.
I never get tired of this movie!
Me neither 😊
Very underrated films (movies) and the music is brilliant

I loved both of them!
Hands down - best rock-n-rool movie ever made! Music absolutely OUTSTANDING!!!!!
@thehidden absolutely right
Absolutely!

My hands arent down, although Ive loved this movie for a long time, there are many more that could be considered the best. Everyone has their opinions, as is allowed.
And me Im Eddie Wilson That was one of the best if not the best lines in the movie Rock on Eddie we love you
Without a doubt😂😊
And after the build-up of Eddie Wilson throughout the movie they are the opening act?
Agreed.👏👏👏👏👏👏
My husband and I were at the
bon Jovi concert when they did this scene in the middle of the concert in Vegas. That was at the Mac center in Vegas.
Cool
For s song that's 35 years old from an obscure but fabulous movie, this video is sure popping off. The movie might not have even made it to VHS in the day. Now look at it!!
I love this movie
It was on TV at least once a month
The end when he told the whole world that he is Eddie Wilson that was powerful and classic way to tell everyone that you never died. Classic movie classic .
Next step is sue Rick Eisen for the Season in He(( album monies.
Then roll off some bridge and end up in Mexico somewhere.
Holy chocolate balls, this scene was soooooo cool! Awesome music and Michael Pare is smoking’ 😁👌🏻🥰
I love both movies but I love the ending scene from the first Eddie and the cruisers movie, this one the ending was great also ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥
The songs from these movies live rent free in my head
Electric scene from a GREAT MOVIE! Thanks so much!
Grew up on this movie. Loved the characters, loved the music, and even as a youngster totally got the story…also wanted to grow up and marry an Eddie… still waiting 😂🎉
I saw the band at a very small college in Western NY about 40 years ago. My first concert. They were absolutely fantastic!!!!
This still gives me shivers. 😊
These movies make me miss my brother so much RIP brother he passed from COVID
My condolences.
but we cannot forget Mr. Pare for making this movie happen.
My first blue eye love!!!!
Talk about getting the right guy for the role. GOAT
And John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown band
Michael Pare, what a handsome guy!!
He was in greatest American hero
Music lives forever.
And i"m Eddie Wilson_______------ the pause in the crowd while they process who is singing > GREAT
Love this movie!
awesome movie, John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band were tops, saw them many times in the Boston and Cape Cod area in the late 70s. doing the college circuit and small clubs. always a great show
Two favorite music movies:
Eddie and the Cruisers and The Commitments.
Best movie! Awesome sound track!!!
Perfect!!!
Best movie ever!!
This guy was a warrior.
John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band wrote awesome music for these movies. And my hat is off to Michael Pare for his performance as Eddie Wilson in both films. He was also good in Streets of Fire.
they were the opening act, imagine having to follow that
Both Eddie and the Cruisers movies are vastly underrated. It's too bad they were more interested in selling the soundtrack than promoting the movie.
Well there is some B level acting in a lot of it so let's not get too hyped. Great movie great music
the actor playing eddie really sold it. the singing matches his voice and character. first time i watched it i had no idea he was lip syncing. then the album came out and i thought who are these guys ? lol!
Still have my cassettes of the soundtracks, and the VHS tapes.
After eddie reveled himself that's when they should have played on the dark side
Facts!
Good point. Thing is, by this point in his career and life, he'd moved on from that. He and his music had evolved to what we see in this movie.
One of the best movies ever made.
i just re-watch both movies.. i agree
Without Michael Pare's great performance in # 1& 2, these movies wouldn't have been half as good.😁
love both movies so much. the first band in part one had his heart but couldn't get the music he wanted done. the band in part 2 is the band Eddie needed
very well said.
They need to make a part 3!!!!!
Can you imagine a real life situation. The MASSIVE NEWS EPLOSION and wanting the interviews
I want to know what happened after. What was going on in the news 😂
Yes love alot
Eddie lives❤
Took me awhile to recognize the first film was ALL about...The Day the Music, DIED
Hence..."I won't shortcut the MUSIC!"
I love both movies
great actor also
He sing his hole song by heart created his own and made his movies so I say both parts and at the end he played best one and that he was eddie himself to the band with his friends.😊
Great
This music I like ever in the hits.😊
I noticed the stage they're performing on is bon jovi's new jersey stage.
I had a friend who worked on this movie. This was filmed at the Thomas and mack arena in Vegas, before a bon Jovi concert. Good eye!!!
I was about to comment on that too. I remember at the end of the movie credits, it said thanks to Bon Jovi.
Hearing the Eddie chants remind me of the late great Eddie Guerrero
Ok on big John cafferty and the Beaver Brown band were not given enough accolades!!! Fantastic, then and still!!!!
August 2024 ❤
A classic
... and me, I'm Eddie Wilson!
He had it
we'll happened to them? good music.
John Cafferty's voice actual fits well over Michael Pare's voice.
wow
Just imagine how good the song would be if Toby Tyler was still in the band
It's too bad they didn't incorporate him back into the sequel. That would have been epic!
Yes, im using you eddie .. and no i had no idea a version of you is married to me🤣 so, all people for this movie and outside are not going to live😂😂😂😂
It’s funny watching Quinn strumming his base instead of plucking. Did nobody in production notice? 😂
loved how they used depp leppard audiance shots
Only thing wrong in this movie is eddie and his band don't kick the snot out of the record company guy. Talk to any musician, they will tell you there is no lower form of life than record conpany ppl.
Personally, I think he should have said, (because of all the 'Eddie Wilson-look-alike contests) "I'm the real Eddie Wilson."
The movies are incredibly cheesy and cliched. And they're incredibly fun and awesome . 😎😎😎😎
I love Micheal pere.
I’ve always wondered what happened afterwards.
Who owns the rights to the lost tapes? Royalties. 😂
The two greatest rock and roll movies of all time Eddie and the Cruisers Part 2 and Streets of Fire
Fantastic!!!!❤😂😊
Wasn't there talks about a 3rd movie or something
Without the real artists John Caffery and the Beaver Brown Band this movie would be terrrrrrible.
😮
Michael pay Ray really sells it
John Cafferty, who was the voice of Eddie Wilson, is a great musician. Him and Bruce Springsteen were pretty much similar styles.
Cafferty was so much better…
Yes I heard and saw John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band at the York College in York, Pa. Just after the movie came out they were definitely kick ass!
Man was jjjaaaccckkkeeeddd
Only thing in the 80's is cowboy nation🎉
Awesome movie but imagine if that happened in real life later ... the law would soo be after you for faking your own death 😂 but again awesome movie
Yeah especially the IRS for not paying taxes even though he was living in Canada
Michael was also in the Greatest American Hero
That animation is pretty good...for the time.
The girlfriend looks just like gina davis
I agree with the other comments the d game. No doubt give credit where credit is due
The best part is me I am eddie Wilson
What the hell happened to America? Missed times..😢
At the Montreal forum sweeeert
This was filmed at the Thomas and mack in Las Vegas. They appeared before bon Jovi concert
My resources told me that stage was Bon Jovi's stage when this scene was made.
Yep. New Jersey Tour
Dangit... I don't have any resources. I WANT SOME RESOURCES!
@@0megacron It's Called Wikipedia 😂
@@stevezisk3415 I believe it was a joke and a good one at that
@@0megacron watch the credits Eddie lives and in the credits it will tell you it was during bon Jovi's tour
someone needs to tell the guy pretending to play the base that you dont strum them.
They never should have made a part 2. Theres just certain movies you shouldnt do sequels to . This was one of them.
It's not that bad actually. It gives Eddie the ending he deserved.
before the bon jovi concert
When I see Replies, All I see is Rep Lies
Should have been: I'M...Eddie Wilson.

Rick is so off beat when they first start snapping... He's trying so hard to find a rythym...
Shame they didn't choreograph the instruments to match the music, at the start it's clear Rick Diesel isn't playing the lead right
Relax. You'll enjoy life more.
bro its a movie relax
And Rick Diesel is a real person.....played by someone!
Yeah but would look incredible if they had matched the music. Breaks the immersion if you look closely.
@@kevinetherington570 played by the actual real band member duh
I would never f****** eat Kraft mayonnaise it is only Duke for Amanda or Hellman's if they're out of Duke but that's only because Duke makes Hellman's
The black guy wearing the leather pants. Come on man what is that? Lol
Ummm era accurate ?
at least in THAT THING YOU DO, Director Tom Hanks had the band's cast members practice for weeks prior to filming. they played and sang their own music in the film. allowed it to sound much more authentic.
They did not sing their own music, smh
Must have been hard learning one song
That movie sucked.
It reminds me of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band. I can’t stand them.
So New Jersey 😂
