Perfect, glad the video helped. I try to make videos for all different levels of experience. If it saved you time and money, that's what i make these videos for. Don't forget to subscribe we have more videos on the Passport that may be helpful.
Glad I found your channel and thanks for the videos. Myself I would not use Fram filters unless as a last resort in my cars but to each his own...I've always preached you can never go wrong with OEM parts.
A lot of people look down on fram and that's ok. I always used them and never had a problem. I'm going to start switching over to Wix filters they look to be made better. The oem on these is made by the company that owns fram and they basically the same filter with a different o-ring. Here is the link to the video we did on looking at the internals of these filters about 6 months ago. Thanks for the comment. Hopefully, you subscribed to our channel. We have a playlist set up for this vehicle with more videos. ua-cam.com/video/wVXrC_9lTvY/v-deo.html
Glad the video helped, surprisingly Honda engineering doesn't change much year to year. They figure out a way that works and stick with it for a long time. If there is a problem they improve it.
Great video! As I was watching and you got to the cabin air filter I noticed you never said the direction of the filter placement. I noticed that the video was edited to correct that. Thank you!
Thank you for posting. I bought a brand new 2023 Honda Passport Elite. Love it! Shocking how useless the owners manual is. Can't find a shop manual anywhere. The dealer keeps saying only come in when the "Maintenance Minder" light comes on. What a scam. They want you to pay inflated prices for parts and service. The "Maintenance Minder" is bullshit. I like to do all maintenance by mileage, time and wear. There is almost no information online about regular maintenance intervals. Your channel is great. Post more about the Honda Passport. Subscribed.
Thanks for the compliment and subscribing. We will do more work on this vehicle as it comes due. We have already set up a playlist for it, make sure to check that out for anything you may need.
Thanks but you should've warned us that getting the cover back into the 2 sleeves at the back would be a fight. I started to think that OEM filter I got was the wrong one until I put the old one back in & saw that it was the same.
That's strange it shouldn't have been a fight. That would mean the filter is slightly too big or in wrong. If you got the cover back on it should be fine though.
They last for 1 million miles. Approx every 100k miles, you clean them and re-oil them and put it back in. I like them, try to use them when i can. They are about the cost of 2 air filters and cleaner cost about as much as 1 air filter. Some say you gain a little hp with them but if you do it is so small you won't feel it.
Thank you so much for this! Super easy follow for a first timer and female with NO experience!

Any advantage to this K & N air filter or just an aftermarket equivalent?

👍👍👍👍👍
What type of engine does this suv have
3.5L V6
KN filters do a poor job.
That's one of those endless debates i won't fight over. I like them, they generally act poorly when they are dirty like any filter would.
