- I go through installing and a brief setting up of CarWebGuru on XTRONS andoid head unit in my Audi TT MK2.
Had slight issues getting the icons to change on one of the skins but managed to get it saved and working on another standard preloaded theme.
The irony of setting up shortcuts taking so long! 😂
Looks like a great unit though - I might have to consider a swap, but I’m only 4days in with mine so still feeling my way

Hey fella it's a nice launcher. Radiogram is great so many stations on, it just becomes an issue if data signal is poor. Cheers
Hey mate. Great video and I do believe I saw another one of your videos where you're using either Carwebguru or Agama where the stitching around the main central circle turns red as you increase the volume from the MFSW and turns a white colour as you decrease it. I can't get this feature to work. Was it this launcher you managed to do it with or Agama?

Well this appears to be a great launcher if you don't ever want to use the built in AM FM tuner that is... You can only access the native FM tuner if you have hard buttons. No access to native FM tuner if you only have touch screen.
tried an install but when I run it all I get is a brief flash of the home page then a screen saying "don't watch Video while driving" any ideas
Hello I've just installed a xtron unit in my TT . Just incase anyone is having a problem with sound being to quite on theirs in the settings menu ,under advance settings were you put the 126 code there is a page that says other in the list it says amp volume change it to 0 mine is great now it was set on -15 hope this helps
How did you enable rds in your tuner
How's that radio holding up? How long have you had it installed? Should I get one or just get a pioneer radio? Thanks for your help
hi jerry its great i do still have the same head unit installed. only gripe i have is it seems to only have 1 receiver and not multiple so its changing frequencies depending on signal strength so the radio gets interrupted. depending on where you live you may not get the same issue. i just stream music and radio to get around this small issue.
Track up and down selection on steering wheel stops working after working initially after install. Controls work on other music players so i think it’s a glitch with the carwebguru launcher. It’s a shame cuz that’s the only reason I deleted it.
Hi I noticed that my radio has Bluetooth music icon but when I use this widget and I go to my apps it’s not there. Any idea. I can’t connect my phone to play music. Thx

Hey mate could you made it work playing music and at the same time map navigation running.
When ever I play music on dab and press home to turn on satnav it turn of the running program.
Hi. Not sure why you have this problem I can play amazon music or radio with satnav at same time and change programs without either cutting out. Maybe it's to do with dab? I have normal fm radio
How do you get your internet connection? Do you just hotspot when you get in the car?
Hi, yes I just turn hot-spot on before I get in the car. Have tried setting macros to auto enable hot-spot on and off but I cannot get those to work. Also bought some nfc tags but again seem to have problems getting them to control hot-spot service.
@@umiya6809 Download MacroDroid and set up a macro to enable WiFi Hotspot when bluetooth connects to the headunit. Works like a charm for me.

Hi. Have to figured out how to get navigation on the center of main screen where u tap find different options like current speed ,music,navigation. I’m unable to find that option in google maps as well as in CWG settings . I’ll be grateful if you can pls help so I could able to see navigation directions in the center of the main screen. Thanks

Hi, thanks for the video. Apologies if its a stupid question but when the head unit uses the internet (namely Spotify and Maps) is it using data from the phone connected? I basically just want a unit that will connect via bluetooth and play music (already downloaded on my phone) and to have its own sat nav maps system even if my phone isn't connected. I'm just worried it'll eat my data if I use it.
Hi Tom yes it will use data on your phone unless you save your music onto the head unit or sd card. As for maps I've never used it withouty hot-spot. You might be able to download the offline maps and use it that way but I've never tried this sorry.
@@umiya6809 Tom Broderick ... You can ask Waze to download the traffic information on the Android phone before you start your trip. Waze can download an offline copy of the current traffic information while you perform this. Before you start, make sure your device connected to the Internet. ... Go to Waze Settings > Advanced Settings > Data transfer. But to use Waze (or other Maps) you need wifi (or Hotspot) from your phone to get real time information.
Anyone get Waze crashing on this unit with this theme?
I cant get anything to work through the carguru spotify etc its playing but no sound altho there is sound through the radio
Nice review and nice car launcher, when you turn off the car would it revert to the original car launcher? Coz mine does
Depending on manufacturer, there's a homescreen choice in the settings menu of the launcher that came in the head unit. Choose the one that most looks like CarWebGuru or whichever launcher you are trying to assign to the homescteen and the default launcher...which will appear also once boot sequence completes
..likely in the general section.
At the start of the video 2:50 where you select the launcher the option was to ‘use launcher once only’ or as default - I suspected that’s the issue?

Looks like it's running same software I have.. are you finding you always have to turn wifi on? Or is it turning on by itself? If you know a fix let me know
My WiFi connects automatically as long as I have my phone hot-spot on before I start the car. If I put key in first then turn on hot-spot I then have to manually connect to my phone.

Hi its just the standard Bluetooth that came loaded on the stereo. For music I use UA-cam premium. What stereo are you using?
@@umiya6809 i use one that looks like yours but for my car. In the original interface i have a Bluetooth music app but i can't see it on Carwebguru. So I cant add it. Can you think on a solution?

What a great launcher. I have one issue though. Whenever I play my radio and then go home, the radio stops. How can I get the radio to keep playing while not actually on the radio app?
Jason did u ever figure that out cuz I am lookin for answers to the same question they have a widget for that and Apple Music but when u go to the Home Screen both stop smh why have a Speedo on the Home Screen if u can’t use it while on the home page lemme know if u ever found out how to change this
@@RobertJohnson-vo2xn I never figured it out. I ended up switching to Agama Launcher. Not as pretty, but MUCH more stable. I love it.Try it out.
Yeah ima check it out I figured out the Apple Music but guess the radio is a factory mess up cuz I seen a lot of comments talking about that
@@RobertJohnson-vo2xn Yes. A lot of these cheap android chinese radios are very glitchy and poorly made (still worth the price though, imho). Apparently, the bluetooth chip and the radio chip are not really part of the android platform, but talk to the android layer through some hackery. That is why on many of these units (like mine) the EQ has no effect on bluetooth and fm radio audio. Only music and videos played within the Android layer.
