I couldn't get what you mean, but the proposed floor lift could also have fixed hing near bed allowing it to swing for user to move them self between bed and wheelchair. Off course transferring patients from bed to another or to stretcher or operating table must be done with assistance.
I also wonder if it is available to anyone in need. It is a Godsend and a blessing to anyone seeking to be more independent at home along with their caregiver. I wonder if most insurance companies will cover it?
@@k.de.3838 I know that it is available in Canada as my friend had it in her apartment. I don't know about here in the states but I am assuming it would be. I would like to know the cost. In Canada because of their national medical system, they paid for it.
What I want to know is does this equipment hurt below your arms 'there has to be a great deal of pressure applied to hold your whole body up I know the actors are smiling and it looks effortless some not even holding onto the item at all ''but what about the real world 'everyday use
The concept of suspension is essential and fine; but the elements of ceiling tracks and unassisted electric motorized controls are highly risky and totally impractical. It is much reliable and helpful and affordable to develop A-shaped rollators by adding suspension mechanism and a light-weight hand chain hoist. Another different C-shaped aid is needed for moving patients from and to bed. A parachute safety vest for rollators plus a bed lifting mesh are needed.
I just suggest to make a mechanical hoist mounted on a ground frame with wheels instead of the ceiling tracks and electrical hoist. This shall avoid loading a pair of bolts, ceiling, and tracks with about 200 kg and vibrations at any single point. The starting point could be a full height suspension rollator with safety vest. With this design as a starting point: cdn.nexternal.com/adaptlife/images/Maxi-Move_f1.jpg But I recommend to make it with lifting 4-points instead of a single one. It shall be used with underneath safety cargo web

How do they check if your ceiling is even strong enough for this? I weigh 200 lbs.
if u have plaster over slats in your ceiling, probably not strong enough
where can someone get this?
And what happens if it breaks down while you are using it on your own?
What is the cost of this
How much does this cost
Tarig Anter, non of those floor lifts enable user to move them self. It's hard to get them under medical equipment.
