@@Taravat76 Yes I read it - it helps you make a 'closed' to do list, one that you can actually finish. It was such a relieve for me to finally finish to do lists, instead of always chipping away, doing my best every day but... never succeeding.
Scott Peck said, "Discipline is postponement of gratification". Point No 1 is absolutely right. Started using To Do in MS365. It us a tool that can be helpful in "brain dumping" as it organised tasks in to a set of lists. Meditation is no brainer. Superb points. Well structured advice.

Your videos are currently what my life is like at the moment, trying to get task done without being overwhelmed with crap. I like writing down my task it really helps, I been doing it for awhile now but it's cool to see you give a different perspective of it. Trying to start my business and also handle my personal life stuff!! It can be stressful but taking stuff one thing at a time helps, and being organized!
1. Graduated stimulation 2. Brain dumping - to do list -> Organize it with Eizenhower concept->Urgent/Important/Noturgent/Not important 3. Consiousness/Mindfullness
I like how you explain things. People always said "schedule your to do-list" but I always can't see the benefit or the function of it, as at the end of the day i'll tend to stray away from it. But now I can see and realize how important it is. This truly help me so much. Thank you for the great content.
This video is the combination of " EAT THAT FROG " and " ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING". Thanks for summarizing them for those who don't read books. In case you don't know these two books you have missed the most productive book of all time.
writing unrelated things that entered my mind while doing my actions really helps! It gets an outlet and lets me be reminded that "okay, im gonna go back to you again, but right now is not the right time to think about yo"
I found your channel looking for answers on how to get out of a rut... and now I’m ignoring all the fantastic info and tips, to binge all your videos instead... and yet I still feel like I’m accomplishing so much more than before 🙌
At the start when he talks about everything ' clicking ' I think this feeling is the ability to be focused on one thing , e.g focusing on improving your life and nothing else taking you away from this goal. Plus I think it's good of you always have a reason for your actions it gives clarity because you always know why your doing something and it's harder to lose yourself
I’m trying your tips from the video about being tired. Can’t say I’m doing everything you pointed out as I read before bed from my phone and other stuff that might contradict my fight for rest. I am only 3 days in and I never thought it could get any better. My mental health fucked up my sleep and then no matter how much I slept, I would always feel tired, and that even made it harder to be mentally stable, like a cycle. I decided it was time to change as restlessness was taking over my life, I couldn’t even walk inside my house and I would get sleepy right after breakfast. I’m trying the coffee technique you explained in your video, also the sleep window, the room ambience, etc. And it’s going pretty well so far. Might try what you present in this video, but what I really wanna say is thank you for making these. ❣️
1) Gradual stimulation - Ok doing that already 2) Brain dumping - I Dont get the Eisenhower matrix since everything urgent to me is automatically important.. So instead im using my ZENKIT TO-DO (app and web) , and unloading all of my tasks, subtasks, ideas and links there... It helps me tremendously and its all nicely organised. It even shows me a progress bar for each main task. 3) Mindfulness - Absolutely impossible to me.. Im an Aspie and I have invasive unwilling microsleeps, and bursts of insanely detailed bizzare thoughts and impossible and unnecessary scenarios in my head but often times ideas pop that might be helpful in some situations... Sometimes they are literal lifesavers, other times there are procrastination of the highest order.
Just bought a whiteboard the other day and wrote down expenses, $$ set aside for bills, a to do list and workout schedule/routine and I feel I can focus 10x better now. Such a relief, like you said, you just throw it all out.
Gradually climbing the stimulation ladder is key. I’ve found doing the tedious, boring but necessary stuff first thing makes the rest of the day much more enjoyable and productive.

I've found out that moving more throughout the day has reduced my tiredness. For example, if I'm at home and I'm going to write for a little too long then I stand and move from time to time as well as lift weights/exercise. Like they say if u put in the work u get something in return. In this case more energy the next day. Who would've known hahaha.
thank you so much, this made me write down every single school related task down and I'm now doing them 1 by 1 every day. this really refreshed my brain, or that's how I felt it :)
During the lockdown i had started procrastinating things again and it was getting worse till i decided im not letting myself fall back into those patterns. During this battle against my slacker self i had started writing things down on a notepad so i dont forget things and instantly my anxiety started getting better and boy its so satisfying crossing things off that list.
Brain dumping came naturally to me years ago when I was watching Harry Potter when Dumbledore was pulling memories out of his head and putting them into jars to save for later viewing in the pensieve. I had so much shit going on in my head as a 15 year old that it looked like pulling memories from my head would relieve pressure. So I decided to just write whatever was on my mind, being 100% honest and not hiding any details from myself. It was extremely helpful and I've been doing it even more recently.
Anyone else find that writing down all there thoughts and looking back at them say a week later or even a month later and seeing how much you’ve actually achieved so satisfying
YES! This guy knows what he’s talking about. I came up with my own names/words for these things and have been practicing them for about 6 months now. They 100% help!
The problem is that we consume a lot of videos such as this one, but at the end of the day, we forget it and we continue with our habitual cycle. Watching these videos can be extremely helpful but we end up by letting our brain think that self help videos are a part of every day UA-cam videos. And the loop continues. We get a hit to do the right thing and change our life, but we never stick to it.
Don't remember why I stopped watching your videos all so suddenly, huge mistake. I am reminded of your personality that I absolutely love, especially with the content you share. Thanks so much for taking the time to make these videos!
I love the concept of "graduate stimulation." I've been hiding my phone so I don't check it first thing in the morning. Also only allow myself to check social media and phone 2-3 times a day in one time block. Brain dump is also awesome!
The brain dumping - can’t express how much that resonates with me! The physical list is definitely what I need, unfortunately when I come to write it I get severe perfectionist paralysis to do the most effective, strategic list of what I need to do in my life, which then adds to the brain fog and leaves me overwhelmed, then the list sticks and stagnates in my brain. But literally the idea of of just dumping it - no system, no strategy, no pressure, just in any order the thoughts come, feels so much lighter and easier to tackle! In fact, I’m about to do it right now. Thank you for smashing this mental boulder I’ve had for a while 😁
I think we all agree upon wrinting things down. As the man says, it tells you what's first and what's later, you don't live with anxiety, fear or stress about the things you have or want to do thinking when it's the right time to do it, you just planned it and then do it when it's time, that's all! This is the most important part of the tips, and I don't think writing things down digitally like in your phone will help because then you will be overwhelmed by the apps you have in your phone and then later forget about it. Rather just keep a notebook (a journal if possible) where you can put it all in, your thoughts, tasks, information about certain stuff etc... I'll do this now on, it will be life changing I bet
I need this so bad right now. I wake up and have ny tes while binging youtube. Its something I need to let go of. I have started walking my doggie without media that has helped. Thanks Joey
I love your accent, as a Spanish I am it gets super crystal clear to understand every sentence you say. Love your content! Thanks for sharing your reflections!
"do the number one difficult thing first in the day" it works for SOME people. If you have problems with initiation or transitioning between activities, it may be better to do an easier task first to conquer the inertia problem (my biggest struggle is just STARTING so if I know it doesn't matter if I fail or not, it's easier for me to begin to do the thing). Keeping a gradual increase/decrease of dopamine in your tasks is still important, so transition into your harder activity as you feel works best, but yeah - keep in mind that you may be different and THAT IS VALID. You are valid.
What I've found that really helps with organisation, structure and productivity as well as mental clarity. I wake up in the morning and open my book of to do lists, every page is a new day, I write what things I need to get done through the day (being through in this) and as the day goes by whatever tasks I have completed, as little as they may be, gets highlighted in green. After the day has ended I come back to my to do list and any tasks which have not been filled out gets highlighted in red. I feel as if the colors help you see what you may be prioritisng and how productive you are being at the end of each day. It's also an incentive to want to have a whole page full of greens, compared to the previous day in which you had one red task which annoyed you. The visualisation of the two colours also has an indirect effect on your brain green being "good" red being "bad. You could also calculate your productivity throughout the day and see whether it's increasing or decreasing.
In addition to your awesome advice, I really like how you don't take yourself too seriously. I think a lot of productivity gurus are really annoying and corny and even unrealistic in their advice on how to be productive every waking moment of life. Also, I'm typing this while I'm procrastinating doing this work I hate doing. So.
Things i am carrying around for months, so many stuff that i am overwhelmed, dont know where to start. I lost control over my life. Then i found this youtube channel, especially this video. I got a notepad for christmas and will make a list now. Step by step i want to get control back, until the day when there is nothing to worry about. And then i am free. I hope my list doesnt grow faster than i can finish the first steps. yes, my brain is always worried "what if xyz happens and i fall back further". My brain fog is like beeing in the darkest night with just a few matches to bring a little light, and they burn out really fast. Wish me luck to turn the sun back on

Man, I'll be honest, I've been following you for no more than a bunch of days but you're really helping me out! I've never been a self-improvement kind of guy, yet just listening to your videos has some sort of calming effect on my brain and is really motivating me to workout and actually do something with my life, so thank you!
Every time I watch your videos, I get like a two-hour window of motivation. Please make videos every two hours so I can ride this wave of productiveness.
This dudes production value has gotten insanely better and better in 2020
1. Graduated stimulation
2. Brain dumping - to do list -> Organize it with Eizenhower concept->Urgent/Important/Noturgent/Not important
3. Consiousness/Mindfullness
Thanks for your effort .. the channel content is great👌
Why I just see your channel !? too much superb information. THANK YOU💙
Thank you so much for always giving us REAL advice, and not just things that we hear 430929 times before. Life changing !!
I like how you explain things. People always said "schedule your to do-list" but I always can't see the benefit or the function of it, as at the end of the day i'll tend to stray away from it. But now I can see and realize how important it is. This truly help me so much. Thank you for the great content.
"Put your anxiety in a paper" is probably one of the best things that have been told to me hahaha. Thank you!! =)
The most important thing I love about your videos is that they are honest..Not some hypothetical self helps hacks.
This video is the combination of " EAT THAT FROG " and " ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING". Thanks for summarizing them for those who don't read books. In case you don't know these two books you have missed the most productive book of all time.
The man who wrote "Eat that frog" is actually my uncle... fun fact
writing unrelated things that entered my mind while doing my actions really helps! It gets an outlet and lets me be reminded that "okay, im gonna go back to you again, but right now is not the right time to think about yo"
I found your channel looking for answers on how to get out of a rut... and now I’m ignoring all the fantastic info and tips, to binge all your videos instead... and yet I still feel like I’m accomplishing so much more than before 🙌
Writing things down changed my life for the better
Needed this my mind has been fogged recently
At the start when he talks about everything ' clicking ' I think this feeling is the ability to be focused on one thing , e.g focusing on improving your life and nothing else taking you away from this goal. Plus I think it's good of you always have a reason for your actions it gives clarity because you always know why your doing something and it's harder to lose yourself
I also recommend the book: The Power of Full Engagement.
My permit test is tomorrow morning, and here I am browsing the internet while eating candy. This video came out at the perfect time
Good luck! 🍀🍀🍀
Good luck! 🍀
Good lucky, it's mostly common sense
So how'd it go?
Turned out to be pretty easy lol, thanks guys
1) Gradual stimulation - Ok doing that already
2) Brain dumping - I Dont get the Eisenhower matrix since everything urgent to me is automatically important..
Use Getting Things done (GTD) method - that book changed my life
Just bought a whiteboard the other day and wrote down expenses, $$ set aside for bills, a to do list and workout schedule/routine and I feel I can focus 10x better now. Such a relief, like you said, you just throw it all out.

Lol love this meme on the comments
Lmao
I dont get it
Gradually climbing the stimulation ladder is key. I’ve found doing the tedious, boring but necessary stuff first thing makes the rest of the day much more enjoyable and productive.

1:14 humour like this is why I subscribed! You are funny, genuine and real. you do not talk down to your viewers and you do not talk yourself up but share your experience and what works for you in a very encouraging way. Thank you!
You are 24???? You are so mature, i thought you were at least 30
Im 25 and I feel like a stupid child
I've found out that moving more throughout the day has reduced my tiredness. For example, if I'm at home and I'm going to write for a little too long then I stand and move from time to time as well as lift weights/exercise. Like they say if u put in the work u get something in return. In this case more energy the next day. Who would've known hahaha.
The Brain Dump combined with the Eisenhower Matrix is excellent.
Couldn't agree more with point 1. I've recently banned myself from games, UA-cam, Facebook etc. before lunch and I've been enjoying my days far more.
But ur on UA-cam rn....
thank you so much, this made me write down every single school related task down and I'm now doing them 1 by 1 every day. this really refreshed my brain, or that's how I felt it :)
"Your life's a mess"
I feel so attacked 😂
Hahaha.. Not bad😁
Whoa whoa whoa, last I checked, you were at 300k subs?? Wth is this with the 1M+? Congratulations man!
The problem is that we consume a lot of videos such as this one, but at the end of the day, we forget it and we continue with our habitual cycle. Watching these videos can be extremely helpful but we end up by letting our brain think that self help videos are a part of every day UA-cam videos.
And the loop continues.
We get a hit to do the right thing and change our life, but we never stick to it.
so the short version: breaking your habits of dopamin injection
that’s only the first one
I love how you arent super serious in your videos as much and you get to add a bit of comedy in yourself and your editing style!!

I love the concept of "graduate stimulation." I've been hiding my phone so I don't check it first thing in the morning. Also only allow myself to check social media and phone 2-3 times a day in one time block. Brain dump is also awesome!
Would like to add my 2 cents:
4) NoFap (EXTREMELY helpful, at least for a month, the more the better)
5) Eat less
*Eat better, not exactly less
@@allgameriot1291 for some people like me it's both lol I cant stop eating unhealthy snacks throughout the day

@@allgameriot1291 yea tbh I don’t eat enough and it definitely hinders my ability to be productive
Thank you for smashing this mental boulder I’ve had for a while 😁
Who needs school when there are endless awesome creators like you ❤
I think we all agree upon wrinting things down.
Make a video on what to do when you don't know what to do in life.
I need this so bad right now. I wake up and have ny tes while binging youtube. Its something I need to let go of. I have started walking my doggie without media that has helped. Thanks Joey

I like Mark Twain’s idea of “eating the frog.” Similar to the ideas here.
“Sling my words... onto them” 😂
You were actually fully present in the moment. You weren't thinking or interpreting what you were experiencing, you were just experiencing it.
A legit just woke up, still on my bed with my phone watching yt videos.. and im hungry.. bruh
That shit sucks happens to me sometimes
In addition to your awesome advice, I really like how you don't take yourself too seriously. I think a lot of productivity gurus are really annoying and corny and even unrealistic in their advice on how to be productive every waking moment of life. Also, I'm typing this while I'm procrastinating doing this work I hate doing. So.
Is it just me or this dude looks and sounds like Luke from Modern Family
