To all who know & watch Star Trek: The Next Generation you will hear & see this song being sung in the second part of the episode called "Birthright". It's a catchy tune to sing along to.
P.S. Try the boQwi' app As well as the Fly Jam multi language translator app. boQwi' is a massive help with vocabulary, syntax, pronunciation (there is a Klingon text-to-speech plugin as well which is essential for speaking it properly) There is also an ASK Keyboard plug-in once you learn the Klingon alphabet, but i have yet to find one that actually types it in messaging. ): (Like this) 日本語 ㅇ로ㅓㅓㄱ요ㅗ Русский חטעכגשרע
From what I understand, only the first two lines have any translation, and none of the rest correlates to anything in the official Klingon language. Even the first two lines don't translate correctly, so the whole song is essentially Klingon-esque gibberish. Personally I like to think of it as being such an old song that it's actually an older, "dead" dialect that is no longer used, but the translated lyrics still have meaning.
TOQ: I intend to, Tokath. But not until it's cooked. Today I learned the ritual hunt. But that is not all I learned. I discovered that warrior's blood runs in my veins. I do not know how or why, but we have forgotten ourselves. Our stories are not told, our songs are not sung. Tonight, as we came home, we sang a song of victory. A song known only to me as a lullaby. But it is a warrior's song. Bagh Da tuHmoh. Fire streaks the heavens. ChojaH Duh rHo. Battle has begun. Bagh Da tuHmoh. ChojaH Duh rHo. ylja'Qo' ylja'Qo' ylja'Qo. (others join in and I cannot be bothered to try and transcribe it all.) TOKATH: Ba'el. ALL: Ylja'Qo ylja'Qo! ylja'Qo!!
there's an attempt on klingon.wiki, but the assumed/possible translation is nonsense. i dunno if they even had the klingon language completed by then or if they just strung random klingon words together and came up with a translation on the fly.
