PeeWeeToms Hey Dan, I don’t know if this will help you, but I have something like cancer, with a ton of pain. I took everything, including morphine. The side effects were horrible. Finally they gave me a fentanyl patch. It’s a transdermal patch you place on your body, change it every 3 days. Besides relieving pain, there are NO side effects. The patch allows for constant delivery of medicine, unlike pills, which work better in the beginning, and fade at about the 3rd hour. Dan, with the patch, because there is no dizziness, upset stomach, tiredness, etc. I can have a higher dose than if it was pills. If you haven’t used this yet, please give it a try. It’s a prescription. I’m in the US. Hopefully they have it in England.
I hate seeing you in pain. You are such a sweet man. Please know you have a lot of people praying for you. Don’t worry about not posting a video. We all understand. Love, Pat

My heart broke when I heard SoFia passed away. May she rest in Paradise. It will always blow my mind how people can be so cruel, trolling away, saying horrific things, asking ridiculous questions, and challenging the authenticity regarding both of your illnesses. She will always be a massive inspiration to me as well. So are you Dan! I commend and applaud you for what you’re doing whilst fighting so valiantly for your life. You are making a huge difference in this world and it is my sincerest hope that people open their eyes to the many faces and facets of cancer. You are super courageous, strong, still manage to have a fantastic sense of humor and are beautiful. Please know many, any of us here truly love you and wish you only the very best. Keep fighting like the warrior you are and share with us what is comfortable for you. Sending massive love and prayers Dan. God bless you. Cindy from USA.

I stumbled across your channel and this happened for a reason. no coincidence. Dan, I am blown away by how you pull yourself together despite this horrific cancer beast!
My mother had stage 3 breast cancer and also looked very ok besides her hair. She has alopecia anyway and people thought it got worse and she's faking cancer. Comments were even worse when she bought a wig and she looked good due to her fighting spirit and unwavering faith and determination... She is 58 now and it will be 5 years in August since diagnosis and 3.5 years since remission. I can totally relate. She had 3 surgeries including removing lymph nodes and lymphedema is not fun. She had a year of chemo and 49 radiation treatments.
You remind me of her. When she lost her eyelashes and eyebrows she cosmetically added her own and it almost looked natural. She was so happy that she managed to maintain her dignity... she hated being pitied. She said it's worse than death...
Of course you don't vlog the vomit and no one knows how much you fight every day to get out of bed and make these blogs. Except for individuals that experienced it on their own skin ,or thier closest family that see them constantly. You are just so genuine that whoever doesn't see it you as real , is mentally or emotionally compromised. You are a discontinued number~ literally a rock star! Most people give up at this stage and succumb much quicker or stay in pajamas all day. But YOU Dan, are fighting. Attitude plays a huge role and a person succumbs almost immediately when they give up. I'm not saying to live in denial, but to try to stay hopeful. Doctors don't give life and can't predict life. studies have proven that patients that that even if a patient knows the real facts, if their oncologist remains open to positivity, have higher stats of patients that make it way beyond the average... I encourage people to ask about the severity and face their illness honestly, but why can't doctors be a bit more generous in regards to success??? They mostly tell you the worst statistics . I don't get why they give a person such a tight time frame and make the person believe it is set in stone. I know many people "that should've been dead several yrs ago as per medical stats" but are battling and are holding on to life. As long as a person is not confined to a bed with machines, NO ONE should take their hope away. Miracles do happen. Itvcan't hurt to hope for a miracle and extend your life expectancy in your head.
I have this feeling that you will "prove them wrong" and I hope to see you on mothers day 2019 still alive and kicking...
Sorry for long post, I feel that people should know this. I hope you see this, in any case others can gain strength and shift perspective !
Lots of prayers and love from Ny!!!

Dan, I know that you have passed 😪😪😪. However, you fought with every ounce of love that you gave and the love that so many other people gave to you! I truly believe we are all on this earth for such a short time but I also believe that we will come back in another form. I know you have been healed in Heaven too. No more lumps, bumps, pain, anguish, stomach aches....no, that is all gone now. But please Dan, if you can hear me, tell my mother, father and sister that I love them and will see them again too one day. For in life, we are all here but for a short time. And as a result, we must live each day to the fullest...which you certainly did. I know when you come down from Heaven, you will become a top, leading Oncologist, knowing how to treat this horrific disease. Much love and blessings! I was just thinking about Sophia. I've been following her channel for several years - before her channel was big. I loved seeing her act like a normal teenager - fangirling out at Justin Bieber concerts and freaking out at meeting Ed Sheeran. She had to grow up far too much in the last year - she knew far too much of pain and the unfairness of life than seemed decent.

Dan your such an inspiration and a blessing❤️❤️ you, Sophia and others who are vlogging their cancer journey are helping a lot of people, more than you’ll ever know. You’re bringing hope to the ones who are going through this, letting them know that they can fight, and you’re helping others to understand the challenges that a cancer patient faces everyday. When my dad had cancer there were so many times that he wanted to give up and I wouldn’t let him. I stayed in constant contact with his nurses and doctor and I would tell them what was going on and they helped me to keep him as positive as we could, that’s what kept him here as long as it did. You’re in my mind and heart everyday, as well as your parents. I wish I were close enough to give you all a big hug. God bless you Dan❤️🙏🏼💞💐🌷

Sofia's passing is such a hard one for me to comprehend too. But she was in so much pain.
Now she is free and happy. She was such a wonderful inspiration to me too. Her last few video's were so difficult to watch. Not only seeing cancer take over her body physically, but having to hear what nasty people have been saying to her. I have posted about this on your website, and talked about my experience with that, on my pages. And to see her have to deal with this, after watching her for years, was really difficult. I have followed her since the beginning. She also inspired me to vlog my journey too. Unfortunatly, I am finding it very difficult. She will having many people trying to follow in her footsteps like you and I . God bless to Sofia and her family. And God bless to you too Dan. You will always be in my prayers.

Love your garden and just listen to those birds! Beautiful. Sit there and breath in slowly, ( and carefully with your pleurisy ) and take pleasure in the scents, the sounds. The warmth of the sun and the coolness of a breeze. Take pleasure in the buzzing of a bee and smell of rain on dry ground. I know you’re ill. I’m so sorry. But take pleasure in using your senses, the softness of a new leaf or smell of a rose. The taste of something freshly grown. Feel alive Dan xxxx

Loosing your hair is a low priority in the grand scheme of things. You will get used to it. Dan the most important thing is that you continue to live your life to it fullest. I know your not feeling well but you must find ways to feel better. When I was really sick from chemo I took anti nasau pills, pain medication and also anti diarrhea medication all at once every day. I did everything possible to make it so I could still live my life. You must separate yourself from the cancer and get on with your life even if you situation is dire or terminal. I was given 1 year to live when I was first diagnosed with metastatic cancer, that was 8 years ago!!!. Since then I have travelled all over the world (even when I was not feeling so well) , I have completed many thing on my bucket list and just recently bought a motorcycle. My oncologist told me the cancer could take my life at any time, anything could happen. Instead I ignore that fact and live my life to it's fullest. Dan I need you to forget about the cancer and live your life too!!! Cheers bud!!

Please know that you are ABSOLUTELY an inspiration. I'm recovering from breast surgery at the moment. Thank God all went well. My oncologists have told me that it WILL be back. It's not a matter of if, but when and where. I don't live everyday thinking about it. I refuse. But when surgery is needed I'm on it. I continue to pray for you, your wonderful family, and friends. Peace and love to you my friend.

When I was going through my cancer journey, there were obviously lots of people I met on their own journey. One of them (more than one, but for this story..) was terminal, but went on a couple of years beyond what was predicted. Behind closed doors she struggled, but was strong publicly for her children and her children were bullied in school, because they had told people that their mum was dying, but she hadn't died yet. It was really horrible.xx

I have loved ones battling cancer and I find it so uplifting and inspiring to see you guys transcending your illness and doing the things that you love and not letting cancer beat you down. Courage is contagious and I'm so grateful for people like you, Sophia and Emily for spreading this message of hope. Thank You. R.I.P Sophia. X

Every day I wait for you to upload a video telling us that some groundbreaking cure or treatment has been found, and every day I feel sad when it doesn't happen. Please keep fighting my man. I want you to be a rare exception in terminal cancer statistics. Do not give into the statistics. Terminal cancer, however unlikely the odds, can be beaten. Wilko Johnson is living proof of that.

Yea sure, but you better not wait for the medical establishment to cure you. How many long term problems have doctors ever cured? Huh? Try none. Gotta do your own research and make decisions. You very well might live, but at least you'll die your own way.

Dan, Thats a great reason to start filming this. Its really sad reading the hate comments and people trolling on UA-camr's. They seem to try and find any dirt on people they can to start drama with people that enjoy filming there lives. I'm just a Automotive UA-camr, but last year I decided to start doing daily vlogs about my life and family. Over the past few months I've been getting attacked from trolls telling me I'm living above my means and whatever else they can drum up on me. Please keep filming your Journey Dan. Each time I watch your videos you inspire me as well. God Bless and Thank you, Chad

I've never had cancer or been through chemo so I don't know that type of sick, but I can imagine! Not being able to film in your darkest moments, is not you "not sharing" your journey, you do what you can, and when you feel well enough then film! I'm so sorry to hear about Sofia, I also followed her journey from the beginning, up until her unfortunate passing! Cancer sucks, and I can't wait for the day they find a cure! Sending love, hope, health and prayers your way! 🙏💗💕💌

Please, please make a video talking about what you thought chemo was vs what you experienced. As a cancer and hospice RN I get frustrated with doctors not giving patients (in my opinion) enough information or a patient remaining confused about exactly what is happening. I’ve learned there are patients who do not want details. But I think it is our job as cancer professionals to know the difference between those patients and those who want to know more. I truly feel like you would have benefited from knowing as much as possible as early as possible. I also think people don’t understand the chemo therapy process- it’s limitations, the types available, most importantly the difference between what curative and what is palliative. As cancer care providers we need to be clearer about what remission and survival and exactly what it means. Some doctors will define cure or survival as living for five or eight more years because that’s what the data has proven based on the treatment regimen and stage of disease. The problem is that the patient doesn’t always understand that definition of survival or remission. I think it would be a huge benefit if you can talk about what people can do to advocate for themselves, for example- request specific copies of records and hold people accountable to give answers, take notes at each visit and micromanage the entire process. I’m really learning a lot from you and I could imagine so many more people are -I wish you the best over the next few days keep up the fight

hey, i know hollister, california! it might be pretty in the spring after the winter rains, but not as pretty as where you are standing. i appreciate the window that you are letting everyone see how time consuming treatment can be and how it is almost like playing whack a mole with this happening and that occurring. that alone is making such a difference in how people will view treatment and be prepared for the warrior's fight. you really are coherent with all of the meds you are taking and how exhausting it is, but it is so great to see you out in nature with the sun and the birds and the flowers. and smiling. keep on with the normalcy however and when ever you can and save your strength. we'll be here. keep on keeping on.
