- In this video we explore the second D day operation where players control German destroyers. Here you can see possibly the best ship for this operation in action as I explain the mechanics while playing.

z-38 is best for those 4 or 6 kind of dds. i made almost 2k base and over 1 k easily

I had been using the Z-34 for a bit for the 6k hydro but after messing around with the different rentals and then coming back to Maass I found new appreciation for it. Kinda wish they gave at least one of the rentals better AA though if they were going to ask players to shoot down planes.
unfortunately German DDs don't get good AA until high tiers, but I agree, an AA boat would have been nice.
Does the operation tailor what bot ships spawn based on the tier of the human team? Or are lower tier ships just at a flat disadvantage compared to T7?
Why would you take a lower tier dd (except T-61) when you can take a rental Z-38?
The enemy HP and damage scale just like they do in normal ops. The only exceptional is the german PT boats which have a fixed HP

@@tsu7206 I have actually tried running t-22 as it is the only destroyer available for this op that has long range AA and flack whic allows it to shoot down the enemy planes much easier

Overheard today at FleetFest Paris - WG are working on bringing in T9s and T10s into ops. Time dust off all my harbour queens/dockyard ships gathering rust in port.
Lesta has had this for a while but looking at their approach, it's difficult to take 9s and 10s into the current ops, and instead new ops would be better
@@FV_Ops You might be right, although in talking with the EU community manager he stressed they were putting alot of work into new PvE modes and ops as well with a special emphasis on historical ops which the D-Day ones are just the precurosrs of. Hopefully that leads somewhere although im also reminded of how it took them 3-4 years after the implimentation of the orgional ops to even open them to tier 8s and introduce scalling.
